I live in La Paz, Bolivia and there’s a wing place that has “maracuyá” wings. I’m in love with these wings so I’m going to try to make them with the sauce. You definitely should try it!
Love the awkward pantry talk, just how I’d do a show🤣👌I love passion fruit purée ( on PANCAKES 🥞) so wanted to know how to make it, this looks delicious 😋
@@ryanandsu Thank you very much for your answer. I'll make it today. I just saw a curious video where they make marmelade to spread on bread and they even use the shell of the Passion Fruit 🤔, you that don't like to waste a thing should give it a try and let us know 🙂

I knew I couldn't be the only one who is crazy over passion fruit sauce. I never knew it's a thing. I had in my imaginations a "passion fruit sauce" which exactly looks like this. We have a huge passion fruit vine at our home. And we are under curfew thanks to dumb Corona - I am definitely going to try this. Probably pour over a butter cake my sister would bake 😚 thanks guys! P.s. you both are so lovely together. Stay safe
Whaaaattt?!?!?! You grow passion fruit at home!! I am so jealous. That is amazing. Definitely make the sauce. It goes amazing on almost anything. A couple of things that it goes great on: Cheesecake (sooo good), A bowl of mixed berries (Blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries - it can take not great store bought ones and make it amazing), and things like short bread or animal crackers... also pancakes. So many things. Stay safe and sane during this weird time. :)
@@ryanandsu I am from Sri Lanka, and I'm not sure whether it's our climate, but all I did was just throwing some seeds around and once the tiny short sprouted, I just tied some wires here and there for them to grab on to and "voila!!". There's always atleast 5, 6 fruits and it's beautiful. Try throwing some seeds around - I think they need moderate sunlight and water. That's all. Thank you for your tips! I'll definitely get back with how I put this yummy sauce in to use :) cheers.
Yum! I cant wait for mine to ripen this year. And I appreciate that you scrape all of the food out of the bowls, my mom and I always scream at the tv to PLEASE use a spatula. Ha.
Normally we post the full recipe on our website because it's easier to read. But this one is different because the amounts are so subjective. Su likes things more tart, so uses less sugar. The basic ingredients are passionfruit pulp (fresh or from the frozen section at certain stores), sugar, and corn starch to thicken it. Each ingredient will vary in quantity based on the tartness of the pulp, how thick you want it, etc. Start with adding a half of a cup of sugar to the pulp (we used about a cup of pulp) as it is heated over medium heat. Add more sugar if you want it sweeter. Always start with less sugar since you can add more if it's too tart. We usually also start with a tablespoon of corn starch. If it's too thin, add more. Also note that it will thicken some as it cools. Also, don't forget the pinch of salt that always helps bring out more flavor. Hope that helps.

Ohhh lovely recipe! We have a passion fruit vine in our garden and we normally make drinks... now I can make sauce!!! ❤
ty for the recipe
Does it have to be refrigerated? Would like to use this for passion fruit filled cupcakes
Yes, it does have to be refrigerated for long periods- if you make the cupcakes the day before they should probably go in the cooler

Good night. May I ask how many days will the sauce last? Thanks!!!.
It will keep for at least a week when refrigerated. But we rarely have it last more than a few days due to the fact that it's delicious. 😀
