CZs World thank you for the great content. But I would like to point out that you missed one that I know of...we all know David is M. NIGHTS version of the man of steel. So when David and Audrey Dunn are on their dinner date. David tells Audrey that his favorite color is rust. Metal corrodes in water and rusts. Water truley is his weakness. Keep in mind water did not kill him when he was under water for 5 minutes in that pool when he was a child. Give me props CZ.
When we are first introduced to the adult Elijah, he is speaking to the customer about the Jaguaro art work. He tells the potential buyer to notice that Jaguaros head is disproportionate to its body. And that is common for villains in comic books. Or something along those lines. With Elijah's hairstyle, his head is seemingly disproportionate to his body as well. A clue that he is the villain, perhaps.

I realized as you were saying it that Davids wife's favorite song has a water reference (Davids weakness) and it's by Prince who is famously known for one color..... PURPLE! the same color Glass wears.... BAM!
That's not how you get Oscars :) They are rarely won just by good acting. There's a lot of campaigning and personal sacrifice/investment involved.Would be cool if you could deliver a performance, go home, forget about it and then later get nominated for the awards. But no, that's not the way. Just like the President of the United States is not just chosen out of the political crowd for good politics, he must first run for office. Actors kinda have to do the same. Campaigning their film, campaigning their character, get people interested and such, convince your studio too, as the studio has to shell out a shitload of money to get a film or actor even on the radar for an Oscar. At least that's how I understand that thing.
Kevin's father is the one dying on the stretcher in the room next to David he literally watches his future villains father died just before he walks out and then sees the kid that is his future adversary
If it were me that's updated with the feet Kevin and mr. Glass and one of his manic episodes Kevin would somehow mansion his father died on a train and I saw you come out of the hospital why didn't he survive and you die and Kevin we're going to be told mr. Glass is the one that rigged the train accident and Kevin will turn on Master Class
CZsWorld I suspect Shyamalan didn’t originally plan for that character to come back in such an impactful way, but later on he did, and it made for one hell of a great plot twist. Makes you wonder, could any of the other people he bumped into have become super villains?
I think a lot or maybe all of the references to split in this where going to tease the beast who i think would have been a big fight for the end and they left in the references
I saw an interview with M. Night and originally it was all one big story in Unbreakable but it was too much content for one movie so Split was then born, followed by Glass. Kevin and his mom were always a plot point in Unbreakable and the tie in is Kevin's dad dying on the train. Kevin was always going to be a villain because his family was completely destroyed due to the father's death in the train.
It's not Kevin and his mom in Unbreakable. The boy in Unbreakable is credited as "5-year-old boy" and the boy wlo played him was five at the time. If fifteen years passed since Unbreakable in Split, then Kevin would be 20 and would have had to have been working at the Zoo since he was 10 years old since Dr. Fletcher says he was managing at the zoo for 10 years. If anything, maybe at some point Kevin's dad did leave him and his mom on a train and he decided to return on the same train as David and he died.
After seeing Glass, and seeing Unbreakable again, I believe I have found an easter egg in Unbreakable that hints at the Black Clover organization. It's during the scene where Elijah is sitting in front of the Egyptian hieroglyph slate, explaining to David that historians have been recording evidence of super powered beings for "10,000" years. On the slate, directly next to Elijah's face, I see an image of what looks like a circled clover. Then I remember in Glass, Dr. Staple says they have been stopping super powered beings for "10,000" years.

One (major) difference that you missed also, is that David is dumb while Elijah is portrayed as highly intelligent! And i found this particularly clever and well done, every character nowadays needs to be portrayed as smart, but i loved the simple and dumb mister Dunn, it doesn't take anything from his glory, but it's obvious! He gets a raise by accident, not even thinking about it, he has to ask his wife if he's been sick, etc... he sure is not the sharpest knife in the drawer and that makes him enjoyable! High virtue, no particular wit! He's pretty much a blunt weapon!

