Ah, nice! I went to Uni in Ballarat about 25 years ago. Can see the house I lived in for a year or so near the start. Good times! Also bad times... mostly good though!
Watched the 1977 Australian film The getting of wisdom yesterday, pretty sure the film of the steam train arriving at Spencer Street was done at Ballarat station
@@markm8035Not a bad idea but if the track speed is changed, my videos will be giving the wrong information to the trainees that watch them. For this reason certain things are not included on the videos. 👍😀
@@driver667Hi. To get an accurate speed of the train, you can get another camera recording the speedometer of the train and then, edit the video with the speedometer in the corner. Hope it helps!
@markm8035 I have on my computer 'Speed Distance Time Calculator". As the train passes each 1 Km interval mark at the side of the track, I pause the RUclips take notice of the time to the next 1 Km mark, this indicates the time in seconds. Open up the calculator, feed in the figures the computer will do the rest. All the Best.
I've gotten so used to trains traveling either to or from Ballarat, it was mildly surprising to pass through. Even though people must do it every day.🤓
Bungaree and Wallace by passed for a 3:45min short cut. That a huge unnecessary loop taken out of the trip. Especially with a large highway servicing both townships now. Better than the old goat track with semi's every 5 minutes of the 1970's, Dad was a bit of a lead foot back then and it wasn't much fun having to overtake them all.

@@DodderingOldMan glad it brought back memories for you, even if some were bad 😂 Glad you enjoyed it 👍 😀

@@gregthompson3274 don't think I have watched that one. Might have to chase it up. 👍😀
Great video as always. Question - think we could add the track speed along the route? Would give a lot of info for the average Joe.

One thing I can say is at Trawalla they're doing more than 110KMs. Faster than the traffic on the highway

@@Trainspottervic I like all the routes but if I had to choose, then it would be warrnambool. Glad you enjoy them. 👍😀

@@Jack-ub8kc none really. They all have their own appeal. 👍😀
