    another thing about tyler's attack at 10:37 .. the way there's 0 daylight between his pedal and the ground as he comes around the outside is nuts. really pushing it for that win and you have to applaud it

    Ryan ALSO won his Oakland field in 2021 in the M123 35+ field on a mid-race solo effort. He came by me like a freight train at the same place as Tyler in this race. Ryan's win was an early indication that he was going to be a boss in the P12s. Ryan's move was obviously the right move, but it was almost impossible to follow. Another great race breakdown and I love your recognition of the teamwork counterattack. There is no better feeling of seeing an immediate counterattack from a teammate.

    Nice commentary. When Ryan passed Quinn on the last lap at 13:30 it looked like Quinn gave an elbow flick to Ryan.... did he not know it was the last lap (I've done that mistake before!) and gave him 3rd place?.. looks like he even gave Ryan a glance to say "I can't do it!"? All good stuff - thanks!

    • @quinnfelton2076

      That was purposeful, I knew I didn't have the legs to close Mile's down or hold off Ryan so I didn't want him to be stuck on my wheel thinking I was going to close the gap.
      The downside of not having teammates is that I had to expend a lot more energy throughout the race to cover moves and I don't have much of a sprint to begin with.

    Hey would you consider making a video about how illness impacts cycling performance/ftp and the path to recovery? Of course no size fits all, but I came back from a bad cold with a 20% ftp reduction and can't hang without gassing out way quicker. I'd love to hear your experience (and others) and some sort of strategy to get back.

    • @CyclingChefDiane
      @CyclingChefDiane Год назад +1

      He has a video like this. 'Get fit in 60 days' when he recovered from his shoulder injury. However illness is of course different. Your immune system has been in overdrive. Just go easy on yourself. build the base again. start with a light load. better to ease-in than over-do. Be consistent & recover well. :)

    • @Masterrex

      @Diane I'd love to see power curves for a given segment before and after illness, followed by the trail to normal. Really curious if it's just a slow drag or if folks tend to spring back.
