A MAGICAL Day in Ensenada Mexico

- Gene, Renee, and little Ginny have spent the last six months traveling south from Ensenada all the way down to Cabo San Lucas and back. Six months visiting towns in Baja California and Baja California Sur like Ensenada, Guerrero Negro, Loreto, La Paz, Todos Santos, El Pescadero, El Triunfo, Cabo San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo, Los Barriles, Miraflores, San Antonio, La Ventana, El Sargento, Ciudad Constitucion, Mulege, Santa Rosalia, and San Filipe. We visited grocery stores, hardware stores, restaurants, beaches, natural wonders, museums, took a boat tour of La Paz bay, historic old towns, a huge salt mining operation, plus some experiences that left us in awe and wonder.
Now we’re spending a few days in Ensenada enjoying the beauty, the food, and the magic of this wonderful city on the Pacific coast of Mexico’s Baja Peninsula. In this episode we visit La Cienega, an amazing fine dining restaurant, for a breakfast that is most definitely 5 star quality! Our gracious hosts Emilio and Zara give us a tour of the restaurant and the new Pineal restaurant /experience being built on the rooftop terrace. You’ll hear Zara share her story of what brought her from the USA to Mexico where she found love and a peaceful satisfying life. She answers the question of safety. We go downtown and show you much of the city (with a few surprises) and finish the day on a mountain overlooking the entire city and harbor. Ensenada has grown into a metropolis, and thanks to Guadalupe Valley. Geno and Renee, go to a restaurant called Manzanilla its owned by a top rated Mexican Chef Benito Molina, hes a judge in MasterChef Mexico and Latinos, amazing food!

That rooftop business sounded interesting. I wonder what it all looks like now and if it's doing good business. I also noticed a huge cruise ship out on the pier...or was that a yacht? Do cruise ships go to Ensenada? Anyway, what another great video! I'm ready for spring and summer. It's been too cold here in Texas.
