Coincidentally today I just learned that rainbows are often shaped as full circles and it's just that typically most people don't have the perspective to see the entire circle. There are a lot of videos on the net about rainbows that are totally circular.
Goku is always simple, innocent, cheerful and carefree, but Kakarot is serious during battle. That's all. This is how Toriyama conceived this character

The thing that also makes goku look smarter and more serious in dbz is his voice. The voice actor is the same but in super he pitches his voice a bit higher like hes talking to a child. I really like how sean did his voice acting here
It's not his voice its the way how super Goku talks, Goku was never that smart but he wasn't a complete idiot he was about average he just didn't pick up on social cues because he didn't have a real family other than his grandpa, and didn't come off as an impatient manchild either he straight up reminds me of SpongeBob in super sometimes especially when he wouldn't stop bothering whis to train him and got Zeno to throw the tournament that could have possibly wiped everybody out just because he couldn't keep his mouth shut.
This is my favorite dragon ball movie of all time. The art style, the contrast, the animation, the bad guy, the birth of gogeta! Everything was perfect! 👌

Peak animation, peak battle damagepeak plot you can feel the desperation, peak goku intellect, peak vegeta character development at the end of the movie. Good times man good times.
Vegetas pride really gets in the way of his objectives. He always says no to the fusions and it takes goku to always pursuade him to become a part of a stronger enemy. Goku has his pride too but he doesn't let it be his life,which is why he got upset that he couldn't obtain super saiyan god without his friends,but still enjoyed it and the fight.
God, I remember watching this and speculating about timelines and how the movie would fit in the series. 10/10 RIP Akira Toriyama for providing the childhood we needed.
Such a shame we didnt get more of this Gogeta, it would have been awesome if they had an entire fight sequence between him and Janemba instead of Gogeta just destroying bro in 10 seconds which of course makes sense when you consider the plot but it still would have been cool to see more of this Gogeta in action! HOWEVER I'm still very happy that Gogeta is canon to DB again not to mention FAR more powerful than before!

Miss this DBZ animation, it hasn’t been good since Wrath of The Dragon, after that it’s been downhill from there. But I do have to admit The Tournament Of Power was pretty solid too
As the story moved on even in the “non canon”, I get a better appreciation for old Geets. Maybe reading into it, but it looks like the Prince of all Saiyans will swallow a bit of his own pride for his family. Not sure if so with Jenemba, but the thought seems to hold weight when we see our boy doing the unthinkable.

The plot was pretty basic as with all dragonball movies but the characterizations and character interactions were god tier in this movie.
