Nah, the show was completely dead as soon as spaz left. Ill never forget how annoying diane was when she started doing stand up comedy as a shitty old lady character lol, i hate her.
I followed L.B.s whole career. He was one of the Bruins greatest fighters ever. He has had many memorable fights during the NHLs most physical era. For a couple of years Byers and Jay Miller ruled the ice.
From the news I heard today WAAF is no more. When you think about it it really isn't a surprise, tho it is very sad. But please tell me, it can't be true! Did they really sell out the rock of Boston for a Christian station, a damn Christian station. That's as messed up is it gets.
So many memories growing up listening to the Hillman Morning Show. I’ve been listening since 1993 all through my high school years till I graduated in 97. Then after that while working my first job. The days of Real Rock TV on late nights. Before satellite radio took over. WAAF carried me through some of glory days of my younger years. The days of the walk and rock for change. The day Kevin Barbare was let go and Chris Engle left is when it started all coming to an end. The good ole days when The Late Rocko was on at night, and The Ozone ( John Osterland ) It’s been a great ride AAF. All good things come to an end
Yup. Waaf in the mid to late 90’s was the best. After that downhill. Opie and Anthony returned to boston on wbcn in 2001 and dominated the boston ratings.
I miss the Hill Man Morning Show. It was like waking up and going to work in the company of four of your best pals. I hate to say it, but the WEEI show just isn't the same. But, somebody thought that was a better idea apparently. LB YOU'RE THE BERRIES KID
I agree wholeheartedly. New hill show sucks, too much sports - could give a shit less about that.... used to tune it out at WAAF, but that was only 4-5 minutes out of every hour. I feel bad that I didn't even stay tuned in long enough to hear that LB quit.... Podcasts gain another soul, and live radio has tuned out. Least the shit running at night is somewhat entertaining.
Just watched the Bar Rescue episode "Hogtied Ham's", from 2011. LB left the show prematurely as well. I wonder if he's dealing with CTE or other post concussion symptoms. I hope he's doing well now that he's out of the entertainment business. Sad to so many see athletes (enforcers especially) have to deal with mental health issues later in life. Take it easy LB; enjoy life and family.
I know I miss LB, morning radio is not the same without him, I can't even listen to Hill Man's new show, just not the same energy... Does anyone know if LB is doing OK? Does anyone know how to reach him?
I’ve never heard this before. I only found out about this cuz the Boston sports ratings came out and I remembered about LB. Guess nobody’s heard of him since this. Hope he’s ok. We love you LB and everyone else at old AAF.
I’m a bit late to this party I hated Greg’s move and the EEI sports thing sucks It’s a total snooze fest All the fun rock history BETWEEN BCN and AAF , now gone No more morning shoed that capture the rebellious nature of Boston and the whole way we fit into the history of rock Now it’s just a bland endless field of corporate shit. No personality , these kinds of shows used to connect is all Make you feel like we were part of something bigger This show and BCN got me through good and bad times Wish there was at least an online version Miss you guys and gals
So sad to say goodbye to LB. But the Mike the Canman will return to WAAF, & Along with my female radio talk show to be announced on a later date, Beginning in 2020.

I think Greg also knew aaf was done that's why he switched.i mean what do ya do when you have that much time vested.things will never be similar or the same. waaf and CD's, good concerts at the centrum are all gone but we have something better on demand everything and social media.lol rip good ole days
Tomorrow night at midnight 2/21/20 will be the final sign off for WAAF.... It's going to be a sad moment for sure... Don't forget to tune in folks... :(
I love LB and miss WAAF and the Hillman show, but I bet Hsu was PISSED. What a shitty way to quit. After 20+ years working together, that’s how you treat your colleague? Just walk out mid-show? What a disrespectful thing to do. If I was Hsu I’d never talk to him again.
He left because lb was bent over by hillman when he went to eei he took Danielle who knows nothing about sports as much as lb only knows about squirrels

The Christian format would be far more entertaining than the snooze fest that was WAAF. Commercial radio at its worst. They never gave new music a shot, and they got what they deserve.
