You know I always did feel like the Revenant was a utility/command vehicle. That side seat always made it feel like an Elite commander could sit there and direct the battle while being protected by the speed and the mortar. Glad to know my ideas of its origins weren't too far off.
Punctuation Man there is Razorback in Halo Infinite, which is an armored Warthog TT with no turret. Funnily, in Wh40K the Razorback is a fire support vehicle which is a "Rhino" APC with a turret.
I would love for a small short film or mini-series that just shows the UNSC figuring out how these weapons work, 343 could bring more of that early Halo 2 and Halo 3-esc comedy back with something like that
Yeah, we know in the fall of reach that they gathered all they could, and it would be awesome to see the retro engineering of energy shields and weapons
Maybe the upcoming Halo tv series will talk about this. It looks like they're pouring a lot of money into the show, would be cool to see the initial human interaction with the covenant weapons.
As someone who has... mixed luck with weapons that require more precision, I loved the Focus rifle back in the day. But if I had to pick one single thing I loved most in Reach... it'd be the Revenant. Got an annoying light vehicle or group of players/enemies? Revenant. Some cocky bastard with a rocket launcher or other power weapon? Revenant. Hell, got a runaway Scorpion being an asshole? Circle around them and rain plasma until it's a flaming wreck. The only things that a Rev has trouble with is air vehicles, but even then, good aim and leading or a player riding shotgun can help fix that. Gods, even more so than the Chopper, I want the Revenant to appear in a new game.
And the focus rifle would be perfect if they can make more damage to vehicles (most plasma weapons should do it in general) and if it can blind more the target. Smooth looking, cool details and great Overheating animation (Like the Repeater).
The plasma repeater is such a beautiful weapon. I wish it was used in the most recent games instead of the storm rifle, the latter just looks like a cross between a covenant carbine and a human assault rifle.
They need to bring it back as a infantry support weapon like some SAW, keep all three models of the plasma weaponary. Plasma rifle as a medium standard, Storm as range, Repeater as close. Would be interesting to see how that plays out in the sandbox.
The sounds details and cooling are awesome, i really hope they make a boost in the armor and vehicle damage, because that's why it's pretty useless in multiplayer.
A theory I've got on why the Energy Sword and Gravity Hammer are called the Type 1 and Type 2. The UNSC has the weapons of the Covenant classified differently between melee and ranged weaponry and while ranged weapons are categorized by year, melee weapons are categorized numerically in the order they were first reported. Meaning the Energy Sword made a reported appearance before the Gravity Hammer.
This... Makes a lot of sense. While technically in canon the Brutes were encountered by Humans BEFORE the Elites (see the book Contact Harvest), the Gravity Hammer wasn't BUILT yet. Instead, the brute chieftain in the book uses the Fist of Rukt before it was turned into the first Gravity Hammer, which all others are based off. Soon after, Elites would start appearing, with only official Swordmaster's, very high ranking officers and elite (as in skill level) Spec Ops wielding them. Eventually all other brute chieftains would start converting their hammers into gravity hammers, but that would be some time after the swords were encountered and catalogued EDITORS NOTE: This original comment used to state that "every rank of elite" would have used energy swords. I think they can but same as you my memory could be mixing with Halo 3
They can, they do in firefight
A great video but the shade turret and its variants? Especially as they can be used in multiplayer too...
Plasma cannon is also used by brute chieftains
10:25 Turn the subs on.
I know it's not a Q&A video but I have a burning question regarding Cortana, Gravemind, and Infinite. Do you think perhaps she had been brainwashed by Gravemind? Or possibly manipulated to take over the galaxy? She did spend a good time on High Charity with him, and he is known for "convincing" AI to work on his behalf, namely Mendicant Bias. Also do you think that could potentially play a role in Halo Infinites plot, given the Discover Hope Cotrana tease as well as the plot likely unfolding on Zeta Halo?
Or it could just be a case of shattered fragments of her discarded by her real 'core' may have reformed on their own - with the Domain's help.
There are several possibilities.
