I see several features in the trailer that were not in the alpha,
1: being able to shoot an iceberg and capsize a ship
2: being able to ram an iceberg and keep going, ie break off some of the ice
3: ram a ship and slice it in half
4: night time battles
Actually you can now ram and split a ship if done right
Luminous Pulse you can do it in the game
+bleeckertb you can ram ships and slice them in half
none of this was ever added lmao
What line are you anticipating?
World of Warships honestly carriers from what i've seen you guys have done an awesome job implementing that difficult part of the game in a way that isn't OP but is still a massive threat to larger ships :D

I am quite excited about this. All the videos put out so far are quite awesome! I'm definitely going carrier and destroyers but Ill be trying everything for testing purposes. Cant knock it till ya try it!

I so love how the Trailers make the game look like Your flying War Thunder planes in World of Warships.
For those who don't know and are asking, yes you can Ram enemy ships in the game and severely damage or destroy them, even split the ship in half given the right speed and size of the ships. However you do sustain damage to yourself and even destroy your own ship. its more of a last resort tactic. I do know while playing as an Aircraft Carrier having no heavy secondary guns, I managed to ram and kill an enemy destroyer trying to torpedo me. very fun.
Whew! They didn't forget about the Somers class destroyer. (The US destroyer with 4 twin SP 5-inch gun turrets, quad 1.1 inch AA guns, and 3 quintuple torpedo tubes.)

Anyone else notice the Somers Class destroyer that is featured in this video? It isn't listed in the USN destroyer tech tree. Maybe it is a sign of things to come?
Dear world of warships employees. How can it be that i registered for closed (Alpha and beta) testing in 2012 and still have no acces to any closed test and at least ten of my friends who registered just a couple week ago all did get an Invitation?

This game seems really polished are you introducing any new nations or ships in this closed beta test? Or is this going to be more of a focus on gameplay mechanics?
close and open beta will be there for testing, to get all of the bugs out, it will be after full release when a new tree will be added, which would be the Russians, then the Germans, then the British....
So the forum said that only apply before 12pm PDT will be allowed, but I actually received the email on 13th of March saying the beta goes live?
Epic naval battles are massive panoramic affairs. This game screams for my PC battle station to have a trio of massive 24" or bigger HD monitors.

The PC Elitist Remember, it's Beta. WG said u couldn't bounce a shot off a tank and hit ANOTHER tank, but they added that in. Indirect damage like that will probably be added later.
Not yet, but i believe dynamic enviroments will be a thing at some point, such as the weather, storms, rough water, etc.

It looks great, but I'm just annoyed that a Devastator (torpedo bomber) is divebombing a light cruiser. The USN didn't go for targets like that (Atago class, I think) earlier in the war when we used that color scheme and still used the Devastator. Also, one doesn't simply ram through another ship. Without damage. Still can't wait to play.

I am going to be in school when the beta applications start. I have no way of signing up at school and therefore I have no chance to join CBT. You know, because that is soooo fair. I have searched for days on a way to join CBT and the only time I can do it is during school hours. So all the people with no job, school, or something to do, get to play the game and the people who have to support their families/get a forced education have to sit and watch everyone else pretty much rub it in our faces. I would just skip tomorrow. But my mom won't let me and I will feel like crap for doing it. I don't know what to do. The sign ups would likely start and end in like 10 minutes and I have to wait hours before I can even look at their website.

There's a few gameplay videos if you want to see the carrier mechanics.
yeah and they arent like in WoT
It works similar to how the Artillery works in WOT. however you get to manage each squadron separately and tell them where to go and what to do like an RTS game.

I really hate it when they took everything bcak to down to 0, when I worked so hard to build my line of battler ships upa nd crusisers ect, and now I have to start all over again, which was wrong, they should have asked us if we wanted to keep our ships or started over, I really hated it because I lost allot of good vet ships.
