Twisted Sister actually started way back in 1972 and have had a lot of different musicians before ending up with the line up that recorded their first album. In the early days they secured themselves a residence gig at The Mad Hatter in East Quogue, New York. Playing 6 days a week so they quickly got a lot of experience. 5x40 minutes shows a night. By December 1974 guitarist Jay Jay French aka John French Segall already had played 600 nights and 3000 performances. Vocalist Dee Snider aka Daniel Snider didn't join until 1976.
