I started following this channel for the DIY tips. Linnea's skillset is much more advanced than mine but that's who you learn from; especially when they let you see the fails on the way to the fixes, like today. My build is done and I almost stopped following. But two things originally kept me hooked: Akela and the occasional mental health talks. Both of those still apply but the video work, wow. Maybe I wasn't paying attention before, but the shot framing, the editing, everything, make me feel like I'm watching reality TV on a good day. That shot of Rain and Akela silhouetted by the sunset, more wow.
What an amazing life u r giving Akela. I have a WGS Lunana. She’s bigger than most male GSD’s. She’s my everything. It makes me smile they way u talk to Akela. I get it! Ur a good mom.
Akela and Rain are so cute together. Rain has such a personality, quite the little diva…..which is adorable. And Akela, well what can I say? She’s the perfect traveling companion….loving, loyal, clever and fun.🥰
I'm a new subscriber. Linnea, you are amazing. I love your depth of character, your logical and analytical approach to every problem, your tenacity. I could just go on and on, but I don't want your head to no longer fit in your van. 🤣 Seriously though, I'm far from alone in saying that your videos are some of the best on youtube. 👍🏻
Hi you two, I just want to say how lovely it is to watch you both! I had a white German Shepherd, Kashmir, who was the light of my life ❤️ Watching Akela is like watching Kashmir. Thank you and if you ever come to the Southeast, you are both welcome! All the best! ❤️
Oh gosh I can totally relate to your attitude towards your no power situation haha. For years I dealt with no power quiet often until I got a seperate battery and solar panel for my fridge. And used a seperate battery solar system for lights and laptop.
Love that rain and Akela are best buds. I know rain well as she's my grand-pup. She has a way of winning even the crabbiest of dogs over. Her "dog-aunt" , Molly, is a choc lab who can be a bit of a bully, and rain quickly charmed her way into Molly's heart. So glad that Linnea and Sarah have connected. Linnea's you tube videos were our #1 source during Sarah's van build. Linnea--your videos are beautiful. The photography is awesome and I love that they reflect both the joys and challenges of van life. And, love Akela too.
Dang. Make your way out to Colorado, I live in my van and work at a place that does high end Sprinter build outs. We’ll get your electrical figured out in a heartbeat. Been in a van for over two years now.
The doggos were so fun to watch! 🐾 Glad you solved for your heater issue! We really appreciate this inside perspective on vanlife, it was real and honest, steady living. Thanks 😊
Man she is truest living her best life…… just the freedom does it for me…. I know it’s not always 🌞 days in VL but man it’s Fascinating. Linnea you are so brave, to me anyway half the stuff you do I couldn’t do. You are truly a inspiration to us all in one way or another. 💪🏾 🙂
So wonderful for me to see this, I think some guys don’t bury their poo when they should and leave you and your friend buried it. You always lose power of late but something somewhere is not working properly. Good luck with finding the fault👍
i'm sorry about all the problems with your electrical system but it sure is educational. i'm not great with electrical systems so it's nice to learn before it happens to me.
Absolutely fantastic I look forward to watching you both...Akela has such a beautiful soul she’s such a beautiful fur baby! Until next time stay safe on your journey x💕
So glad you fixed the heater. Hope it keeps going for ya. I’m having the opposite problem; in Fl and the air conditioner died. It’s been way too hot down there for Yeti and Yowie (my pups). I’m hoping to come west someday. I’ve only been at this for a few months. A little nervous still. But you inspire me!! Have fun, be safe! 😊
Hey, from the past videos (of your build) I've seen that you (I think) have connected the shunt wrong, which could be the reason why you can't see your batteries charge correctly (and your loads). I don't know if you changed that since then, but go on RUclips and look for "Camper Van Electrical System" from Moser Makes. Literally copy his scheme and make sure your shunt is connected EXACTLY as his, I believe that's the only correct way to connect it and it's much better that you look at his blue print than me trying to explain it ahahah Also heater: make sure the exhaust line is always going downwards, condensation will accumulate in the exhaust and it shouldn't go back in, so make sure that the exhaust goes downward (the entire tubing) so water can flow down. There is a guy on RUclips who did a whole series on these Chinese heaters, he is from Australia but I can't remember the channel name. Anyways, the exhaust is one of the main problems with these heaters (also with expensive ones like webasto).
Awesome video! Safe travels on your way to Florida. If you make it to the Jacksonville beach area, I know some sweet Boondocking spots near the beach! Cheers
I cannot tell you how much you inspire me, cannot wait to be FREEEEE x I know it’s not always simple but it a far less chaotic to how may life has been, my creative juices are going to be on point once I have the peace, nature and coffee of courSe x just know that you are truly helping people with your posts x
Wonderful video. Did you find out what was going on with the electric? Loved watching the dogs interacting. Omg 😂 my dogs like to eat poop too. Can't wait until your next video. You are so inspirational to me. TFS your week.
Thanks for continuing to share your days with us. Hope your heater keeps working. Your system seems to be sutting off before your batteries are at 20%. Thats the normal safety shut off right? Maybe a sensor is going bad on one of the batteries. Just a thought.
Hi Lennia, just want to say that I really enjoy watching your videos. It helps me to get through some gloomy days. So, thank you. Hope you & Akela are healthy and safe. 💚
on my mppt it is saying to me that I have a load but in the load section I had nothing. so not sure what is going on too either. so beautiful video with friendship and coffee and 2 awesome dogs.
Could the E-04 be related to the electrical issues? Like it doesn't think it's getting enough power? Just spitballin' and I'm not sure exactly how that's set up, but just a thought. Love seeing you and Akela enjoying your time with Sarah and Rain.
Great stuff - the dogs get along so well - beautiful- glad u got heater going I love how handy and self sufficient u r well done - love your videos. 💕💕🙏🙏❤️❤️
You are so dang resourceful and so dang smart I love your channel and that you have so much fun but I think it's mostly Akela is the reason I watch she reminds me of my dog from 95 to 2005 he was 13 best 10 years of my life 😊😉🐝
Aww I loved this. ❤️ I have questions lol 1. Can Sarah share her coconut curry recipe. (sorry if I spell any names wrong) 2. What breed(s) is rain. Absolutely adorable 🥰 3. If the opportunity ever arises I would love to see how you introduce Akela to other dogs. Like if you have a process or what not. Thanks again for sharing these videos.
In regards to your Electrical, because the solar panels are providing 12.6ish volts to the battery, your reader will read that as full charge, try turning off the solar input and then reading the battery levels. Fingers crossed you've just been sitting on 20ish% not getting full charges and thats the only issue. Good luck! hope this helped! if not no stress!
You should go to the victron website and download load the shunt install instructions and pay special attention to the dual battery install and you will see what you did wrong. You will also need to know the difference between what is the first battery and the second battery in your battery bank in order to connect the Aux and the VBatt + connections correctly. The way your connected now might result in false readings.
I just noticed you have the shunt with the A and B connections, I have the victron smart shunt. But you should contact victron because the A connection should go to the positive on the first battery in the battery bank and I'm pretty sure the B connection should go to the positive on the second battery but you would need to verify that with victron. Note this might change if you install a DC to DC charger, make sure you mention you are not using a DC to DC charger. Also connecting the A and B connections with a single battery both go to the positive on the single battery unless your using a DC to DC charger, with a charger the B connection goes to the positive on the vehicles starter battery.
Another thing worth mentioning is some people actually install the shunt backwards so make sure the ground cables are connected to the shunt in the right direction. On the victron website in the instructions for your shunt it only shows instructions for a single battery install so I wonder if it's made for a single battery use only. That's something to look into.
It's funny, in your first videos after the build. You just wanted to be alone in the secluded BLMs. Now, I do not recall the last video of you by yourself. It's amazing to see your growth from back then to now. Guess your more of a social butterfly then you previously thought? Keep up the great work🤘💯🤘
I still spend a lot of time alone! This has been quite the social season, but I am so blessed to have friends and family in my life that understand my need for alone time. I am no less introverted, and have always loved being social with enough balance! Thanks!
Hello all!! Peace love and harmony

