I absolutely love that elf is being a dupe company, honestly a lot of make up is really over priced in my opinion and I loved having a reliable company to get dupes.
I recently watched ‘it’s Just Steph’ do an inventory of her entire collection and it was eye opener for me. I’d did my own this weekend and I was stunned how many items I have in my collection. I have put myself in “makeup jail’ for the 1st half of this year and try to pan a few things and use up a few others. For now I’ll be “shopping my stash” for 6 months. Hopefully I’ll be proud of myself by July1😊
Sarah Rose inspired me to photograph my collection by product type. It was a great way to "see" everything I had, and I was shocked to see how many products I had accumulated (and some hardly used!) over the year! I kept the pics on my phone so that when I want to buy something, all I have to do is scroll through the images before "adding to cart!"
I totally understand your conflict with elf! As a college student I love the affordable price, but I like it when they are unique! Also finding accidental dupes is like finding the prize to a treasure hunt, and it's way more satisfying haha. You're videos always brighten my day! I hope your year is starting off well!!

It’s very true! I feel like the rate at which TikTok products go viral is crazy. Sometimes I watch videos where people test viral products and I had no idea some of them went viral but it’s just a new products every day!

Same! I absolutely looooove the peach sunset blush and the clay eyeshadow palette! I use the sunrise palette all the time - the color story isn't super exciting but I absolutely love the formula. Lol but it's def above my price range, I only get tarte thru boxy.
I love the Glossier cloud paints because they are easy to apply and last pretty well if you have oily skin. I’m hoping that Sephora sells those as well as their skin care because I would like to try more. I expected Glossier to consider Ulta over Sephora because their products appeal to younger consumers and Ulta stocks more in that price range, but Sephora will definitely bring in new demos for their brand to sell to.
Hands down Tarte! I’m so loyal with their eyeshadows and mascaras. I organize this past weekend and there’s so much products I have to get through this year, so I’m putting myself on a low buy this year lol. Always love your recommendations .
Glossier’s Cloud Paint in Dusk is the only product I have from them and looove it! Tip: use a pin or earring to poke a small hole thru the foil seal bc then you can squeeze out a very tiny bit of product! Dusk is the perfect nude with hint of peach. Place a dot on back of hand and use a brush to apply or app 3 small dots to cheek and blend out with fingers. I love the eco tools pink stipple brush or elf flawless face brush to apply cloud paints. 💕
I love the Glossier skin tint. Perfect for super light coverage days when I want "something" but not too much coverage. I especially love to use it in the summer.

I just saw the Bite Size quads in my local Walmart. One was very orange and light, and the other had some pretty greens. They only had the shadows out and nothing else from the line. The shadows were pretty hidden on the bottom row.
The Target I was shopping at was a disaster too, clothes on the floor, this that and the other everywhere! Lol so disappointing for Target! They really need to get it together!
Oh yes! I don’t know why I said I’ve never tried a liquid contour because I just recently tried that one! I do really love it and the shade options are really nice!

For Glossier I like the Monochrome eyeshadow pallettes. I like the orange and pink one. I like the stretch concealer. Some people don't but you could try it. I like the Generation G lipstick too. Thanks for the video!

Glossier used to hard to get a hold off as you had to order from their site, they are that super natural no make makeup brand, everything is very sheer and light. The cloud paint cheel blushes are the only thing I like from the makeup.

I have seen a lot of reviews on that Mario foundation, and while everyone loves the initial application, everyone hates how it wears. Even my reviewers with super dry skin end up hating it. I am interested to hear your final review on it.
I feel like it definitely wears best if I go in with a really light layer but I do notice if I build it at all it can tend to look cakey. The finish is so gorgeous but it seems like a finicky foundation. 😭
The new Revlon Illuminance Skin Care foundation is everything I wanted the MBM to be. I’ve only seen one review on the Revlon so maybe it’s not popular, but I love it on my mature combination skin. I returned the NYX…the tan shades are orange. I do want to try the UD concealer and the About Face lip product and most likely the NYX lip oil. So much newness! My poor wallet. 😅 I’m glad that Cover fx is coming back, I used to like the foundation and they had great olive shades.
That’s good to hear about the new Revlon foundation. I think I’ll try it. I feel like Revlon in general doesn’t get much attention. Maybe since they aren’t the trendy brand if that makes sense. Also not cruelty free which is why some may not review them.

