this theory is good, but something i would like to point out is how garret would've died in 1987, because the fnaf movie novel says he's 25, and the movie takes place in 2000 as seen on a security camera in the intro.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for letting me know! I have heard now that he is 25 (which is a shame that his age was released after I posted), but besides the year I said, I think the rest of my theory holds well.
For the secret bunker theory there's also more evidence from the mimic being trapped in a bunker in FNaF ruin.

DUDE GARRET BEING THE PUPPET MAKES SO MUCH SENSE ACTUALLY also I actually don’t think Vanessa is a afton it makes no sense why her last name is Shelly UNLESS William afton is her step dad
The name thing confuses me too but that doesn't mean she's not an afton. While I don't think it's likely, she could've gotten married and taken the other person's name. She might have taken her mothers last name since she resents her father. She also could just be using a fake name similar to her father. Whatever the case may be, I think she's probably an afton unless she was kidnapped and manipulated at a very young age. I do hope we get more backstory for vannessa in the next movie though.

I agree with you TerminalError about william being the bite victim but i dont think it was his frontal lobe that he lost because the frontal lobe is what gives you a sense of humor and william laughs when mike encounters him.

Garret was the first one to die in the r rated script that was leaked, so he couldn’t have died before the other kids died, though i guess there’s no way to tell if that’s canon to the current script
I saw a video of the rated r script come up in my feed. I haven't watched it myself yet, but I do want to see it.
I think the second movie will be set after because Vanessa states that freddys was open in the 80s and the fnaf 2 animatronics are not there so I'm pretty sure it's going to be set after but maybe in the third movie it will be a prequel.
I really hope one of the future fnaf movies shows some stuff from the past, like Fredbear’s, I wanna see Fredbear in an actual animatronic form from either the games or a movie because we only see him as a mini game in fnaf games and Golden Freddy would be the closest animatronic to him
I think golden freddy and fredbear are the same but I would really like to see him in a pristine condition. Steel wool has stated they want to do games from earlier in the timeline so we might get something soon.
@@TerminalError oh yeah I guess they are similar but like u said, it would be great to see Fredbear’s Diner or something set in that time, maybe, if they are at a similar time like said by many theorists, I also hope to see the funtimes in action.
FNAF 3 is probably the next movie that we will see. I would love to see spring trap as the whole point of the movie and Venessa trying to get rid of her like Michael does in the games.
I think we might also get some fnaf 3 representation, but we're more likely to get it with fnaf 2 flashbacks. I only think this because if we see Vanessa fighting her dad in the next movie, it'll cut to her helping him in the past and give us context of why he did it.
Maybe it ends with springtrap killing vanessa and mike finds garrett/puppet in a sister location, with the last movie being springtrap & some new animatronics vs mike, puppet, & ella (if they decide to kill abby in the second movie)

YES ANOTHER THEORY ON FNAF MOVIE THANK YOU. But anyways, if I understand this correctly between the MCI timeline and Charlie's death (garret in this case), these events were switched in a way? You mentioned that the MCI is what drove Henry to leave which after stack of events happened it motivates William to kidnap his son Garret. But in the games it was Charlie first and then MCI happened. And to me that opens up a whole another can of worms of where the story will be going and i love itt.
Yeah, I originally thought that Garrett happened after the MCI because it would give Henry a reason for leaving and then give William motivation for revenge. I thought this would've been a really interesting way to tell the story. Sadly, Matpat put out his theory before mine and pointed out that MCI has to happen after Garrett's death because of the picture, and I definitely think he's right.

I think it should also be a sequel if for no other reason than to keep Josh Hutcherson, but I also feel we need some information of what happened from the past through flashbacks and stuff. I think we need a good combo of both for the movie