It makes following along exponentially easier and makes having to deal with advertisements much easier to digest. This is a brilliant feature I wish more channels incorporated. I'll be hitting the like and subscribe for the content and that fact combined. Excellent work.
I think I have put together that that scene where Dunn takes The Beast through the glass, is actually before they get captured. In trailer 1, it shows presumably Dunn getting captured with all the cops, and the (presumably) Doctor stopping them. This would make sense as to why Dunn knocks into Edwin on the street, and why The Hoard is just gathering girls again rather than being complicit in a plan with Glass. I also just hope that so I doesn't feel like I saw the major arc of the movie already.
Having that be Kevin would actually be a great plot/ narrative device. It would add more weight to their fights, and as a whole, relationship, because Dunn, would have inadvertently been responsible for the creation of the hoard; He never interfered with the abuse. It would be a “with great power comes great responsibility” type of scenario, and it would be genius!
There was a interview with Shyamalan on CBS Sunday morning today. He didn't plan for this to come so many years later...just life and he had some feelings about the way unbreakable was received. He's all good now.
Another thing about the comic book cover, which is full of symbolism foreshadowing the scenario up to glass : The superhero is in green, jaguaro (the beast) is in yellow...and the whole background is in tones of purple ! Showing that the 2 are gonna confront...AND that the context will be entirely provided by Mr Glass ! And in reality, he actually provokes both their "birth" as superhumans...and their actual death ! Like he was there all along And when the image transitions to the black and white picture in his shop, the colors aren't there, it's just a distant vision...but he's in the reflection as usual...so he's still already in the background, because it's HIS vision.
Fun little easter egg I noticed in the Glass Trailer was one of the personalities that came out of Kevin was wanting his headphones back a reference to the guard in split. Just a funny little thing I noticed
Fun fact: The woman who may be Kevin's mom is wearing red as a reference to the woman in red from the matrix, as the woman was meant to stand out due to her bright coloured dress in a sea of dark clothes.
Red is danger symbolically. Shes wearing red because its the moment he embraces his gift and chooses his new path. A very dangerous path. Its why the door to the house in american beauty is red Its why Christine is a red Plymouth. The girl jack dies for in titanic is named rose and wears red a lot. So forth. and so on.
You do such a great job of breaking these movies down, I actually hope you do more "non-horror" movies in the future! Don't get me wrong, I love the horror genre; I grew up watching horror movies and it remains my favorite genre to this day. However, I feel like you would do an amazing job with different genres, especially sci-fi or fantasy films. Just a (very long) thought.
I saw Split with a friend in theaters, who had never seen Unbreakable, but I had, many years ago as a little kid. I kept saying "the music score in this is so familiar, what is it? I know this music." Then at the end when it shows Bruce Willis hearing the news, I was like "OHHHH!" And suddenly the entire movie I just watched made complete sense. I also love this universe where superpowers are subtle and present as almost just unusual circumstances. Mr. Glass' power is the power of manipulation and intuition, knowing everything and placing events because he has a god complex, but it's nothing actually super, he's overcompensating control for the lack of strength and stability he has in his body. And he's not just normal manipulative, he has nat 20 rolls every time he rolls for persuasion, he gets away with extreme acts of terrorism and no one bats an eye at him, not just because he's a frail man in a wheelchair, but because he can practically hypnotize people with his eloquence and intelligence, even David almost falls for it before he touches Glass' hand and feels who he truly is. David is indestructible and super strong, but not actually so much that it's effortless for him. He still strains when exerting his strength, he still suffers, and he's still susceptible to weakness like his proneness to drowning, it just usually never does enough damage to stop him, and there have been claims of phenomena where someone exhibits strength that doesn't match their physical disposition, usually because of adrenaline, which would be a factor in every situation where he exhibited this strength. And on top of that, he has this hindsight touch, seeing what evil people have done. It's almost like it's more of an intuition because he feels what kind of person they are and his mind is just really good at filling in all of the rest of the context. And Kevin actually has DID but like his psychiatrist has theorized, it's developed so far that it's become physical reality and his identities are physically manifested, including an inhuman beast with super strength. Within this universe, it's like it's almost the same as ours, but every so often someone with a trauma, physical or mental, develops a slightly extra-human ability within that trauma induced mutation, just enough that no one believes it's real, but that it makes them more than human.
If you really want to connect a conspiracy theory out of nothing, make "Glass" Nick fury' s father who idealized the hero but became fascinated his dad's theory of super powers being real. I'm thinking that Casey Cooke will be the 'twist' in Glass; she will also be a superhero. Everyone says that there won't be a sequel to 'Glass', but I don't believe it. 'Glass' will be too big a hit not to have a follow-up.
She's going to be "The Hunter/Opposite" to "The Beast". She has a natural ability to not be seen by predators/bad people. It's a subtle hint dropped several times in the movie, most notable at the beginning kidnapping car scene. Dennis doesn't even see her or deal with her until she makes noise. @@iziahwilliams-collier323 Well done! Luckily, Disney is initiating its own streaming service; they'll need known content. I'm thinking that's why 'Glass' was PG-13.
Shyamalan was forced to put in those subtitles at the end because the studio thought audiences would otherwise believe that David simply left Elijah to his own devices.
And the purple background on his first comic may be a reference to mr. glass. Also, in unbreakable the rug in the rehab room uses all 3 colors in the shapes.
On the bus when David returns from work and sees Joseph playing football and invites him to play before going to lift weights there’s a writing in green. “People on this bus know something you don’t.”
@@guatobean2869 Checked it out, it seems he was originally going to include child Kevin in Unbreakable but took him out, but that bit got left in. So I wouldn't say it's canon that he is indeed Kevin, considering the intention was for him not to be in the movie. I'm sure this will come up in interview again though.
@@CZsWorld Gotcha, I thought Kevin was written out of being the main antagonist and instead replaced by Orange Suit Man while the kid scene was left as an easter egg of sorts.
I’m just remembering the voicemail message Elijah left David talking about the comic issue where the a group called the Coalition is trying to figure out all the weaknesses of superheroes....and soon enough in glass the group Clover is such a group preying on them to try and wither figure out and convince them they aren’t super or kill them, using the “pink” lady to exploit any weaknesses

