A light in the dark sounds like a very important read. I avoided his story because of how people talk about him - and how it is like a lot of "romance" novels being misogynistic or terrifying yet women love those men. I put this on hold at the library. 🧡
This is off topic but recently you talked about reading big books and that really hit home with me. Seems many of my favorite books are 900 plus page count. One of my all time favorite books is “The Witching Hour “ by Anne Rice. I don’t recall hearing you talk about her writing. She is such a great Wordsmith and includes Historical Fiction in her horror books. I think you would really love this book. Hope you will give it a try. I’d love to hear your review.
A False Report got an incredible adaptation under the title Unbelievable, that was developed and scripted by Michael Chabon and Ayelet Waldeman. Superb casting on it as well.
I actually heard about the Edmunton case here in the US though I don’t remember many details of the tv or internet show I saw so it’s kind of funny you didn’t know about it till that book came out. You’re very right Bundy was a coward right up to the moment he was marched to his execution. At least one Washington state detective who was involved in the investigation and arrest of the killer said he was very surprised when he found out Bundy himself was afraid of death.⚛❤
Definitely adding some of these to my TBR! I just finished Empire of Pain which is about the Sackler family's role in precipitating the opioid crisis. Good read but made me pretty angry too. I'm currently reading Framed by John Grisham which is about innocent people that went to jail or death row. A bit repetitive, I've been reading each chapter and then reading something else to keep it fresh. But it's pretty good.
You might find Jeff Lindsey’s Dexter series interesting. They’re probably available in second hand shops and used book stores. Dark and disturbing for sure. 😺✌️
I only read one true crime book last year, unfortunately. It was Lost Gorls by Robert Kolker. I liked the concept but the writing was kind of messy. Not a strong book.
a light in the dark sounds like such a good & necessary perspective!! thank you for bringing that to my attention ❤
So necessary!
So many great books to add to my tbr. Thanks. I love true crime.
I loved seeing what true crime books you've been reading. I don't read very much true crime but these all sound extremely interesting.
Several of these are on my to read list but I'd never heard of The Devil's Cinema. I'll have to check it out.
Thank you for the video! Clay and Bones sounds super interesting, thanks for the recco!
Thank you for this list
Great video! I definitely need to add some of these books to my TBR.
Glad to put new things on your tbr

Yes it was the cold shower I needed to erase any "fascination' I had with him. Very important read
Definitely going to be checking out A Light in the Dark!
Hope you do!
Oh... I'm going to have to pick up a couple of those!
I think you'll enjoy some of these

Great upload !! silently read? do you usually read out loud? 😁
Haha I kept trying to title things. I just changed it again
I’m a Californian and remember the Polly Klaas kidnapping. So sad. 😔
So sad 😞
I will pick up The Devil's Cinema and best for the new year

Ah yes it's hard when the writing doesn't do justice to a case
I didn't realize I was so interested in true crime.
A False Report is so important
Agreed
"Dark Tide" by Edna Cowell Martin is a non-fiction book that came out in 2024 written by Ted Bundy's cousin. It is a very interesting perspective.
I might look that one up
Hi there Hi there Hi hey hello
