Wow... seeing and hearing these two swap tales like old friends is amazing.... So many memories of those Bruins vs Canadians games....Loved having Brian on the Bruins.... respect Chris so much more now for his insight and interview skills.
I remember big Bryan and he was a tough customer! He did what he had to do, as much as all the others that had this difficult job. It's funny to see him back here, both him and Chris certainly didn't have any love for each others when they played! But majority of those "enforcers" were good guys and it was a job. I was surprised he was playing tennis, didn't know that but he had the physical for doing it. Cool to hear him talk about his journey!
Great to hear the stories of the fights in that era. The style of hockey was so much fun to watch. Genuine anger/dislike and rivalries. I'd say the 1979-1989 was the peak time for hockey brawls Today's hockey is horrendous to watch.
This was awesome. The Colonel was my favorite Bruin growing up, and the reason #34 is my jersey number. Still have a stick he gave me in back Nov. 1985 sitting in the corner of my office. I remember Brian reading Nilan the riot act after their fight in Montreal following the Middleton incident. Always wondered what was said. But good stuff..
I was hoping it would happen and it did the colonel! I remember when you Miller went at it and attack dog Curran out of nowhere jumps in...Old time hockey, boy do I miss it. Thanks Knux.
Brian, nice job and great content! You had a really nice run with the Islanders … Jiggs dubbed you Iron Man, as you had a great, consistent run, bro! Did Probert surprise you in that 2nd fight vs him with him at the Joe?

@@stevebeman8298 I'll grant you the 6'0 because he said he's 5'11 & 3/4 lol but no way he played at 205. He was pretty skinny, medium build yes but his playing weight was no more than 185 to 195lb maybe.

Craig Berube is my number 10 all-time best fighter. The Chief is a legend 🙌 Jay Miller was an Octopus 🐙 mostly hugging and trying to neck guys in fights. Miller mostly threw pokes, feeble girly attempted punches that couldn't remash mashed potatoes. Once in a while he was lucky and stung a guy. Bruins had some good fighters, O'Reilly, Wensink, and Lucic. Jay Miller was Dave Brown's personal go-to punching bag of all time.
