      @@atomicpineapple8588 Nice!! Tesla Model 3s are awesome and a totally achievable goal. Once you save a bag, consider financing the vehicle for a low-interest rate. It’s almost free money and it can make financial sense if you have enough saved.
      DoorDash is a great hustle! Try to multi- app, it’s when you have two apps open at the same time, let’s say UberEats and DoorDash, or Grubhub/Bite Squad/Go Puff etc, then you can be extremely selective on which jobs you choose to accept. Which will allow you to make more money. Of course, if you’re in the middle of a delivery, only accept jobs from the other app when you’re at least 5 minutes away from finishing your current delivery.

      Thanks for watching! Those are great hustles that you mentioned! Amazon Merch and Etsy are epic because if you are doing print on demand, you’ve essentially built yourself a stream of passive income because you don’t have to deal with inventory. The hardest part is making the designs, but you can use canvas or hire a designer from Fiverr. Turo is great too! The hard part would be getting a car specifically for renting, and finding a place to park the car when it’s not being rented. I plan on doing Turo when the Cybertruck eventually launches!

    Can you please do a video on start ups for kids? And maybe teens in another. We're having a hard time finding info like ideas, financial (does a 10yo need a LLC?) information, and potential to be sustainable into adult age.
    Not too much money for start up, not to much time (school ya know), not too complicated, able to be run with minimal help from adults.
    Hopefully not too much to ask 😁

    • @full_hustle
      @full_hustle Год назад +1

      Hi Sadie, not a lawyer here, just ramblings of a person that has done alot of this... a 10yo can rarely start their "own" business as a state would require adults to form a business. But people under age can find alot of ways to make income. You only need to "form a business" when a license is required, ie a license to do business in a city or municipality, or when you plan to setup a bank acct in a business name. But selling online or door to door rarely falls too deeply into that category, and if it does, then mom or dad can establish the "business" and let the younger ones run things (with supervision of course). Then at the legal age of maturity it can be transferred to them. Cutting grass, cleaning gutters, raking leaves, pressure washing, running errands, gardening, washing windows or cars or boats etc. While you may need to make sure the age matches the legal requirements to run certain equipment (and usually parents can allow for that), there are plenty of things they can do to begin their life of independence. Best of luck on your journey and kudos to you for going after it as a parent 💥❤

I upcycle, fix, and flip vintage clothing. I will say to anyone who is interested in trying out flipping items: it is A LOT of hard work that requires materials (at a cost). Many people do not recognize the amount of work involved and want to pay hardly anything becuase " it's so old" or "it's used, why would you charge so much." They don't recognize quality and think new is always better. Basically just take that into consideration before you try flipping items as a side hustle.

      @ChrisDAndrealifestyledesign  2 года назад +7

      Good point. You’re correct, every side hustle requires paying taxes. But with house flipping specifically, many advice that buying-and-holding for at least a year is better than flipping a home within a short time span so you can take advantage of lower taxation. Also instead of flipping homes, another strategy is the BRRRR method just hold your real estate investments and do a cash-out-refinance. Overall the time required and the returns that you get from a traditional house flip often end up being a lot less than people think.

Or, not running your air conditioner, or not buying coffee would be a side hustle. The definition of a side hustle is "a *job* that brings in extra money *on top of* your regular income". The "side" part is important. Therefore, by definition, they would all bring in income, and be taxed.

      Good question! This one ☝️

    • @ChrisDAndrealifestyledesign
      @ChrisDAndrealifestyledesign  2 года назад +10

      Yes! Let’s look at a few examples. For the gig side hustles where you “trade time for money” like Ubereats, Rover, and TaskRabbit- you can easily earn $30,000 - $60,000 annually before taxes. And for other side-hustles that are more scalable like writing on Medium, Shopify, NFTs, vending machines, blogging, and RUclips, it’s possible to grow those businesses to higher income levels than a regular job could ever provide. Potentially 6 to 7 figures. The general advice is to not quit your day job until your side hustle income is bringing in a consistent amount of livable income after your expenses. Always save and invest. And make sure to have an emergency fund for at least 6 months of expenses. Good luck with the grind 🙌

