It took both Invincible and Omni-Man working together, with additional help, to beat him. And Omni-Man barely held on long enough to say his farewells to Mark before kicking the bucket, too. Thragg is a monster. Now, consider also that viltrumites have a powerful healing factor. Mark only managed to finish off Thragg by shoving him into a star. Mark himself only survived diving into a star due to borrowing Robot's suit - and he still looked like charred beef jerky from head to toe when he was fished out. And if Invincible hadn't resorted to baking Thragg alive with solar power, healing factors would've made it into an endurance fight, which Invincible was already losing. Battle Beast doesn't have a healing factor whatsoever, but he almost 1v1'd Thragg. Let that sink in. Wanna know why he lost? Because he wants a fair fight to die to - that's his entire character motivation; to fight and die with honor. @@jorgeanta2912 Yeah I know what happens in the comics. But unless I’m mistaken, Battle Beast isn’t even meant to be here in this scene. Why would they follow the comics? They’re boring to be honest. Amazon improves, not follows their source material. Realistically, Nolan’s our villain.
I feel that besides the thought Nolan perhaps knew that Battle beast was not to trifle with (this is unclear) he stood a lot to gain from the new gaurdians being killed. His son getting nearly killed in the process helps sustain his alibi further. It is not shown I the show but it seems likely to me that in the show he is the one who called them up thinking that this could be a neat way to wrap things up with another set of heroes who could potentially become a threat - still without attracting any unwanted attention to himself. It also seems likely to me that had mark died that day Nolan would simply move on, accepting that he was weak - as is customary in the Viltrumite tradition he was raised in.
Nolan would’ve actually got his shit ran if he tried to fight battle beast at the time, he wasn’t strong enough to do anything to him let alone kill him, battle beast would’ve ended the series in episode 6😂
I'm sure at this time, Nolan didn't even know who Battle Beast was, so he probably thought BB was just another petty supervillain, so even if he did intervene, he would've gotten his ass whooped
Battle beast is literally called “Scourge of the Twin Galaxies. People across the universe know him. Nolan is hundreds of years old and a very high ranking warrior. He definitely knew who he was
@@jboody7736 fools who don't read the source material yet strut around like they know everything just because they watched a show. I call them posers.
Also if Nolan confronted Battle Beast, it would’ve blown his cover on earth since Battle Beast knows and fought Viltrumites before. Battle Beast would’ve realized Earth is the next target to conquer and would’ve exposed Nolan just to agitate him to fight.
"Oh, this place is on the Viltrumite conquer list? That means if I kill you they'll come in force? Alright I'm gonna stomp you out rq and then set up shop on this planet while I wait for your whole species to pull up."
It would've been a challenge for Nolan, alright. Battle Beast specifically looks for Viltrumites to fight because they are the only ones strong enough to actually kill him. But even if Nolan would have an easy time fighting BB, why would he? He told his son exactly what he was getting into and he foolishly went with it regardless just to be betrayed. He's gotta learn his lessons and he can't be bailed out each time he makes a mistake. It's likely the same way Nolan got as strong as he did, so why spare him the fights he needs? Don't forget that the plan was for Mark to join him in conquering the Earth.
It would have been death for Nolan. Not a shred of exaggeration here. It wouldn't have been a long fight either unless BB deliberately mutilated himself to make it last longer, as he sometimes does.
Battle Beast in the comics was such a menace that literally nothing was able to kill the dude until Thragg literally had a deathmatch against him that lasted for like 2 weeks toward the end of the comics.
After saving Thragg from the Rognarr, _disemboweling_ and mutilating himself worse than Thragg was injured, and throwing away both of his tailor made to kill Viltrumite weapons so he could fight at an ever greater disadvantage hand to hand. And it wasn't just close, it was down to the wire. Thragg would have died if he didn't get _immediate_ supermedical intervention and later straight up says that it wouldn't have been a contest if BB hadn't given himself every single one of those disadvantages.
Guys remember, BB is technically stronger than Thragg. He purposely maimed and badly injured himself to make it a fair fight against Thragg.. think about that.
He not only injured himself worse than thragg was wounded, he threw away the goddamned purposefully built Viltrumite Murdering Cleavers he was swinging. He handicapped himself to a ludicrous degree and came within inches of killing Thragg anyway. Thragg was screaming MADMAN and LUNATIC at him in sheer disbelief. He couldn't get his head around what was happening.
There's more appearances of battle beast in the comics that will later make it clear that Nolan can't really do anything against battle beast. And he knew here battle beast wasn't really going for the kill. If he was they would all be dead.
I think he didn't fight him because he knows how powerful he is. I mean for Christ's sake, Battle Beast is the only being in the Invincible universe strong enough to go toe to toe with Thragg.
While in context, Nolan wanted to teach Mark a lesson. But if yiu read the comics, you know Nolan getting involved would have meant nothing. He merely would have gotten thrashed.
@@learninghelps3808 The dude literally bodied the whole team with his and left saying they were so weak the battle was beneath him, how is that not strong?
If the show is going with comic rules, Nolan probably wouldn’t have been able to win even if he intervened. And battle beast would not have spared Nolan out of pity like he did with the others.
People forget, machinehead just got a quantum computer chip upgrade, so him hiring BB was a strategic move to keep Omniman at bay. He was able to use algorithm to figure out all possible outcomes.

He was waiting for Spiderman to come and take his pictures
BB went blow-for-blow with Thragg, after intentionally handicapping himself, for 3 days. Omniman would be lucky to last 5 minutes.

Battle beast would've floored him, that's why
Battle Beast is on Thraggs level end of, and I'm sure Omniman was somewhat aware of who he was.
Battle Beast in the comics was such a menace that literally nothing was able to kill the dude until Thragg literally had a deathmatch against him that lasted for like 2 weeks toward the end of the comics.
Comicbook Battle Beast fought toe to toe with the strongest Viltrumite for several days, he eventually lost but it was a close match.
Right!
Thragg was already injured that's why bb also died to him
Thragg was also injured but you ignore.
Thragg was injured so there is no way of telling if BB was stronger cause he didn't fight a completely healthy thrqgg
Omni Man could've saved his son but he wanted him to learn a lesson about not listening to him.
Teach Mark a lesson, yes. Save Mark… idk about that
He could have not saved his son
Omni man would get absolutely demolished
He could have not saved his son even if Mark and Omni man were at full health both tag teaming him they would do nothing