I loved unbreakable and it was only the other day that I found out that split was connected to it (I've yet to watch it), can't wait to see it now especially with glass on the horizon.
For the kevin's mom in unbreakable bit, theres one detail you need to keep in mind. The original plan for split was for it to be a direct sequel made right after unbreakable. It wasnt supposed to be released nearly 2 decades later. So kevin in the original idea wasnt going to be a child. That only happened so they could keep bruce willis and samuel l jackson in the roles. Now it is possible that the franchise will continue with the idea that the man on the train is kevin's father and that this is a younger kevin, but that will be a retcon and not the original plan.
One last opposition between David and Elijah, and one of the most important : Elijah's will and resolve is as unbreakable as steel, and goes with his superpower of intelligence and cosmic awareness...he always believed. While David is mentally weak and fragile, and doesn't believe in himself (He shows signs of deep depression from the start of the movie, it's his sadness Elijah and him often talk about, and Joseph understands faster than him that he IS a super) It is showed again in glass, when Kevin and David have just been in the institution for a few weeks, and already start to doubt the reality of their own powers, especially David...and even the horde doubts, i mean, come on ! And Elijah, who has been there for 16 YEARS, with no way to be sure he'd ever hear about David or another superhero again, all alone...KNOWS it's bullshit and the three of them are real. HE still believes, Mr Glass doesn't...break. I freaking LOVE these movies !!! ... (and their sequel Trap 😉🤫)
I'm surprised that you didn't catch on to the water reference being David's weakness... That has been a videogame trope for many years In the early games, the player { or good guy } would die if he got in the water... it was a limitation of the programming since early games were not open world like they are now.
I agree that 'Unbreakable' might not be a horror-film, but I think all 3 could definitely count as suspense-thrillers. PS, I think you should do more of those! YAY CUBBIES!!!
The rug from the therapy room scene (where Elijah is talking to David’s wife) is purple, green, yellow and blue. That scene is at 0:51:27 into the movie. If you want to study that and try to see if that is just another clue.
Oh ok I see, I try to catch little details if possible thought I’d let you know. I love your videos by the way I binge watched your videos when I first discovered your channel. I love your content 😁

Zinc Chameleon I’m sorry M Night can’t sell anything to Netflix Disney owns Unbreakable and Comcast owns Split they both made Glass
@@iziahwilliams-collier323 Well done! Luckily, Disney is initiating its own streaming service; they'll need known content. I'm thinking that's why 'Glass' was PG-13.
Am I the only one that notice the beast kidnapped an entire team of cheerleaders in Glass!?!
Great video ! ..unbreakable is one of my favorite films .
Dudeee I just discovered your channel and I loved it !
13 days for Glass, i'm excited?! ... 😀 🔥
Can't believe it's almost here!
Yes! Same