I love your channel :)
Keep up the good work 👍👌👌
15:25 so the scarab is just one big hunter boi
Well duh why else do you think there is a Lekgolo colony as the core of the Scarab
Ok I gotta say, the way you said fist of rukt actually surprised me. I am confusion
Wait, wasn't the Brute red plasma rifle in Reach as well? I could have sworn those red plasma rifles were in the game. I would really like to know more about them as they really outclass the blue ones. Hey man, thanks for posting this awesome video! Subscribed.
At any rate, you know what's surprising too me...the Banshee's top speed. While its maneuverability and cannons are great it wouldn't stand a chance against modern jets of today. Let's just say they better have great missile countermeasures and lot's of them. Yes, they have tough armor for a fighter but if a standard NATO caliber can tear one up the GAU-8 30mm cannon on an A10 Thunderbolt would absolutely melt a Banshee and from quite a distance away. Hell, we have helicopters that could ruin their day. Of course once the Seraphs come out to play we'd be utterly screwed...providing the Covenant don't grow tired of our jets and glass the lot of us from orbit.
Have you already made a forerunner armory video?
If not, maybe that's the next idea?
Well done.
Hey cannon I have just notest what happened to the halo ring in the ladt ring it was put off some how the chunk is in the side of the cukpit when they show us the ring if u notest it too tell me
Is the Beam Rifle not a thing? Did that evolve into one of the weapons featured cause I didnt see it on the list.
The focus rifle evolved into the beam rifle
You forgot the anti aircraft artillery wraiths! Still a great video!
13 yo me: Plasma Pistol is shit!
28 yo me: Plasma Pistol ole friend, cant beat Legendary without you
I wonder how the spikes in the needler actually shoot???????
It's like a miniature rail gun. The projectiles are elongated as the exit the barrel.
Thx ONI
"Iruiru Armory" XD
Wait, I thought the Plasma Repeater became slower but MORE accurate the more heat buildup there was?
What about the Spector???
I hope that the Focus Rifle never sees the light of day again after Reach on MCC/PC, it's SO annoying. Another thing that I hate is that the Campaign Elites can dual wield I'm Reach but the Spartans can't.
I actually really like the Focus Rifle. Felt much more unique than the Beam Rifle.
@@HaloCanon true, I always like when Covenant weapons are unique, it's just from bad experiences of Waterfront Firefight games with Jackal Snipers spawning with it out of bounds EACH WAVE!
Very unique indeed as I can't think of any other weapon that's completely fucking useless yet extremely annoying once you face jackals with it.
Bro,I dunno about others. But what I know and am sure of is that energy sword uses Methane and an electromagnetic field holds this to form enough grilling heat energy. And you said that they use shaped plasma. Wrong
It is described as a plasma sword.
@@oni5542 maybe yeah. But can you describe plasma? It isn't any energy. And yeah. Plasma doesn't electrify things. We can clearly see electro wave move through from the sword.
@@27-sahidulislam61 The Type-1 Energy Weapon/Sword consists of a curved hilt, housing an energy storage module and a device for projecting the plasma which forms the blade. The actual blade is composed of two partially ionized 'blades' of free moving electron based gas held in a blade-like form by two small magnetic-field generators built into the handle of the weapon. This forms and contains the oval shaped, ionized blades for which the weapon is recognized.
From Alpha
@@oni5542 that is what I was saying. By the way, the electron based thing you're talking about is methane. Methane burns. Whenever we switch the T-1 EW, it makes a gas trapping sound. This proves it EZly.
I C O N I C
THE GHOST IS 5 AND A HALF TON!?!?!?
343 better not be bullshitting
Only time will tell.
A random internet user it better tell right or else someone getting their booty clapped
Was the brute chopper invented by a covenant engineer?
I think I remember them being farm vehicles, and some brutes just added weapons to them
@@cold_lunch2 I see the Brutes have similar ideas to building armed vehicles as we do.
Reference, the first "tanks" were essentially tractors with guns and armor
Halo War 1 vehicle review plz
Could u do. A halo. 4 unsc armoury please
