- Surprised? Yep, I wasn't kidding when I said I was expanding out in a new direction! I've decided that I'm going to start reviewing episodes of shows that I just find interesting or want to talk about, alongside the Powerpuff reviews which will continue as planned.
I wasn't sure where I wanted to start considering the massive amount of cartoons out there, but I ultimately decided to settle on reviewing my favorite episode of Chowder! It's a cartoon I've mentioned loving in the past, and I think it was finally time for me to do a video on it.

This was the best episode. Everytime chowder interrupted the old bank clerk and forced him to restart his count with Shnitzel getting pissed... I couldn't stop laughing.

I’m surprised you didn’t touch on Chowder’s use of simple colored patterns for its backgrounds and characters when you talked about the bank interior! Easily the extremely unique style of animation/coloring this show uses is one of my favorite things about it. The bank’s green swirls makes one think of marble statues, something that visually tells me that the building is fancy, ie a typical bank interior. It uses visual techniques like these EVERYWHERE and it’s one of the best looking CN shows I’ve seen
chowder does not get the love it deserves. its hilarious and the animation is so different and I love it
Yeah. It was the best show I liked from the dark ages of Cartoon Network.
Chowder is very under appreciated, glad to see more content of it being made :)
As for other shows I’d like to see you talk about, maybe Adventure Time? I feel like it’s being largely ignored except by a few people despite the finale being only a few months away :(

Such an iconic episode, I didn't know it was the first! Such a shame this series had only 3 seasons. I feel like it came and went so quickly.

This episode really made me admire Chowder when it came out!
I really like how this felt like how an adult would bring an annoying kid to the bank but with some cartoon elements to it!

Chowder's fuckin great and hilarious and doesn't get talked about anywhere near as much as it should, so it's really cool seeing you give it some attention!
Since I'm here, would I recommend Dan Vs. as a high tiered under appreciated show? The show has memorable characters, entertaining plots though repetitive, a lot funny jokes, and even a few quotable lines. Due to having a poor schedule and heavy competition with MLP, it lasted 3 seasons. The animation is stiff, and the show is not imaginative as Chowder; but it has a unique charm and a lot of potential to become something great.
I agree with you there! Definitely going to do a Dan Vs. video sometime in the future.
Chowder is an awesome show and I'm sad I couldn't watch it often (at the time being more interested in going outside and also my mom couldn't stay and watch it because of Chowder's clothes and other patterns that seem to be moving)

I loved the review. I definitely wasn't expecting it. I haven't watched the actual episode, as I haven't watched all of Chowder. (I hate not watching CN growing up) As for a future review suggestion, I recommend an episode of KND. Maybe one of the "Operation: C.A.K.E.D." episodes?
Dude you should do a review of Shadow Raider (War Planets) it was a very good series that sadly was left in a cliffhanger. But man is that thing at the same level of Star Wars it is really a good show. I suggest you give it a view, you would not be disappointed

Dude I forgot all about chowder and how awesome it was! I remember me and my friend in school would talk about how funny we thought the show was, and then kind of get mad at flapjack for "replacing" chowder and it being a "poor imitation" when they werent really alike.
Saying I love Chowder is an understatement, the mix media, 4th wall breaking, humor and I am so glad to see a review on it we need more reviews on Chowder in the community.

This is one of my favorite episodes of the whole show. I remembered laughing so hard at this one, especially with the scene with the lollipops. A great review for a great episode.

I made the mistake of not looking at the video at the 2:55 mark. My mind went places. Bad places.
When I was a kid I hated this episode because I didn't like how it treated Snitzel on a day he was supposed to be in a great mood.
But now I find it hilariously relatable.
Adult jokes in kids TV shows has been a staple of the industry since its onset. They figure they might as well make it enjoyable considering parents are likely to watch it as well.
Wait, the owl guy from "The Wrong Customer" was blind?! That explains a few things, actually...

How do you know when you're an adult?
When you get to the point in your life where you *know* exactly what he is saying/yelling even though you can't understand the language, THAT is when you are an adult.
Oh yeah! I love this episode, too! However, my favorite episode of "Chowder" will forever be "Brain Grub". As you pointed out yourself, the show's tendency to break the fourth wall is one of its biggest highlights. With that said, the one from the episode I mentioned was simply PRICELESS! With his overamplified brain, Chowder realizes that his whole world of bizarre food items and whatnot is all just a silly cartoon, so he tries to turn the program into something "smarter", only to eventually screw up the ENTIRE universe! And according to Mung, he even made the viewers cry (though not me)! To anyone wanting to check out "Chowder" for the first time, "Brain Grub" is the episode I recommend starting with. Of course, you must check out "Shnitzel Makes a Deposit" as well.
Overall, I really like "Chowder", and I have for over five years. It's the best thing to come from C.H. Greenblatt besides his work on "SpongeBob" and "Billy & Mandy". Although, in terms of how overlooked it is as far as Cartoon Network originals go, I don't think it's anywhere NEAR being as underrated as stuff like "Sheep in the Big City" (another gold mine of fourth-wall breaks) or "Evil Con Carne" (which C.H. also worked on, with the episode "Gridlocked and Loaded" being especially great).

I’ll admit, chowder struck me as very “lol random” humor-wise when I saw the promos for the show. But when I actually watched the show, it was almost nothing like that. The humor, while not entirely out of the “childish” territory, was actually very funny.
Maybe it’s the way CN was marketing the show that made it underappreciated.

I first saw this show at the dentist, I was playing Pokemon Platinum and as I why in this show was playing while they were writing on me, It became something I associate write my childhood

Chowder’s weird but in a good way. The weirdness is hilarious, excellent gags, and laughable 4th wall breaks.

I haven’t really watched this show that much. I think the only time I did watch it was when my cousin was watching it while we were at my grandparents house and I just happened to be in the room with him and I ended up getting absorbed into it. That’s actually how I started watching a few cartoons. A few though. Overtime I just checked out other cartoons on my own. But back on Chowder I did get absorbed into the story but I didn’t love it too much. That was when I was like 9 though. I also saw the car wash clip in a compilation of fourth wall breaks in cartoons. I love fourth wall breaks but my sense of humor is pretty small. I like watching compilation videos of stuff like that but when I’m watching an actual episode (of anything really) it kinda gets annoying to me because I feel like it gets in the way of the story. Like when I was watching the part with the “would you? Would I??” joke I was like “oh my dog stop it!” Towards the end. But again I don’t really see certain kinds of humor especially when there’s too much of it. Nevertheless did you check out Miraculous Ladybug??? Sorry if this is getting a little annoying but I’m telling you that you WILL love it!! Anyway can’t wait to see what’s next Shadow! 💙💙💙💙💙💙
Chowder is one of my favorite cartoons of all time. And this episode is probably one of my favorites from this show.

This is one of my favorite episodes on this show. Good news is it's on HBO Max streaming right now so if you guys like cartoon network classics then you should get HBO Max streaming service.

A lot of Season 2/3 of Chowder were bad for me. But the good episodes of 2, and all of season 1, Chowder is incredibly fun and creative. A must watch.
Heck. Season 3's The Birthday Suits (co-written by Craig McCracken) is one of the few later Chowder episodes that felt a lot closer to the feel of season 1. Another favorite of mine. One of the few from season 3.
