I think every trucker knows that feeling 😅 trucking 9 years and some days I'm struggling so if they ask how long you been driving my response just started 😂
@@md-er2wz 6 months is still fresh. I take all the help i can get too 🤣 I remember i was stuck trying to back for hours (it was late night and i had to drop an empty to pick up a loaded. May GOD Bless You Brother. As a newbie myself with no training on backing up other than RUclips and trial and error it’s Awesome to see someone taking the time to help and eventually seeing that taking over would help the driver in need and the situation at hand. God has blessed me along my travels with people just like You. All Glory be to GOD
I'm glad you were there to help him! I received help along my journey and was truly grateful to those who helped me instead of watching me struggle. Meant a lot to me.
This tip helped me 45 years ago. I Put your hand at the bottom of the steering wheel. If you want your trailer to go left, move you hand to the left. If you want to go right, move your hand to the right. Once the wheel is turning in front of your eyes, use both hands to turn the wheel if needed. This helped me to turn the wheel the correct direction and my backing up got much better.
Thanks John for backing it in for him ,I have had to do the same thing for a driver, and I had a young drive ask me to back in his W9 in. Just help them out when you see another truck driver, struggling to back his truck in a dock.
It's a good thing to see this driver's unselfishness. I'm even more pleased and grateful for him and the nervous driver because he came from the neighboring warehouse to assist him. Wonderful, no expectations.
Nice to see drivers helping other drivers. I haven't had anyone help me since i started 9 years ago but i do help drivers out if i see someone struggling. I've also listened to a few sometimes all you need is someone to listen i still remember the guy who was in sc and his kid passed away and his computer refused to get him home . I told him you do what you need to do to get home . Family first
Just happened upon this video and I’ve been driving for a year and I’ve had LOTS of help period. And sometimes I can back in like I have 25 years and others like I have 25 days in. Well a lot of drivers have helped me a lot of times and some didn’t. It’s appreciated. New subscriber
Man, Thanks for doing that. Some drivers just enjoy seeing people struggle and it makes no sense and will stand around a talk about the person and then you see somebody get knocked out then they end up needing help.
This was a good watch. The climax wasnt the cars piling up but when you got into the cab and couldnt find the reverse. Then backed it up one try. Awesome!
That’s being a TRUE professional driver. Even the best of us need a little assistance sometimes. It’s not just good manners, but real professional courtesy. This job has enough problems with cars cutting us off and drivers getting blamed for broker screw ups. If you see a driver having trouble backing, get off your rear and give him/her some assistance. You’d be surprised at how good karma comes back around when you need it.
Great job Driver 💪 I was in a TA watching a Driver for 45 minutes trying to park i offered to help he didn’t want to hear it. 10 minutes later he Drove away because everyone was so backed up. I backed into the same Spot in less than a Minute 🤷♂️
Almost Anyone can drive a semi down the interstate safely, this right here is the real challenge in trucking, and you'll be thrown curve balls constantly, its not an easy job psychologically
Thanks, for helping this driver out. Safe travels. 1st problem was the flip flops, 2nd problem was lack of experience. The experience he will get with time hopefully sooner than later but we all learn at different paces and that's alright as long as you don't panic. He was very lucky here to have some help especially someone to offer to back it for him. Sometimes you can get so frustrated that you can't even see properly anymore, it's like staring at a blank screen. Now the 1st problem, that's on him to grow as a man and I'm sure where he makes pick ups and deliveries there's signs that say "Proper footwear!". In his defense maybe he only wears them while driving. Didn't really have time here to change footwear. LOL.
I love how the driver did not have a ego and when u ask to back it in he let u that was real man helping out another driver that's how trucking should be.
That's why, on my downtime, I just practiced at truck stops backing all kinds of ways, blindside, driver side, tandems pulled all the way back (19 years ago).
🤣🤣🤣 I swear that was me and my dad the 1st time we got in an automatic! We were at a dealer checking out some trucks and the salesman was showingus an automatic. "Where's the gears?! How the hell do you make this thing go!" 🤣🤣🤣 We laughed for a long time. Even the salesman laughed at us 😅
Both myself and my wife have had to do this exact thing multiple times, but we always have them in the jump seat and talk through what we are doing and why, the problem too often though is language barriers in assisting.

Decent of you to help this guy. You can't always blame these drivers. You have to look at the mega carriers with their own company sponsored driving schools providing minimal training just for the purpose of getting a warm body behind the wheel.

Many years ago (1993 - at least no automatics then ! 🤣) I was new to driving and having difficulty getting backed inside a steel mill. Another driver saw me struggling to get lined up and gave me some advice on what to do, which in my situation was use more of the space available in front of door to line up straight, then back in, rather than try to turn and line up while reversing. Although I haven't driven over the road in years, I still remember that encounter.

There’s a fine line between helping a guy out and being involved in someone’s problem is to slightly different situations and I will help someone out if I can offer help that does not get me involved in someone else’s problem I think most truck drivers would agree with that because of the technical way everything works with safety

Thank you for helping him because a lot of drivers would rather record and pick than help.
We all need help at some point
United we stand divided we fall. Whenever I've helped anyone all I ask is they just pay it forward by helping someone else.
They wouldn't be picking. They'd just be angry and possibly impatient, and that's perfectly normal in these kinds of situations. I would be too
yea. good man. helping out. he need to be rewarded
@Fairwollowhave to learn patience man, whenever try to rush is when bad stuff happens. Learned that a long time ago
I've watched so many drivers film other drivers struggle, seeking negativity instead of positivity, we need more of these guys.
