I remember watching sister act 2 as a teen, when Tanya belted « Mary had a little lamb » I had shivers. I’m from a small French Canadian town and I’ve sang in the choir since I’m 6 and I never heard a voice like that!! Love this so much ❤

It's nice seeing Tanya's take on the solo. I had always wondered what her version would've sounded like. I'll never know her youthful version of it, but mature Tanya did not disappoint! 🎉🎉🎉

It's such a shame Lauryn lost her voice and would be unable to sing the song today.
Tanya's voice matured like fine wine on the other hand. I love her wondrous instrument!!!

I'm not crying, YOU'RE crying! 😭 God this gives me goosebumbs and yes, tears, every...single...time I hear these songs. I still sing them the way they were sang in these movies. 🥰 To see Whoopi cry at the end, yup...totally emo over here. As was she and so many others. 🙏💗🙏💗🙏💗
Kinda sucls that "kids these days" wouldn't know about movies like these, but I for sure, raised my son on AAAALL the movies I grew up on, and he LOVES them. Funny when we ask his gf "have you watched *instert old movie here*" and her response is always, "what's that?" Lol! Gonna need to have a sit down with here. I got my grandbabies watching the old cartoon movies I watched when I was their age. They're still young, but they'll grow to appreciate them, like my son has, and how I do!! 🥰❤️

Yikes! I didn’t know that was Tanya Blount from “His Eye Is On The Sparrow” duet! I am attached to effortless easygoing-ness of the original one. Now that I know this is Tonya Blount. I get it. She always had that “girl…you can blow..uh uh this voice is for church” type voice.

At a very young age of five, "Sister Act", opened the door of joy in my heart which showed me that even the world of showbusiness was able to bring the light of praising and worshiping God through the diverse eyes of viewers around the world. I really love movies with church choir teams (themes), they really inspire me especially I'm a worship pastor in our church and at the last part of that Now where Whoopie cried, I myself can't hold back my tears seeing the same choir team that inspired me as a child. Thank you so much, "Sister Act". You'll always be my fave ❤❤❤
