Ja's music never sounded nothing like dmx's. His style, wordplay and flow was nothing like dmx's. The only thing that was slightly similar was their voices. However, Ja's voice, as you said, was the same since '94, he's got that Vin Diesel voice and when you think about it and when you listen to the interviews, Vin's and Ja's voices are almost the same. People were trippin' and X was trippin', Ja never stole his style. I also remember Swizz playing into this shit when Metallica wanted Ja to do a verse on one of their songs complimenting Ja's voice and Swizz was like "yeah but he took that voice from DMX", lol.
