As a child I remember feeling sad when my family was driving home from Ararat/Stawell and seeing the derelict railway so close to the highway at 9:37. I remember there being a line of telephone poles next to the track to mark it out even further. Especially when before Kennett's government shut down the line we'd take a comfortable trip on the Dimboola train instead.
@@Aviumkeeper it's good to see the line back open and used these days. Happy thoughts instead of sad ones. 👍😀
Dragging the cars and tradie vans off at Trawalla - priceless
@@Bobbydazzlla varooom. 😀😀👍

That line ends at Ararat now, is that right? The SG is via Geelong I think. I did an overnight on the Overland many years ago. Great memories. Cheers from Wagga.
@@jamescrawford9883 you are correct. 👌 The Overland is a daytime service twice a week these days. Glad it brought back memories for you. 👍😀
@@driver667 Thanks mate. Love your videos.

Does the V'Locity have cruise control? How do you maintain line speed?
@@user-zv1kv6zh2m no, they don't have cruise control. The driver regulates the speed. 👍😀
Fast, straight track is very hypnotic.🥱 Almost put me to... 😴
(Edit, an hour later) I just remembered that someone else said this in the comments of another cab view video. I also remember replying "WAKE UP!" 😳
@@martythemartian99 don't fall asleep, you've got a train to run 😀😀 👍
