Great and very well informing video! Speaks a lot. Whatever we think about swatch speedmaster it turned out it was smart move for Swatch and didn’t hurt the Omega!
Other than that I am surprise there is no word of Brequet; meaning they didn’t done anything significant in that respect although they are great brand with amazing time pieces

I’m thinking about pulling the trigger on a three watch collection:
    1. tank must
    2. mint datejust on the jubilee
    3. speedmaster professional
Any opinions? I know it’s very mainstream, but it’s what I love, and I’m very picky.
I’m pretty new to watches and I’m a bit of a minimalist, I don’t buy many “things”. I feel like these would probably stick with me for at least a decade, might buy and sell in the future, but I don’t intend to have a dozen watches at any point.

Teddy, I think you make very nice videos and are relatable to people of our generation (millenials).
On that note, would you consider renaming the channel Teddy Bulbasaur (at least, that's how I call you).

Considering (not just Swiss) only wear thin dress watches with panels as clean as possible and a maximum of 39mm in diameter, my personal list in alphabetical order is:
    A.Lange & Söhne
    Audemars Piguet
    Breguet
    Cartier
    Chopard
    Jaeger-LeCoultre
    Patek Philippe
    Vacheron Constantin
With the very difficult task of having just one model of each.
    Greetings from Brazil.

Great content Teddy. I would like to see numbers on how many actual watches are produced. The domination of Rolex is fascinating to me. Amazing how a luxury brand is also the best selling brand in the world! 🤑
Watches are a want, not a need. Rolex gives us a great lesson in brand positioning. Though I'm more of an Omega fan.
I've personally fallen in love with the Citizen watch brand. Love their appearance, quality, affordability, and functionality. Not necessarily in that order. 🤪

Weird that Tudor is lobbed in with Rolex on the first place (albeit for a small percentage) while still being in the top-20 by itself.
Other than that, it's always cool to see these stats.

WELL ITS NICE OT KNOW THEY INCLUDE 2 DAY SHIPPING ON THE JACOB & CO ASTRONOMIA SOLAR ZODIAC... I MEAN ITS ONLY $348,000. Seriously, thats more than I paid for my house in Hawaii back in 2000. I wonder if the 2 day free shipping includes closing costs such as escrow fees & title insurance?

my first rolex was 400$ in the 1980s. Now its 15k. OUTRAGEOUS. And I spent another 15k getting it serviced over the years.---parts, service, I always took it to a rolex authorized dealer. I wont do it again.

Every “expert” says you can’t get Rolex unless you’re a longtime customer on a lengthy wait list. How can they be top of the list. Sounds like if a luxury, high end soda that cost $1000 a can would out rank Coke or Pepsi? Richard Mille Cola anyone?

The resale value of watches reflects hidden information about true demand, as certain watch brands may have misread true demand due to bulk buying for the sake of acquiring Rolex watches. Brands resulting from forced purchases have caused the resale value of those brands to decline, ultimately damaging the perceived brand among watch enthusiasts. Making it worst, the brand manager of those watches may believe they've hit the sweet spot based on sales, when in reality, it's a result of forced "bulk buying."