There's something so liberating about drinking gas station coffee at 0 dark 30 while on the road.
What an amazing life u r giving Akela. I have a WGS Lunana. She’s bigger than most male GSD’s. She’s my everything. It makes me smile they way u talk to Akela. I get it! Ur a good mom.
That talking pup is so dang cute!!!❤

What a wonderful way to awaken with a cup of coffee, a friend, fur kid's and a gorgeous view ! Thank you for sharing this with me 💜🕊☕

The dogs were so much fun to watch! Loved that.
I've started my van build. Thanks to you and your videos, I'm confident I can do this myself.
Can't wait to get back on the road.
My Sunday is about to get a whole lot better. The "badass" has dropped a video!! Hell yea!
I love Sarah’s van! She seems really sweet, I’m glad you have genuine friends to meet up with. ♥️
I had so much fun with you and akela and feel so lucky to have that special memory commemorated with this gorgeous video ☺️
You have the best music in your vlogs.
Hi you two, I just want to say how lovely it is to watch you both! I had a white German Shepherd, Kashmir, who was the light of my life ❤️ Watching Akela is like watching Kashmir. Thank you and if you ever come to the Southeast, you are both welcome! All the best! ❤️

I so look forward to your videos. You are so calming
Greatful. You bring out emotions in me. I'm uncertain what my tears mean.

Thanks for picking up after people who don't care. Thanks for sharing all your experiences!
Absolutely :)
I've never commented on your videos before
but I just want to say how much I enjoy them.
Get yourself a cheap digital volt meter Linnea! It will take all the guessing out of your electrical issues. Great channel.
i just love your work. Beautiful imagery and pacing, thorough, . Always awesome music soundtracks…where do you get your music?
