    I had the same thing with the combo of oversaturated soils and constant wind. My location we had some of the highest winds in Houston during the hurricane. I straightened the smaller things and left the trees alone to see what they would do. They didn't improve so I've had to do some major pruning for both aesthetics and to balance out the weight.

      One thing about gardening in Houston is that you need to learn to be resilient. If a freeze doesn't take you out, a drought will, a hurricane, or whatever else. It's crazy down here for sure. Hoping you didn't have any big losses.
