Spot on! I have the Metanium DC and the MGXtreme. Love the Metanium and the MGXtreme feels like a $100 reel. The DC does awesome casting into the wind as it is always adjusting its brakes. Would be fun to do a distance test comparison into the wind as this can be a real world situation. Where was the Antares DC? Once again a great review. Thanks!
If I could have a day with steady wind going 1 way I would do a video like that, but wind is too unpredictable. And I wanted to just use reels available in the USDM

In fairness not the farthest casting reel but do you think it was ahead if its time? Seems all new diawa reels mimic this sol except twing feature. I broke out of my shimano shell after seeing your channel bought a revo premier and some lews.
you're handicapping your steez by not dialing in your spool. the zero adjuster is a gimmick; it's still a CC knob. i'd like to see your results once you tune it in as you would with your other reels with regard to spool tension, then run this battle again against the revo and antares since it already eliminated the DC. i guarantee you the steez will make the results much closer. i'm nowhere near the factory settings on mine and it casts like a dream...MUCH better than out of box stock settings.
This Metanium dc was released in Japan in 2015 ...So old model .The newest is Metanium mgl 20(2020), The second newest is Metanium mgl (2016 ) The third newest is Meanium dc which was in this video.

You judge a reel by it's casting distance. Take it out and fish. Catch fish. See how it compares one to another. Durability? Open them up. Drag system?
Did you open up your smartphone when you bought it? or your last car? Did you tear down the engine and transmission? Its a given that these reels will crank in fish. Opening up a reel as a review is stupid

Love my antares a and 2020 metanium but for the money I most impressed with the bantam absolutely my favorite reel

Is your steez tension set to minimum side to side movement as well ? I believe it can go few brake lower than 5 .
Zero Adjuster is set just like it was from the factory. The Steez can go very low with a casting plug but not this lure
