I really love movies with church choir teams (themes), they really inspire me especially I'm a worship pastor in our church and at the last part of that Now where Whoopie cried, I myself can't hold back my tears seeing the same choir team that inspired me as a child. My God, I am so overwhelmed with emotions and a sort of sadness. As a kid my dad would play the songs of the movie every morning before we went to school. That was 20 years ago. I am so sad life has turned to what it is now and all these nice things are forever left in the past and our memories. Today I feel completely heartbroken.
Version 1 takes me back to my childhood!!!! But There is something extra special about the NOW version. It’s like it’s dipped in honey with the seasonings of life making it extra special.

She’s definitely got the pipes. It’s a blessing that their voices are still just as good as they were back then. So happy for them to come back and make us smile again. If you remember this movie from that time we are all blessed to still be here to enjoy it. This brought tears to my eyes and you can see the joy in everyone’s eyes and faces as they sang this. It takes me back to happy and simpler times. This is definitely a song that puts a smile on my face. Lauryn Hill was on track to be one of the most amazing voices of her generation but then kinda fell out, but her voice is unmistakable. Tanya Blount killed this set with her singing ability being closer to matching that Gospel vibe. Both attacked the song differently but absolutely amazing!

I always loved the original but the new one is just as beautiful but strong and unique in a different way and was beautiful! Lauryn Hill was on track to be one of the most amazing voices of her generation but then kinda fell out, but her voice is unmistakable. Tanya Blount killed this set with her singing ability being closer to matching that Gospel vibe. Both attacked the song differently but absolutely amazing!
That was epic. I love both versions. So good to see the old cast members. Wow Whoopi was so proud and overwhelmed with emotion at the end. That was so amazing to watch.