@@valerietodd2024 I didn’t think about Revlon not being cruelty free. I have trouble keeping up with which brands are/are not. I like the reformulated version of the Revlon Colorstay foundation as well, but not as much as the Illuminance one. I love trying any and all new foundations. 😊
@@CareyXO I do too! I keep looking for that perfect one I think, even though I have many I love already! I watch a few creators who are exclusively cruelty free so that’s how I knew.
Glossier cloud paints are my fave from the brand. I have three shades and want two more. The stretch concealer is nice too, and I do like the boy brow (not the strongest hold but nice natural finish) and brow flick. But brow flick takes time to learn and to use, never as quick and easy as a pencil, but results are beautiful once you get the hang of it! (Kathleen Lights brows for example). Overall, I feel like glossier has some nice products to try and keep, but overall youre not "missing out" if you dont bother.

I just got the NYX tinted brow glue and love it so much 😍 I feel is better formula than the clear one. My eyebrows are really difficult to style so I loved the staying power of this. I love that ColourPop is going into Target! However, I'm a bit worried mine won't have it because my Target location does not have Ulta Beauty. If U could give me an affordable cream/liquid foundation recommendation 4 dry/combo skin that's lightweight & I can use it w/my IT Cosmetics 101 brush - what would U suggest?? I like medium-full coverage. I don't wanna have it feel heavy or like it's clogging my pores, nooks & crannies. I also want a formula that I can EASILY remove when I'm ready.
Please review the new urban decay concealer asap! I can't wait to try the new elf primer. Also, the elf power grip primer is the finicky with different foundations, and that bums me out. I always have to test out with a new foundation on the weekend in case it doesn't work well.

Hi Andrea. Enjoyed this video! I'm looking forward to CP coming to Target, but my Target sounds like yours! (Picked over and messy!) I almost didn't find the CP Christmas releases as they were thrown haphazardly on an end cap with no displays! I'm also keeping my eye on Tarte. I purchased a few things from them last year that I really enjoyed! And, finally - like you and so many of your audience - I'm really trying to cut back on my beautu purchases this year. Let's hope we can all be strong and support each other through the year with this decision! ;)

Don’t purchSe directly from milani. I and many other reviewers have not received our orders or a response from milani. I ordered on 12/27 and it still has not left their warehouse. Seems to be happening with everyone else too.
I was super interested in the ND pastel highlighter but it seems like it's not available in Canada for some reason. Anyway, that was until I watched reviews on it, not one review was positive. So that's that on that 😅
I'm with you, I hope elf doesn't go into duping. A dupe here and there is really great, but not everything. Makeup Revolution was really cool at first. But I haven't bought anything from MR for years. It got to the point where their prices kept creeping up so high it isn't even worth it for the low quality, imo.
Yes! I think the occasional dupe makes sense and almost makes it more fun but it seems like most of their launches have been dupes. I agree with Makeup Revolution. Some of their products are great but the quality can definitely be inconsistent.
@@AndreaMatillano I can't lie, I was intrigued by MRs Hourglass face palette dupes, but they are too pricey, imo. I'd be mad if I paid that much for garbage 😅. And yes, the occasional dupes does make it more exciting. I don't mind the dupes for the viral items, I think they're killing it when it comes to those. I just don't want to see them start duping brands like ColourPop, I think that would be tacky. Now, if they ever do dupe the Hourglass palettes I would literally die. That is the one thing out of my budget that I've always had major fomo for lol. One of these days 🥰
The Ulta in my Target is awful and the beauty section at all the other Target locations is always a complete mess especially during the holidays I can’t find anything and everything is just everywhere opened by customers and not in the correct areas
@@AndreaMatillano I would maybe check out reviews first - word on the street is they are reformulating to be "clean" at Sephora. They're pulling a Bite Beauty and taking out the ingredients that made the balm good to begin with and we all know how that turned out for them... Many long time customers are upset.
If you wanna try or play with liquid contour, try the little concealer in a tube by Revlon in Nutmeg and it has a little sponge applicator too! I love it!!
oh Andrea , i bought the pillow talk its absolutely gorgeous its a delicate pink perfect for just ontop of blush it just sinks into the skin its amazing , i love it , yes the pan is loose in the compact because your able to buy a refil , but i highly recommend, !charlottes contour wand its the shade and the blend its the ease of the blend its difficult to explain but its blends beautifully and it just melts into your skin but i believe its her secret ! is the ease of blend its a stunning cool shade its a true contour ! i would never buy another product after using hers.i am spoilt !
I tried the NYX Blur, it was way too matte for me, and I love matte and natural finish, I have normal sometimes dry skin, was too cakey and just felt awful.....I want to try the tarte Contour stick or maybe the Milani

