- Another Trip to my favorite Northwoods Wisconsin destination The WINMAN Trails with my trusty sidekick Fruit Punch... so what's new about that? Actually a Lot..
Not that I ever need a reason to load up the truck and head north for the weekend but when I'm teased by instagram post claiming new trails and new features... naturally I am going to go check that out ASAP.
We had one full day to explore all the changes and upgrades at Winman so we hooked up with Brad the property manager for the full download on what to go see and what to expect in the coming months.
Ultimately we discovered that a very motivated and well lead team of outdoor enthusiasts are working day in and day out on phase 2 of a project which focuses not just on the trails themselves but the entire experience one can have and how to make it unique. Beyond rebuilding, rerouting, renaming and reopening some of the older trails there are also new trails being constructed right now. These trails are already shown on the updated trail map and scheduled to be open by the end of this riding season.
Huge shout out to the trail crew that we met while they were putting in some hard work in the summer heat: Joel, Brad, Christian, Ryan, and Cal. If you run into these dudes on the trail make sure you thank them for their hard work.
If you want to learn more or download a trail map you can find them on instagram, Facebook and here: www.winmantrails.com

killer videos and even better editing per usual. Headed tomorrow as a last minute trip up! Thanks for all the info a beginner would want/need to hear. Cheers 🤙🏼
Lucky you! Enjoy! I won’t be back up there until mid July 👍. Also thank you for the compliment, I truly appreciate it 🙌
Nice video. Looks like a nice optional stop on the way to Copper Harbor.
Oh most definitely! I think you’d definitely find it’s worth the stop 🤙
Nice riding guys. Great use of drone footage. Keep riding and enjoy the journey.
Thanks so much 👍 You too man, just subbed to follow your journey as well 🤙
@@TheDustyDutchman , I like your editing style! I do not take a lot of set shots. They look good though. you seem to get around to a lot of cool places. Surprised we haven't crossed paths as some of those places as I have ridden many of the same places you have.
Thank you!
Funny how that works right?! If we ever cross paths please don’t hesitate to stop and say hello 👋
The bike wash scene was quite a hit here 😂👏🏼
It was a very special moment 🙌
Love the videos! It appears I'm following you around a bit. Heading to Winman this weekend, was in Bentonville last fall and Brown Co St. Park last spring
Haha! That’s awesome 👏. Like minds for sure! Thanks for watching! What’s gonna be your next trip after Winman?
Great vid! Should I be jealous of the bike wash scene?
Honestly… yeah
@@TheDustyDutchman you should say: no, mom! 🤪
This place looks amazing. Is there a season pass needed?
Thanks, it really is a great place. 👍
The trails are open to the public and free to use. However there are a few ways to support the facility. They have many ways to donate as well as a new annual membership program that comes with a few perks as well as supports the trail system.
Well now I wan to go back! Primarily for another bike wash shower
Yeah dude. One of the best showers I’ve had with a homie in a long time…
We ride here all the time and avg about 8mph. We need help learning how to jump like what speed are you usually riding them at? Thanks
Hard to say exactly because they’re all a little different. In general when riding a new feature or jump I prefer to get a “tow in” by someone that has cleared the feature or jump. That way you can just follow that person through the feature and gauge the necessary speed. In general you don’t need much speed for the jumps at WinMan so it also just might be scenario of learning how to “pop” off the lips of the jumps a bit more.
