Was the 6306 movement a direct drop in (fit) into the 6309-7290 case? I recently got into Seikos and want to put one of these movements into mine. Thanks for the help!
Hi. Interesting video. How do you know this watches are both from after 1982? I did not understand how it works with the ref numbers … thanks And what is the ref of the second transition seiko?
You need to look at the first two numbers in the serial number. First serial tells you the year, second tells you production month. 20XXX tells you October of 1982. You need to know the decade(s) of production for that model. Hope this helps.
Hey @jeromef2001 great information from @MagicMikesWatches. It certainly helps to have a working knowledge of the approximate decades in which the movements were produced. Also, in 1981 Seiko began moving production of the 6309 to Hong Kong, and as a result, the Suwa "S" logo doesn't appear on examples produced after 1981. This is just an easy way to gauge at a glance when a "Turtle" was produced.
@@MagicMikesWatches so first number 2 means 1982 ??? Why ? And second number 0 means October ??? I don’t understand anything. Where can I find the data for all these numbers signification ?
@@hubcityvintage yes but his to be sure that the dial is real and not reprinted with new written ?? Can we check the correspondence with a dial and a back case ?
I miss your PodCast!