I'm watching it on Friday I'm so excited
@@hm6715 I won't
Really good video!!!! Thank you for the entertainment and fun!
Dude this analysis was great bro!!!
I could watch these reviews forever... so detailed !
That last scene of the video. Bravo 👏👏👏
You caught me off guard. Well done. I will now Subscribe...Cheers!
Truly amazing vid. I'm gunna watch some more CZsWorld vids next.
Subscribed after FIRST minute....excellent intro..
top quality vids CZ, had me thinking i was watching 'made for tv' stuff for a minute there.
The reflection thing is actually a thing he uses in all of his movies, next time you watch any of his movies you will notice them.
Does he know what an alliteration is? LOL Clark Kent?? Great video man! I can't wait for glass
It's still an alliteration because it's the same sound!
@@CZsWorld I went to public school where they only teach you half of the definition lol
And the blue is water surrounding David's color
Great analysis...I was wondering about the ''upside down thing ''' ! THANKS
On the bus when David returns from work and sees Joseph playing football and invites him to play before going to lift weights there’s a writing in green.
“People on this bus know something you don’t.”
What if their seeing-reflections scenes tie in also with Elijah's quote about the spectrum? They are the end, middle, and beginning of the spectrum.
Never seen you, this is great. Subscribed!
Great review dude!
Loved the video! Can't wait to see the one on spilt.
M. Night confirmed the kid and lady in red/split theory...loved how it was a poignant moment in the film, really stood out to me.
Where did he confirm that?
@@CZsWorld "Rule of Crumb" article in Total Film magazine. Great content btw!!
And the colour of voicemail message is green. It’s usually red.
Nice content buddy keep at it
Dude these are great insights. Even for someone like me who has seen Split and Unbreakable countless times
Great video just saw split on Redbox I will have to see unbreakable again.nice touch with criminally insane closing. Always been a M night fan
M.Knight Shamaloma-Ding Dong is a genius in movie directing. It either bombs or is a master piece
Too bad they didn't make these movies sooner. Bruce Willis was 44 in 2000. Now he is 63.
Bruce looks mad good for his age tho. He looks almost exactly the same! It's crazy. Except for the beard in the beginning of Glass, but that's it.
@@omicron5529 the beard made him look much older lol
totally you are siccccck man...love your video keep it up 👏👏👏👏
I love your channel!! You make the most amazing videos!! ❤️
Love this!! You're amazing at noticing details
When he turned up at end of split In the diner I was like whaaaaaaat
CZs World I want u do about Disney Villains someday that would be cool huh?
A scary situation, but it brings a tear that an innocent child can truly believe that Mr. Reeves was the Bulletproof Man.
Great video bro I love the whole way this all fits together I wonder if all his movies take place in the same universe but I swear and anyone can say that I'm wrong but wen the lady in red bumps into David I thought at the end of the voice clip I heard Wendell crumb being yelled I played it over again a few times with the voice all the way up I could swear I heaed it but keep it up bro good job catching all that
I don't know if they all take place in the same universe. I don't see Airbender and Sixth Sense being same universe, but I do see The Happening and After Earth being related.
Very observant! You're awesome
Very interesting I really love the theory or him bumpin into a younger version of the man we know now as "the monster" awesome stuff Gunna watch split n glass - everything you missed next _just subbed
I like your content a lot. Detailed and thought provoking. But I do have to know... is your name for reals Zac Morris? >.< hehe

Dude you were so right about Kevin’s dad
This is a great content my friend. I like your creativity in presentation! Today’s world it is very hard to keep people engage for 13 minutes and you absolutely kept me the all 13:23
I automatically hit the like button before I forget when I watch CZsworld vidz.
I loved unbreakable and it was only the other day that I found out that split was connected to it (I've yet to watch it), can't wait to see it now especially with glass on the horizon.
Bro you was spot on 👌
congrats on 177k subscribers
Thanks! Let's go after 1M!
Just watched glass yesterday and ya you were right about Kevin's dad being on the train.
Awesome video
M.Night would be really happy if he'd ever find out this video .
Kudos to you ...
GREAT VIDEO
You are most excellent
One last opposition between David and Elijah, and one of the most important : Elijah's will and resolve is as unbreakable as steel, and goes with his superpower of intelligence and cosmic awareness...he always believed.
While David is mentally weak and fragile, and doesn't believe in himself
(He shows signs of deep depression from the start of the movie, it's his sadness Elijah and him often talk about, and Joseph understands faster than him that he IS a super)
It is showed again in glass, when Kevin and David have just been in the institution for a few weeks, and already start to doubt the reality of their own powers, especially David...and even the horde doubts, i mean, come on !
The quick Thomas the train clip! LOL
Ok, ya got me I liked and subscribed
I'm surprised that you didn't catch on to the water reference being David's weakness... That has been a videogame trope for many years In the early games, the player { or good guy } would die if he got in the water... it was a limitation of the programming since early games were not open world like they are now.
Elijahs baby blanket also has a purple lining
I agree that 'Unbreakable' might not be a horror-film, but I think all 3 could definitely count as suspense-thrillers. PS, I think you should do more of those! YAY CUBBIES!!!
Fantastic!
The rug from the therapy room scene (where Elijah is talking to David’s wife) is purple, green, yellow and blue. That scene is at 0:51:27 into the movie. If you want to study that and try to see if that is just another clue.
I thought about mentioning that but I was afraid people would get bored if I talked too much about color.
Oh ok I see, I try to catch little details if possible thought I’d let you know. I love your videos by the way I binge watched your videos when I first discovered your channel. I love your content 😁
@@smurffette570 Shyamalan's character in Unbreakable is also blue.
Well done
