I like that $25,000 Pyramid had Jack Clark (Wheel of Fortune) and Johnny Gilbert (Jeopardy!) as the announcers. Johnny is still announcing on Jeopardy at 96 years old in 2024.

I can’t believe “driver’s license” was accepted for Things on a License Plate…

I don’t know why Audrey didn’t get buzzed for saying “license.”

@@matthew3alex I didn't hear Audrey say license, only "Numbers, a state, name of a state, colors, call letters, nicknames, your state" and "The year of registration."

Fun fact: In the $100,000 Clark version, When a tiebreaker occurs, they don't go to a commercial.

I believe this became the practice starting toward the end of season 1 of The $25,000 Pyramid.

@@stixnatedogg At first, on the August 23, 1983 episode when they had Blind Players on, then permanently beginning with the week of September 5, 1983(#0251-#0255) when the "We've Got The Touch" campaigns began and the Press Your Luck promos began airing.

Time pressure…..ABC had 30 minutes and 4.25 minutes for ads. Dick Clark had to manage that. If he didn’t manage it properly he was toast because he was messing with the network’s income. That’s why he panicked every time there was a tiebreaker and rushed things.
Like 2 minute warning in football. Dick would have not made a good head football coach.
