From the sounds of it, Lauryn had a very difficult life. She was the victim of predators in her teens and her life hasn't gone great since then. That happened to a number of 90s female singers. We're only now just finding out what some of these young girls went through in the entertainment business. The Nickelodeon/P Diddy stuff is only the tip of the iceberg. She wanted to be a singer and she had 2 adult men who she looked up to as artists preying on her when she was a teenager. Then she got pregnant and disappeared. The world is a messed up place and young women, especially young black women, are usually the victims of it and shamed for it. It's easy to tell someone to "make better life decisions," but when you're 16, 17, 18, you don't know anything yet. In the industry, you're thrown into an adult world surrounded by sleaze bags who you think have your back because you all supposedly want the same things. You think you're in love so you make really bad decisions. It's impossible for me to judge her. Tanya is a great singer, but they both should have been there, and I completely understand why Lauryn declined. She's had a rough go of it.
Who are the 2 guys rapping? They don't look the original guys who rapped in the movie. Obviously the white guy in the film probably didn't actually rap, but I doubt these were the original rap vocalists.
I have no idea…they definitely were the original cast.
Watch the whole episode. Yes they are the originals. Everyone on that stage except for the young highschool kids in the back are the originals.

Obviously, not all of the original cast is going to show up to the reunion. I’m guessing the actors who rapped in the movie declined going to the reunion. FYI: the white guy aka Frank K did rap in the movie. He did continue to act, but I guess stopped after 2018. I can’t find what happened to the other actor who rapped in the movie. Jennifer Love Hewitt participated through video message and so did Alanna (the love boat girl). Some just could not make it to the reunion and others declined.