    Great video!! Now I have more knowledge about finance. I spent 20 years in the military and unfortunately did not save in a TSP. I am fortunate enough to be retired at age 42 with a profit from my investments and pension. I wouldn't have been able to live my current lifestyle without couple of investment. After taxes I am left with about 25,000 bucks a month, I am debt free and just now starting to invest in real estate. I don't plan on working for someone else ever again. I just live a modest life and now invest heavily in the market with the help of an IA. I do get a 2-3% raise every year for inflation and this income is for the rest of my life. Thanks for watching! 🙌 I agree that the school system should be teaching financial education. At least teach enough about income, taxes, careers, skills, etc to spark an interest in kids. Instead school focuses on how to be an employee and retire late in life. I believed that early retirement is possible for everyone. From the books that I’ve read and the millionaires that I’ve talked to, the road to success comes down to hustling, saving, and investing. Especially investing into income-producing assets and/or businesses. I’m hoping to achieve lean FIRE within 10 years.

      Schools teach you to learn/ think for yourself/ make a choice asap… I personally don’t think it’s the best method of educating minds in todays time. In the past, it worked well because there wasn’t social media and better technology that has opened more recreational/ unique professions that didn’t exist 20 years ago… also school does teach you how to do all the stuff that’s mentioned here. They’re called technical institute/ Trade schools
      There the general education --> grade school, high school …
      Higher education -> college (you can branch off anywhere)
      Then there’s Trade schools and technical institutions that train you for specific professions… I would say some are better than if you were to go to college unless you’re doing a business major… for many business majors, the goal is to make large sums of money to invest etc..
      For STEM majors, the goal is to provide for the family and maybe invest here and then…. Unless you’re trying to start your own business, aim as high as possible and so on. Personally for me, I’d be extremely happy making 80k after taxes or 100k at most… in the words of a famous rapper:
      “Mo money, mo problems”
      my dad does business… he earns a lot but I can tell he’s not happy due to stress of the job, relatives asking for money and never paying back and being rude about it and so on
      Honestly, sometimes you’re better off just living on 50k after taxes with your spouse also making 50k after the cut… this way, hardly anyone will ask you for money, you won’t ever forget how hard life can be from a financial standpoint and so on.
      Tho to be fair, even if you enjoy your life and have a great family and relatives, chances are that someone in your job will make your life a living hell lol

    Can you go into the catches on these? Specifically the sweat points thing... why would an app pay you for walking? I would need to know before even visiting the website because it screams red flag to me that I would be paid for just walking. What's the purpose behind this? Just a thought. Good video otherwise ..... albeit a bit vague.

    • @ChrisDAndrealifestyledesign
      @ChrisDAndrealifestyledesign  Год назад

      Hi! Thanks for asking that’s a great question! Sweatcoin is an app I’ve been using for over 4 years. The “catch” is that it’s not very lucrative. There’s no conversion of your steps into actual money, (I wish there was) instead they give you their digital currency (sweatcoins) that can be used in their marketplace for real products. This is a big downside for me, as I like side hustles that actually cash flow and are lucrative.
      But with that said, I use this app every single day. I love keeping track of my steps and feeling compensated for what I’m already doing, walking. I am personally saving up my sweatcoins for a big redemption one day, but I’ve seen many good offers in their marketplace over the years (gift cards, socks, etc)
      There’s other apps with a similar concept! The main competition is called Evidation (previously known as Achievement app). I’ve yet to try it but I’ve seen many reviews that people have received real gift cards from that platform. It seems more lucrative than Sweatcoin
      Additionally, another big downside to these apps is their data collection. Why do they “pay” us for steps if it’s not lucrative for them? They are likely selling our data to big tech. That’s why I haven’t tried Evidation because I’d rather limit my exposure to data collecting.
      I hope this answers your question!
