I use the leftover hay from my goats and sheep to mulch in some areas that I want to keep the weeds down , not on my veggies just like around bananas and berries things like that

A few decades ago it’d be fine, but yeah. Hard to find clean hay these days unless you know the source personally.

is very hard to really know what they put in it , luckily in some states you can find free wood chips to mulch as an option
