I think I have learned more real jazz technic from these lessons than i did getting my bachelors degree in Jazz Piano Performance (at a meh school in the 1980’s)! I don’t know what those 9 thumbs down 👎🏻 came from, but I think you are a wonderful pedagogue!

Been looking for someone to dig into concepts like this for piano for awhile. I was instinctively trying to do sequences with the thumb at the bottom of each 3-4 note cluster but tbh I was desiring confirmation that it wasn’t going to be bad technique or something. Stupid sounding now that I admit it. I love the playing them all together idea as it’s something I didn’t come up with and it it makes so much sense to help practice immediately getting the shapes in your fingers. I’m already thinking about how you can do the same with larger interval structures, say like major scale degrees 1 456 then 2 567 3 671 ect. I’m gonna have practice ideas forever haha. This is definitely a gold mine of a channel, I’ve only saw 2 1/2 videos and I can already tell you’re one of the best I’ll ever come across. Thank you for confirming my intuition I should’ve trusted immediately and the new concepts!

Amazing! At first I couldn't tell the difference between the three pentatonic scales, but towards the end of the workout, when I started mixing them up I could hear their different atmospheres.... thank you so much! Great workout, and yes, I would like some more please!

I just watched your scales workout yesterday, and put it into practice right away. But I need to do that on the other scales first, since I want to master each one. This has some more advanced theories, so I'll be back to it in a couple weeks.
BTW this is in no way a critique of your methods. They are fantastic. It's my level, I don't want to leave gaps.

Am I correct that at 2.01, you already foreshadow what these groupings of 4 consecutive notes from the pentatonic are going to mean for two-handed voicings - they can be applied to the left hand, while the right hand adds triadic or quintal structures ? I see you two (rootless) So What voicings, and then LH Bb C Eb F, RH G Bb D ?
or are u playing LH Bb C D Eb F ?

The F Pentatonic, which you said you probably wouldn't lean on, sounds a bit like McCoy Tyner to my ears.

Q. What is the theory behind these penta choices, so we can transpose to other minor keys.
The Eb is obv the relative major. The Bb the major 7 scale degree.
But the F, iv minor in C minor. No? Can you explain?

One way to look at it is that Cminor is the Dorian scale related to Bb major. In Bb (and therefore Cm/C dorian), the major chords are Bb (the I), Eb (the IV) and F (the V).
Rock and blues guys have a similar approach where we'd use C minor pentatonic, D minor pentatonic, and G minor pentatonic which are each based on minor chords in Bb. (He alludes to it when he said Peter thinks of minor pentatonics.) Same notes but different ways of thinking about them.
The more ways you can think of things, the more you'll be able to do with them.

You probably guessed from my msg, I was treating Cm as the minor one chord.
Thus Eb as its relative major. : /

When you asked the question I started to reply as though C was the relative minor of Eb but that didn't explain F major pentatonic. Then I saw all the notes were in Bb.
Jazz guys often treat a minor chord as though it's the IIm instead of the VIm. I believe it's because of all the ii-V changes, but someone with more of a jazz background would need to explain that.
You could play Ab major pentatonic against Cm7 as if it's from Eb. Just be aware that the Ab will be a bit more dissonant than the choices he covered. :)
