“This Will Be Weaponised!” Fears Scotland’s New Hate Crime Law ‘Criminalises’ Free Speech

- New controversial hate crime laws will take effect from April 1, the Scottish Government has announced.
The Hate Crime and Public Order (Scotland) Act was passed by MSPs in March 2021 but its passage was one of the most difficult of the SNP’s time in government.
The Bill was heavily criticised throughout the process, with ministers repeatedly forced to climb down on certain provisions, such as the potential impact on performers.
The legislation will create a new offence of stirring up hatred against protected characteristics, including age, disability, religion, sexual orientation and gender identity, matching a similar offence based on race that has been on the statute book for decades.
Some concerns remain over the potential criminalisation of free expression.

Why should the Scottish people be used as emotional punching bags for the First Minister's 'complete distress' to the point that he's threatening to deny an entire people's enshrined human rights, freedom of speech and expression which are the very foundations of a fair democracy itself which is enshrined in the United Nation's Charter for Human Rights!!
Undermined by one who's motives are obviously and clearly triggered by an underlying personal crisis that has manifested itself towards one conducting themselves 'deeply irrationally and therefore out of character' that does not meet the norms of one's fiscal duty whilst in office.
In this case due to personal trauma that was endured from the experiences from another part of the World sadly.

One of the most egregious aspects of this legislation is that you could find yourself on a hate crime register without you even being aware that a complaint has been lodged, that the police have investigated without informing you, decided not to pursue it, but the complaint against you is nonetheless recorded. Your entire future employment prospects could be harmed without your knowledge, all because of something you may or may not have said whereby someone else felt sufficiently aggrieved to post an anonymous complaint.
And how did we get to the point where Police Scotland have stated that they do not have the resources to investigate burglaries and theft, but have committed to investigate every hate crime complaint?

Future crime senario...so a young girl has been raped in the girls toilets, what are we we looking for? a man who is a rapist, a woman with a penis who is a rapist, a trans women with a penis who thinks she is a woman and is a rapist or a transitioning man who now has a penis and is a rapist?? who is confused now? Those solving the crime, the poor child reporting the crime or the crim8nal rapist who wants to hide behind the law and then claim our sympathy to refute the sentence because he/ she/ they/ them or It is confused.
That makes the original birth certificate illegal .