I could be wrong but, I think the NYX Fat Oil is kinda "picking up" on the Fenty Fat Water 🤷♀️ Elf is the next "dupe" brand?? I don't see it but, if they are, they can only dupe the idea of a product - NOT the formula. There isn't a monopoly on makeup, any brand can release anything. I mean, whichever brand(s) created, let's say the very first "glowy foundation" or "luminous blusher", couldn't stop other brands creating their own versions of them. I have the first Hocus Pocus palette from colourpop all eyeshadows are soft. There really is no need to spend a lot. Even with skin care. I’ve been loving Bliss products.
Don’t get the Nyx fat oil lipgloss. I got it in Canada. It’s basically just a Lipgloss. It’s thick and sticky. And does not plump. It’s not a lip oil at all even if it’s a says it on the packaging. It’s false advertising. I had to return it.
I seen Colourpop at my Target a few week’s ago and the set up was…. Well….. not really a set up!! It look’s like the product’s are thrown on the shelf’s ugh 😩 lol
I actually can't stand Target because they're always moving things around (on purpose), the aisles are tiny, and it's just a disaster most always. I enjoyed shopping there many years ago, but the past 4+ years have been a mess at ANY Target store.

I feel like it definitely wears best if I go in with a really light layer but I do notice if I build it at all it can tend to look cakey. The finish is so gorgeous but it seems like a finicky foundation. 😭

The new Revlon Illuminance Skin Care foundation is everything I wanted the MBM to be. I’ve only seen one review on the Revlon so maybe it’s not popular, but I love it on my mature combination skin. I returned the NYX…the tan shades are orange. I do want to try the UD concealer and the About Face lip product and most likely the NYX lip oil. So much newness! My poor wallet. 😅 I’m glad that Cover fx is coming back, I used to like the foundation and they had great olive shades.
That’s good to hear about the new Revlon foundation. I think I’ll try it. I feel like Revlon in general doesn’t get much attention. Maybe since they aren’t the trendy brand if that makes sense. Also not cruelty free which is why some may not review them.

@@valerietodd2024 I didn’t think about Revlon not being cruelty free. I have trouble keeping up with which brands are/are not. I like the reformulated version of the Revlon Colorstay foundation as well, but not as much as the Illuminance one. I love trying any and all new foundations. 😊
@@CareyXO I do too! I keep looking for that perfect one I think, even though I have many I love already! I watch a few creators who are exclusively cruelty free so that’s how I knew.
Glossier cloud paints are my fave from the brand. I have three shades and want two more. The stretch concealer is nice too, and I do like the boy brow (not the strongest hold but nice natural finish) and brow flick. But brow flick takes time to learn and to use, never as quick and easy as a pencil, but results are beautiful once you get the hang of it! (Kathleen Lights brows for example). Overall, I feel like glossier has some nice products to try and keep, but overall youre not "missing out" if you dont bother.

I just got the NYX tinted brow glue and love it so much 😍 I feel is better formula than the clear one. My eyebrows are really difficult to style so I loved the staying power of this. If U could give me an affordable cream/liquid foundation recommendation 4 dry/combo skin that's lightweight & I can use it w/my IT Cosmetics 101 brush - what would U suggest?? I like medium-full coverage. I don't wanna have it feel heavy or like it's clogging my pores, nooks & crannies. I also want a formula that I can EASILY remove when I'm ready.

