    1. Don't skip meals
    2. Not recording what you eat/keeping track of calories
    3. Not practicing portion control
    4. Not sleeping well (7-8 hours a day)
    5. Not keeping track of your carbs
    I'm surprised not exercising isn't mentioned! Keep active guys!

      When your older exercise doesn’t make you loose weight, it helps you maintain muscle mass and loose fat vs muscle.

    I'm 6 years out and I've had a 50 pound regain. Everything you said is absolutely true. I started keto 3 months ago and dropped 30 but the most important thing is that I've started listening to my body for hunger cues when I'm actually hungry and not eating out of boredom. Cutting carbs forces protein consumption which increases satiety. I am so mad at myself for regaining. I worked so hard preop and postop and now here I am, struggling again. I've adapted all my preop and postop tricks again and I've easily fallen back into sleeve mode. When we went into lockdown I started drinking beer again. Huge mistake. Beer really packs it on. Phew.

      Don't worry Linda!
      If you need help, talk to a friend and don't forget your main goal of losing weight, it is a difficult process, but you can do it!

      This is refreshing to hear. I am 7 years out and I've gained all my weight back. I've tried keto and gave up soon as the keto flu kicked in. I'm glad to know that I can go back to "sleeve mode". Congrats to you!

      Don’t beat yourself up, it’s a mental thing and really our parents/grandparents are the ones really to blame , they show love with food and didn’t know any better and thus training us to eat when we aren’t really hungry . Once you tackle this mentality, you got this

    This is very helpful. I have guilt sometimes for feeling hungry. But as long as i'm eating clean, I should listen to my body. And if I know my calorie count, i won't feel bad as long as i'm in my correct range.

    My new queue is a grumble it makes a sound like a growl when I’m almost full. Sometimes if I eat more than I should I feel like crap but also I get hiccups or burps.

    Thanks! You're helping somebody.. me! I'm 3 weeks out post-op and I was skipping meals and it wasn't because I was busy... I wasn't hungry. I also started tracking today on Fitness Pal and its a good tool. And I do understand now about skipping meals, I need the calories.

      I am always shook when people say that they skip meals because they're not hungry or they have to force themselves to eat because one thing i'm going to do is be reminded by my pouch that i;m hungry lolll

    I'm looking into doing the gastric sleeve surgery but my question is will I be able to to work out after the surgery like to tone up

    • @pjb7129
      @pjb7129 Год назад

      Yes of course you can once your body has recovered from the surgery. Due to the rapid weight-loss, loose skin is probably something that you will get. I am 5 months post op and 6 stone lighter with only 2/3 stone to go. It is the best decision that I have ever made.
