    • @MASAo7
      @MASAo7 5 лет назад +4

      There's a big reason why not too many people like listening to Kula Shaker any more. I mean just exactly are lyrics such as "if you know your history you will read between the lines" and "jerry was there" supposed to mean? And they didn't exactly pick the smartest of places to gig (or album cover symbolism) if they weren't that way inclined.
      Don't get me wrong. I recognise cool music when I hear it. I'm just not sure whether I'm enjoying something which didn't come from a good place or not.
      Some great stuff on that album.
      ...and then you get to the "hidden" track at the end of the last track. Again, just what the hell is that supposed to sound like? Weird.
      They had plenty recognition. They were the next big thing. Seemed to have nothing left in the tank though. Did a good cover of "Hush" and then failed to write anything else which connected with people.
      Such a shame. I want to be able to say they were great but if the stories are true then they deserved their slide from fame.

      Most of these songs have been in the '60s(psychodellic), but this is a great example of it in the '90s. Another example is from a group called Beautiful People in their samples of Jimi Hendrix's music. I usually don't like sampling, but in this case I will make a major exception. Mostly because they sample their music, but don't try to cover it and make it seem as if its their own. They document what they covered, for what song, etc. For that I give them cudos (sic).

      Cancel culture. Crispian Mills said he thought the swastika was a beautiful symbol. It’s all over asia and doesn’t mean what it did in Europe, yet, the left don’t care, they just want to ruin people for things they say. Vindictive bullies, essentially. They cancelled a band espousing peace and unity because of a misrepresented quote. Madness.

      If 60's Was 90's, which is an album done by a group called Beautiful People was a compilation of songs that are samples of Jimi Hendrix music. Also, this is the only time that I will say that "sampling" is OK because they, basically, made new Jimi Hendrix music from the old (and did it well, I might add). Bringing it back home... Kula Shaker brought back this music on their album "K". Between Kula Shaker and Beautiful People, this revives music of Rock and Roll in its best and purest form.