Also, the elf power grip primer is the finicky with different foundations, and that bums me out. I always have to test out with a new foundation on the weekend in case it doesn't work well.

Hi Andrea. Enjoyed this video! I'm looking forward to CP coming to Target, but my Target sounds like yours! (Picked over and messy!) I almost didn't find the CP Christmas releases as they were thrown haphazardly on an end cap with no displays! I'm also keeping my eye on Tarte. I purchased a few things from them last year that I really enjoyed! And, finally - like you and so many of your audience - I'm really trying to cut back on my beautu purchases this year. Let's hope we can all be strong and support each other through the year with this decision! ;)

I'm with you, I hope elf doesn't go into duping. A dupe here and there is really great, but not everything. Makeup Revolution was really cool at first. But I haven't bought anything from MR for years. It got to the point where their prices kept creeping up so high it isn't even worth it for the low quality, imo.
Yes! I think the occasional dupe makes sense and almost makes it more fun but it seems like most of their launches have been dupes. I agree with Makeup Revolution. Some of their products are great but the quality can definitely be inconsistent.
@@AndreaMatillano I can't lie, I was intrigued by MRs Hourglass face palette dupes, but they are too pricey, imo. I'd be mad if I paid that much for garbage 😅. And yes, the occasional dupes does make it more exciting. I don't mind the dupes for the viral items, I think they're killing it when it comes to those. I just don't want to see them start duping brands like ColourPop, I think that would be tacky. Now, if they ever do dupe the Hourglass palettes I would literally die. The Ulta in my Target is awful and the beauty section at all the other Target locations is always a complete mess especially during the holidays I can’t find anything and everything is just everywhere opened by customers and not in the correct areas

@@AndreaMatillano I would maybe check out reviews first - word on the street is they are reformulating to be "clean" at Sephora. They're pulling a Bite Beauty and taking out the ingredients that made the balm good to begin with and we all know how that turned out for them... Many long time customers are upset.

oh Andrea , i bought the pillow talk its absolutely gorgeous its a delicate pink perfect for just ontop of blush it just sinks into the skin its amazing , i love it , yes the pan is loose in the compact because your able to buy a refil , but i highly recommend, !charlottes contour wand its the shade and the blend its the ease of the blend its difficult to explain but its blends beautifully and it just melts into your skin but i believe its her secret ! is the ease of blend its a stunning cool shade its a true contour ! i would never buy another product after using hers.i am spoilt !
I tried the NYX Blur, it was way too matte for me, and I love matte and natural finish, I have normal sometimes dry skin, was too cakey and just felt awful.....I want to try the tarte Contour stick or maybe the Milani

I don't see it but, if they are, they can only dupe the idea of a product - NOT the formula. There isn't a monopoly on makeup, any brand can release anything.
I mean, whichever brand(s) created, let's say the very first "glowy foundation" or "luminous blusher", couldn't stop other brands creating their own versions of them. It, literally, is a "free for all" in the makeup world.

I have the first Hocus Pocus palette from colourpop all eyeshadows are soft. There really is no need to spend a lot. Even with skin care. I’ve been loving Bliss products.
I’m gonna have to try more Bliss products. I hear so many good things about that brand!

Don’t get the Nyx fat oil lipgloss. I got it in Canada. It’s basically just a Lipgloss. It’s thick and sticky. And does not plump. It’s not a lip oil at all even if it’s a says it on the packaging. It’s false advertising. I had to return it.
I LOVE the tartes palette packaging, but I don’t care for the shapes inside. That would be the only reason for me not to buy one lol.

That’s true! My Target seems to have limited space and it sounds like the ColourPop display is going to be pretty big.
Are you still subscribed to Boxycharm? I unsubscribed last year due to moving and have been wanting to reactive my subscription but my sisters are in the process of unsubscribing because they feel that Boxycharm hasn’t been great ever since Ipsy bought it over and the products in the last year have not been worth it at all.
I’ve never used glossier because they had a huge racism controversy, so I wouldn’t recommend it
