You could fit a lot of power into that little case, if you get a decent SFX PSU from the start. You could upgrade to a Ryzen 5700x or 5600, an RTX 4070, a better CPU cooler maybe like the IS-55, and add at least a 120mm slim intake fan on the bottom. Would be a very capable little system!
I just got the G200 which is from the same family of these cases, but can fit regular CPU coolers and PSUs, so you don't need to buy expensive SFX/ITX stuff (only the mobo). It's really not even that much bigger. And where I live was about £10 cheaper than the S300 (because there's no need for a riser cable). I highly recommend checking it out as an alternative. There's also the S400 which is the slightly bigger brother of the S300 that can take two top fans for better heat ventilation.
I just bought the bigger brother of this case, the S400. It's about two liters bigger and can accommodate the some of the biggest GPUs like the 4090 and 7900 XTX. Still waiting for my 13400 and new case fans to come in before I put it all together.
I have the S400 also! Amazing case. I have a 12700K and 3080 and both perform really well. I have two slim fans up top and that helps exhaust the hot air out. I definitely suggest using those fan slots if you're running a hot CPU and/or GPU.
This case looks solid, but I want to see the next build in it. This case is called the (Mechanic Master IF13) and it also can mount ATX PSU and a GPU of up to 345mm in length.

I currently have a 12600k and a RTX 3080 in this exact case and it runs great. CPU has the Noctua low profile cooler on it and the only complaint is that the case gets pretty warm after long sessions but I haven't seen any overheating in the last few months with it. Great little case
I get this is kinda old, but I'm planning a build with this case. You could do a 7800x3d with some caps on power usage and use a full copper 47mm cooler and be perfectly fine. I would highly suggest you guys join or talk into the SFF communities.

Im building my younger brother a pc with hyte revolt 3 / PSU and the same mobo from this video and the SSD from here too and I got the case and PSU combo for around 130 and its keeping my cost down and its running a Ryzen 5 3600 I got brand new for 80 dollars, the case is made for aio, but i added 2x 140MM NZXT PWM Fans to keep it cool, I got the ASrock B550m ITX Mobo used for like a hundred bucks and Its almost built just need to get a GPU and im gonna put in a Radeon RX 6600 inside just dont got the money yet, but I will soon.
Not bad for a itx system. Ive never built a itx system because there's so much risk that something doesn't fit. But a cheap system with a 1660 super/ti that's so small it's hard to mess it up. So long as your PSU fits you should be fine. Apparently AMD is pulling the plug on Rx 400/500/Vega driver support. Not sure about Nvidia 10 series but I bet they will remove driver support soon too. So the 1660 super, and 1660 ti (both perform about the same) make a good option for cheap GPUs with driver support.
Did Apevia stop using ketchup and mustard under mesh covers for their cables? In the video I see flat black cables and on amazon and newegg they show Ketchup & Mustard cables.

Will this motherboard fit a ryzen 5 5500 with a low profile cooler and if i wanted to go better gpu then the 1660s what would u recommend that would still fit
So tempted to do this mini build. I just got a 4060ti16, and the rest of my system is desperate for an update. I essentially plugged a modern card into a potato. (fx cpu... big oof). So bringing myself upto speed for 500, take away the 1660 price, fire savings into a better cpu, I might be laughing. Though I wonder how close to redline that power was. The 4060ti16 doesn't take ~that~ much more power than the 1660, (165 vrs 120) but I'm left wondering if there was enough headroom on that 500 watt for it.
Apparently the minimum PSU requirement for a 4060ti 16gb is 550w. I do think u want a better CPU for that 4060ti. Maybe a Ryzen 5500, or 5600. You could do a intel 12100f but I don't know about intel itx motherboards. Intel 12th gen tend to run hotter than Ryzen, 12100 being only 4 cores probably isn't that bad.
I wouldn't get the B550 ITX board for this build. The A520 ITX will be cheaper. The case uses PCI-E 3.0 riser anyways so the only real benefit from the B550 is wasted. Sure a GEN4 SSD would be nice but GEN3 is cheaper and you're not realistically going to tell the difference if all you're doing is gaming.
makes you wonder how much you can pull out of a form factor of that size. like a 2 fan RTX 4060/3060 paired with a 5900x BUT with the voltage capped to 1.1v and pbo cranked (with an aftermarket cooler) should make a great team. I run my 5900x rig and pull less than 320 watts at full tilt and that's with a 3070 ftw3 a 5900x capped to 1.1v and pbo cranked
you can pull alot, the question is more along the lines if your okay with the generally much higher temps you would deal with. (my 10850k can easily hit 90 degrees but its more due to me being limited to a 53mm tall cooler and my z490i board forces me to use a noctua l9i or the thermalright x53 low profile cooler due to clearance issues).
