I worked in the yacht building trade, we used a lot of big wood but never anything that short, it was always at least twice as long.
I love mahogany! I made things from it as a student in high school, and at a furniture factory in Batesville Indiana USA, our dining room furniture is all Mahogany from the 1930's Romweber's factory in the same town. Good work guys.

I lost track of the safety violations in this video. The sawmill radiator is plugged with sawdust, might be the reason it is overheating, you think? Love the dusty rag as an air filter. Zero days without an injury on this jobsite.

Most likely an Indonesia red bean mahogany, tree would be a paddock tree around 50yrs old (grow to fast to be off use, unless they leave it for at least another 60years), reason it's so dull in colour. slow growing trees are extremely vibrant in colour, denser, harder and more durable.
Something tells me they don't worry about Osha or workman's Comp premiums...!

How can you cut down such beautiful and healthy trees? This is a crime against nature. All those involved in illegal deforestation should go to prison. Also the end customer when he buys furniture etc. where there is no correct FairPlay stamp. What do you do when you have cut down all the trees on your island countries?
