This is such a important day for Scotland it should actually be made a public holiday, I’m absolutely delighted this evil is gone, he made the most racist speech I’ve heard in my lifetime, and his hate speech law is basically the start of sharia law.

If this actually ends up with him gone from politics for good or at least never holding any office of power than great... But as long as the next phase will be a result of SNP+Green agreement of any kind it hardly can be any good. Remember it was not the things you criticize Humza for that made him resign... and people who installed him are still in charge.

      The nightmare isn't over unfortunately.
The hideous ideology that Humza subscribes to remains lurking like a cancer in every cell of our society: Government, The Police, Armed Forces, Schools, Universites, Journalism etc.
It is also present in nearly every political party: The SNP, Labour, The Greens, Lib Dems and even many so called conservatives.
A battle won, but the war rages on.

Glad it was noted here that the Scottish Greens have said many times that they would not work with Kate Forbes when she was up for the position over a year ago that Humza got.
The Greens and Sturgeon did not want Forbes because she is openly Christian, believing it would conflict with their only concern, gender identity and young children.
The level of hate against Forbes simply for been a Christian is outrageous.
The irony in all of this is that Humza sacking the Greens was the only decent thing he has done in over a year. Funny thing is though, he sacked them 2 days after Green Leader Patrick Harvey refused to accept the findings of the Cass Review, despite admitting he had never read it. He went on to say that the activists in social media were upset and critical of the report, taking that as more valid than the contents of the Cass Review itself.
So could it be that the sensible politicians in the SNP wondered where the hell the Greens were getting their stats from that was informing also their Green advocacy.
How could anyone now believe a word the Scottish Greens say about anything.
I for one am so glad that these hypocrite activists are out of government.
Incidentally, their prejudice against Christians needs addressing immediately.

Let's hope the next FM doesn't view his/her position as enabling such perks.

Only Kate Forbes can save SNP. Or Scots Voter's will stay home & not vote as other choices are not great.

It seems clear that the SNP is now a spent force, not just for internal reasons of which there are many, but because they are ideologically and temperamentally boxed in and unable to go into coalition or cooperation agreements with other parties. Alba will benefit, perhaps even inherit from this impending collapse, but it may not reach the dizzy heights of dominating Hollyrood or control of Bute House for a long, long time, if ever.

Realistically, imagining the SNP as a permanently spent force is a fever dream.
The demographics on Scottish independence have been going one way and one way only for the past 50 years.
And it's particularly popular among teens and 18-35s. The only way the SNP are going down the pan, is if another pro-independence party manages to displace them. Possible, but unlikely...

@@michaelgove9349 Do you recall the referendum results? And the arguments around what "once in a generation" actually meant? I was reasonably impressed by the arguments around Brexit and the constitutional arrangements. But the SNP was not cutting it due to its own corruption and incompetence. Hence minority government, in be with the Greens and full scale embrace of "the woke agenda". You well know what I mean. It is an insult and disservice to John Knox and the Scottish Enlightenment.

Hasn’t resigned.Does not have the decency. The people of Scotland have got to suffer till they vote in another independent individual and then they will bring the greens back on board.Nothing has changed or will change as the Greens are going to vote against the no confidence in government vote.
