This is juste a film with Jean Ragnotti old and Jean Ragnotti young. He drive the Alpine 110 when he was younger and now he drive the alpine 110 50 for his anniversary. That's not a race, this is juste his memory, a flashback ~ (Sorry for my english, I'm french :) )
Ce film est vraiment incroyable et spectaculaire… BRAVO RENAULT !!! Un seul regret, qu’il ne soit pas fait mention que l’Alpine A110 GR4 appartient à Erik Comas passionné de cette mythique auto depuis tant d’années et qui je pense a aussi contribué à la notoriété de la marque ces dernières années. C’est également lui qui la pilote, doublé par un acteur ressemblant à Jean Ragnotti jeune pour les besoins du film. Bel hommage à Jean Ragnotti et Bravo à Erik Comas !
J'ai eu le bonheur de rencontrer monsieur Ragnotti au circuit de charade il pilotait la Renault 5 maxi turbo. Que du bonheur. Très belle vidéo également !

Knowing how freaking amazing Clio RS and Megane RS are, able to beat much more powerful sports cars on tracks, and they're only FWD hatchbacks, this is going to be a beast...mid engined RWD beast.

That is the best Car commercial in 50 years, fantastic. .... No question about it. It sounds as if the new Alpine is equipped with Matra V-12 power. Whom ever the person or persons at Renault who hired that film crew and director / PR Firm was very smart, and undoubtably has very good taste.

En effet mais il conduit chaque année au Tour Auto au volant d'une Alpine A110, donc c'est un bel hommage qui lui est rendu. Les dates sont remodelés pas Renault pour l'occasion :)

I haven't had that many great experiences with french cars and i'll probably never wan't to purchase one myself, but with all the negative feedback aside, the Renault Alphine A110-50 looks damn good! Now it might only be a mere concept car, but i didn't think they had it in them anyway. Never heard a V6 this great.
It will. It's confirmed and it will probably come with the 2 liter engine from the megane and a weight target under a ton. Also it will be pure RWD. Top gear posted an article with that info.
