    When I made this…I thought you meant 8 cups of juice lol It came out great just a little sweet.
    Will try again next month with less fruit juice.
    How long will the jam last if not stored in the refrigerator? Very good easy recipe.

    Hey Wathsala! I just saw ur channel pic! This is Madhavi from USL times. All the best. Why do u keep the jam bottle up side down once it is finished? N also the reason for storing the content in cupboard for 24hrs? Thought can store it in the fridge once it is cooled down. Very well explained n all the best lv.

    • @DailyLifelk
      @DailyLifelk  2 года назад +5

      Hi Madhavi.
      After a long time. Hope you are doing great.
      When we keep the jam bottle upside down the lid seals properly. Then we can keep the jam bottle for a longer time (More than 6 months) without opening the lid and storing it in the fridge. If the lid seals properly you can hear that “tuk” sound when opening the bottle. The reason for keeping it in a cupboard is, the jam is very hot, and it needs to cool down slowly. That’s why we cover it and keep in a cupboard. Thanks a lot for the comment. Stay safe.😍

      I’m having a problem. I need your help. How many Passion fruits did you use to make 800g. After I removed the pulp from the skin and put them into a glass that’s about 500ml. I filled 3 off them. After I’ve done that i looked at your video. So I’m kinda stuck. Any ideas for me

      @@johnnyjohnstone7684 I used 10 passion fruits. It depends on the size of the passion fruit you get

      Well i tried your way but i had 50ml more than 1 kg off juice. Allso my Passion fruit looks like a Geeses egg. Big long and purple color. My color came out brown and not orange like yours. I was a little bit disappointed. Allso i cooked my fruits skin 4 ours and not an half an our like you because i had mixed feelings about it. Including forgetting about the time wile it was bizzy cooking. I’ve definitely learned some things from you. Thanks 😀

    You could also use a sterilized funnel, so it won't get as sloppy, spoon in the jam in the jar.

    • @DailyLifelk

      I didn't put as soon as it is taken out of the stove. Let it cool down a bit and then pour into jars. But, don't wait until it fully cools down.

      This homemade Jan doesn't include any preservatives. Still it can be used more than a month when stored in a fridge. If you want to increase more shelf life you may add proper food preservatives
