Its so hard to say goodbye to this ride. This was my 5th coaster EVER. I have so many memories, and so do my parents, and almost everyone in my family, seeing how this has been a classic in the park in 2004, its so hard to say bye. Rest in peace Sand Serpent.
tip: go on with someone your size. the seats have 1 seat belt for each 2 people. i sat on with someone twice my size and felt like i was about to come out of the seat.
Thats why they have the big handbars they can add additionally for that reason. My tiny little brother sits next to my bigger brother who is like...three times his size and he's perfectly fine...or at least used to. I'm gonna miss this ride.. today is the last day😢
Yes, feels like you’re going to fall off the edge on every sharp jerky turn. I took my timid wife on it because no loops, but regretted it afterwards because we thought we were gonna die. Give me Tigris, Sheikra, Kumba, and Montu any day!
My brother forced me on this ride when I was 7 years old. I was deathly afraid of literally any ride, but for some reason, I loved it? Even though I hated every other ride I’ve ever ridden, I loved this one. I rode it multiple times. Looking back on it now, this is a solid wild mouse, obvi not my favorite anymore, but it’s still one to remember. I’m so sad it is gone. My 3rd coaster.
It was known as wild izzy and wild maus when it was in Virginia and it was originally called cheetah chase but changed to sand serpent because of the launch coaster cheetah hunt
Busch Gardens has Iron Gwazi, Cheetah Chase, Cobra’s Curse, Kumba, Montu, Tigris and Sheikra and this. Seriously, how does this park not get Kings Island level hype about its coasters?
how fun is this ride? from 1 to 5, 5 being super fun. i am scared intense rollercoaster like Montu but at the same time i want moderate/high thrill like cheetah hunt or at least like cobra cruise

I just overcame my fear of coasters. Went upside down twice yesterday after a big drop for the first time. It's not as bad as it seems :) You feel it the least in the front car...the back car you feel it the most.
The only ride I tried at busch gardens the last time i went and it bulged or herniated a disc in my upper back and since then ive had shoulder blade numbness and wrist pain :(

To be fair it’s not quite generic. The second “big” drop on this one is not followed by a little hill and second drop. So it’s a bit different. Only one like it I think is the one at California Adventure.
Seems wasteful to demolish a traveling fair coaster. Even as rough as it was somebody would have payed bush hardens for it and dismantled it. How does it make financial sence to demolish it at your own expense.
I don’t like this coaster cause when I went on it last time it jolted to a stop at the end and I hit my ribs on the lap bar and I guess I just bruised them
I can go on any coaster in that park but this was the worst! It was so sketchy, like you were about to go off the edges. Especially, if you ride it in the dark. I was horrified! Give me Falcon's fury and Montu all day over this one!
