Perfect timing for the video, I'm putting race tech gold valves and springs in my roadglide this week. Nice to see some insight on properly setting it up.
If you want your 100th anniversary derby cover, air cleaner and cam cover medallions to pop, remove the badges, powder coat the covers black and reinstall the badges with 2 sided 3m automotive tape,I did that with mine and they look killer. Also check out Pistol Pete’s custom cycles in Menominie Wi,he offers a lower rear mount Brembo caliper kit for skinny baggers,he also has a kit for the newer bagger to.
Steve, can you talk about the Ohlins reservoir shocks? I'm looking to upgrade on my street glide special. Can you still use the HD docking kit and accessories when mounting the reservoirs? I don't want to lose the capabilities of running a passenger sissy bar, rack, and tour pack on occasion.
Best option then is ohlins 044 shocks and big bear makes a way back mount that will clear all or remove the facia and put in between bag and fender with supplied hardware. Hope that helps
So what is the rationale behind installing on those parts on the front end...what does it buy you? What will be the difference in performance. Newbie here..just trying to understand why I might want to do this?
@@schamberlin5150 i got a 97 electraglide. I meant just go back to the stock rear tire. I put a bigger tire. Not unhappy with it but i feel like the skinny tire zipped around a lil better.
Hey Steve sick build! Was there a reason you went geezer instead of the bbc stem conversion? I know the geezer keeps stock trail I believe? Also did you go +2 on the front end? Thanx 👊👊👊
Have done the big bear neck stem in the past. Since I’m keeping it all visible I decided to to do the whole new trees. No I did 23.5” tubes and a 21” wheel. Looks like it will sit good with the 14” rear shockw
@@curtissdoyle8959 on the 06 and down it’s looking like it’s fine. 09-16 13.5” looks like the max. 17+ looks like 14.25” is max. Not positive on the 07 n 08s with the 6 speed tho
Looks like some good progress man! I have looked at the racetech suspension before for the sheer price difference. Have you used it before or is this gonna be your first time trying the racetech stuff?
Steve thanks for posting have not seen you for a while on RUclips
I feel like those cowbells are gonna be a hit
Great looking bike, Steve! You're killing it, again! Thanks for the great review!

That’s a good idea!! Prolly going to leave the factory rear brake and 08 n up brembos up front for now
@@schamberlin5150 I upgraded with the Brembo brakes and the 11.8 wave rotors up front👍
Looks great man! Excited to see how it turns out.
Thanks man!
Sick! Just got an 03 doing a budget build. Quick tip I machine down the damper cups so they don’t block any of the drilled holes. 🤙🏽
Well that kinda defeats the purpose of the cups from bottoming out now
Great explanation from Mark on the Race tech stuff!
Dude I spend money everytime I watch one of your videos but thanks for the ideas another great video
Dude I spend money everytime I make these videos!!
I have run the racetec emulators for years and was always amazed at how few people run them.
The work good if you have the patience and know how to set em up properly
I got racing bros in my front end ready to try it out snow needs to melt
Always love hearing some TPMC knowledge.
Maybe Mark could start a tech tip series?
I’ll drop off tacos ;)
I love tacos
@@schamberlin5150 not Taco Bell lol.
Great info. Thanks Steve

@@schamberlin5150 I’ll look at that set. I had my eyes on the 772 setup as well. Thanks for the quick reply. Love the content.
@@dobber9076 the 772s and 159s without the reservoirs are a wonderful choice as well!
is it possible to have the plan to machine the plate of the spedometer and Rpm ?
Thank you

It gives you full adjustability on the valving in your front end. Only downfall is it takes disassembled to adjust
I’ll be down at Daytona coming to get my signature since you left Michigan before I could get it lol
Hahaha you got it. Lol
See you there Steve ✌️
Skinny tire bagger makes me happy. Makes me want to unconvert mine back to skinny 😂😂
What ya workin with

Working. Building bikes and custom parts
The cowbells are a prototype idk if yall caught that haha
Looking good, just not feeling that seat
It was cheap. Not a ton of options for 2007 n older touring that fit my style
