The best Bigfoot is still Bigfoot 4 - the first purpose-built Monster Truck. I remember seeing the radio controlled Bigfoot 4 at Radio Shack. I must've been maybe 5 or 6 years old. I wanted it so badly, but my parents wouldn't buy it. It was like $99.99, which was pretty expensive in the mid 80s. Later that year at Christmas I was completely shocked when I opened a gift and there is was - the Bigfoot 4 RC. I kept that Bigfoot well into my 30s even though the remote was gone and it was well used up. For so long I could not let go of it because of how much my parents sacrificed for that.
monster jam is the best out there and entertainment value is awsome, only thing thats missing is a point system to see who wins in the end, other than that doenst get better

While it does suck that Bigfoot and Feld wont get along.......we can never have the "Whos the Best" competition.....but it opens up ALOT of independent shows to have Bigfoot......and honestly ive been to independent shows and Monster Jam shows, independent shows win hands down.....they dont go hard on colorful theatrics but rely more on the truck and driver

I still think to this day, when they Jumped Bigfoot over that plane, he probably still could have cleared it, if the plane was up on it's landing gear instead of it sitting on its belly as in the video......Bigfoot always landed nose heavy, because of the engine in the front, they maybe could have added some weight to the bed of the truck to make it fly through the air more level......
Trailer parks in Texas would have been celebrating this jump for weeks, Knickleback would have been playing all night.... congrats. . Kids would have gone hungry when folks got boozed up, parents arrested and locked up from the Bigfoot vs Gravedigger rivalry that spilled over into the public BBQ areas of the trailer park. An amazing time to be alive if your living in a trailer park
Bad Habit is a mom and pop outfit who didn't have all the money and sponsors and every resource available to compete for the title and they did beat the first record. I don't think Big Foot deserved the title, anyone who has money to burn can always do something better by the books, but by the heart Bad Habit is still the winner.

You must have started watching monster trucks in the 2000s bigfoot was always trying to raise the bar for the sport. Monster truck has gone from a sport to an entertainment. Watch monster jam. It takes a lot of skill to just mash the throttle and wreck a truck. Monster jam is garbage. Almost all of the vehicles are owned by Feld motorsports. That's why you always see drivers floating around from truck to truck. Most of the drivers are just making a salary. Its not really about winning.
I met Dan in Columbus, Georgia a few years ago. He was getting Bigfoot ready for a show & I was surprised to see him "assembling" it alone. He was a class act. I had pulled into where he was in my company truck & he answered each & every one of my 9000 questions & never seemed annoyed or even preoccupied. That's the way it should be. All too often, people in positions such as his can be short with observers or even downright rude. Dan was neither... it was very cool chatting it up with someone who clearly loves what he does, but cares about the fans too.
A local guy who used to run a truck in the smaller Monster Jam events told me that Monster Jam owns grave digger and Anderson is just paid to drive and tear it up. There's your politics.
I'm 43 now and Big Foot has been part of my life for most of it. I have seen Jim Kramer and Bob Chandler in MSG in NYC and Nassau Coliseum on Long Island so many times when I was kid. My dad brought me to so many of these events. This video brought back so many great memories. Thank you.

Agreed, Anthony, it might as well be called SUMMIT, since that logo is bigger than Bigfoot. I love the retro Bigfoot 1 body they used in 2015 (iirc), I wish they would have made an 80s BF body too, those were my favorite ones, because that's what I grew up watching.
While it is a cool design, and I do like it, it just doesn't have the Bigfoot vibe. It would be cool for another monster truck, but I grew up watching the golden era of monster trucks, so I automatically like the old ones (1-8 or so). I really got annoyed when they started doing the weird yellow, and red stripe down the side around 1990. I know things evolve and change, but I like BF to at least have some semblance of it originally being a regular Ford.
I'm 36 and have loved monster trucks longer than I can remember - I work in the automotive industry with 4x4's and actually learned a couple of new things about monster trucks from this video!
Big foot, gravedigger, etc. All of them are owned by the same company. Feld entertainment, they also own Disney on Ice and Ringling bros. Ringling bros might be closed now...

That's because almost all of the trucks apart of monster jam sold out and owned by feld motorsports. I wouldn't wanna be apart of monster jam either where its about crashing your truck then using actual driving skills and technology
