Hello, unfortunately we can't turn those off. You may consider subscribing to RUclips Premium, which grants you ad-free viewing.
We use MacBook Airs in our schools with your Viewboards, are we not supposed to be able to use Airplay functionality natively? We have 6550-2 model, or something like that.. Any thoughts on why our Mac’s randomly disconnect? Is it because we aren’t using those cables in this video?
In order of preferred ways to connect a Mac we suggest 1) Hardwired 2) vCast and 3) Airplay. Wired obviously is always consistent with no chance for disconnect. vCast Receiver is casting through the ViewSonic app which is more stable and gives you touchback however, with any casting device there's always a chance for disconnect, especially over a long period of time. If a teacher is at the board, we recommend plugging the device in since you're already teaching up front (or students). When you need to rove or have small groups switch to casting so you can take your device with you.
can you use the pens to make notations on the screen like a smart board if you have it hooked to a mac?
ViewBoard do have overlay tools that allow you write over the top of anything on the screen.
Which of your 65" products are compatible with Mac?
Hi Matt, all of our IFP models, no matter the size, are compatible with Mac
Will the viewboard be interactive when the mac is running/displaying? Our school bought these and I was told that Macs are limited to display only and that they won't be touch-sensitive/interactive. I hope that's not true!
Hi Derek! If you connect (hardwire) your Mac to your display it can be interactive however, you have to remember to connect BOTH the HDMI and USB cables. Sometimes Mac devices do require additional drivers so be sure to check the product page for your specific board model to find the Mac Drivers.
You can say USB-A and USB-B to educators. You didn't explain what the touch cable does.
