There's a big reason why not too many people like listening to Kula Shaker any more. I mean just exactly are lyrics such as "if you know your history you will read between the lines" and "jerry was there" supposed to mean? And they didn't exactly pick the smartest of places to gig (or album cover symbolism) if they weren't that way inclined. Don't get me wrong. I recognise cool music when I hear it. I'm just not sure whether I'm enjoying something which didn't come from a good place or not. Some great stuff on that album. ...and then you get to the "hidden" track at the end of the last track. Again, just what the hell is that supposed to sound like? Weird. They had plenty recognition. They were the next big thing. Seemed to have nothing left in the tank though. Did a good cover of "Hush" and then failed to write anything else which connected with people. Such a shame. I want to be able to say they were great but if the stories are true then they deserved their slide from fame.
