- Join us in our festive vlog as we visit Europa Park for the first time during winter season. Along with riding our favourite attractions at the park, we also check out the Christmas shows and extra additions such as the large Ferris wheel in the Portugeese themed area. Europa Park is also decorated with thousands of Christmas decorations, including millions of lights and 2,500 Christmas trees!

Blue Fire at night looks like a goddamn spiritual experience

The monorail at night during Christmas season is absolutely amazing. I agree with you. It is my favorite nighttime experience at Europa Park.

Winter Efteling is really 'gezellig'. The park is transformed in a nice winter theme, with fires and special entertainment. Some attractions like De Vliegende Hollander (Flying Dutchman) and the Piranha are closed, and some of the rollercoasters are only available when the weather isn't too cold or wet. I'd say it's definitely worth a visit :).

You are right Shawn. :D There used to be apre show in Universe of Energy. It was in the bigger room in the queue. I remember that three screens showed the evolution of dinosaurs in a dramatic way with lots of thunder and lightning. But that was actually it. My father said that the pre-show was connected with the sponsor of the ride. They removed everything about the sponsor and put in the base camp themeing in the queue lines.
Hi there Shawn...the Winter Efteling started in 1998 for the first time. The Efteling got the idea when a huge snow fall in the spring changed the park in a magical area...and the guests were enthousiastic.
The Efteling has a ice rink, Langlauf track and a snowpalace added to the themepark, entertainment, fire places everywhere and 3d Mapping over Villa Volta....it's not so decorated as Europa Park...which looks amazing I must say, but at night the Efteling looks amazing...great vlog by the way! ;)

Efteling is a beautifull park to visit during the winter. Villa Volta has some really cool projector mapping, there are camp fires everywhere, attractions and fairy tales got some really cool christmas decorations and all attractions are beautifull lit up and functional at night! A really cool experience! Definately a highlight of the year :)

Europa Park is so nice at Christmas. We love it too. Have you been to the Circus? It is a very nice one hour classic Circus Show. For me the best Show in winter. The Show at the Globe Theatre is also very nice. Even the little Children's Musical which is in the Dutch themed area is very very nice. There is so much to do and to see in the wonderful world of Europa Park.
The circus was excellent, we loved it

Watching the christmas vlogs from Europa Park and Phantasialand is making me want to go to one of them at christmas myself. I think that Thorpe Park need to have a Christmas event! Open most the rides apart from Tidal Wave and then allow annual passholders in for free, everyone else pays £10-£15 and have a fireworks display on the lake behind Rush etc. Santas Grotto in where Cabin in the woods is at fright nights and you will have a brilliant turn out.
You should make a trip to them!
