Steven, the colonoscopy prep can make a person weak for a couple days. It’s worth it though. I’m a survivor of colorectal cancer. Had 2/3 of my colon & 1/3 of my rectum removed almost 7 years ago. Had chemo and ostomy bag for 6 months, then surgery to reattach the remaining colon and rectum. I’ve been doing well since then. Just have to take Imodium daily and watch my diet. I get a colonoscopy every 2-3 years now. Also- I think it’s recommended that All people 45 and older should get one every 5 years. I enjoyed the video! Tom
Edit: Doctor may recommend more frequent colonoscopy if polyps were removed.

Thank you Tom for the comment. I'm glad to hear that your recovery is going well. I was thinking about you today and wanted to ask if you had purchased a slingshot yet and if so how's that going ?

@@fitman046e I have the slingshot but can’t use it yet because I had a suspicious mole removed from my left triceps. Biopsy showed it was melanoma. Doctor thinks he got all of it, But I go back August 11 for a deeper and wider removal of the tissue. It’s an office procedure, but I’ll have a few stitches for 10 days. I’m still working out until then, but I have a scab on that spot, so I’ll try the slingshot near the end of the month.
      Thanks for asking!

I hope your colonoscopy test results were normal!

I had an upper GI done at the same time. Once they woke me up they told me that they weren't able to do the colonoscopy and rescheduled it for November, So I'll have to go through this again.

That's pretty impressive Steven, considering you hadn't eaten properly for 36 hours. I'd put your (relative) failure down to that entirely. Next week I'm sure you'll come out all guns blazing.

I hope so. Keeping my fingers crossed. How's your training coming along ?

@@fitman046e it's going ok, thanks, deadlift is fine. Bench is weak, as usual. I do seem to be suffering from sore knees at the minute which is negatively affecting my squat.

@@billwestwater3098 I don't know why but my deadlift is my weakest event. I have decided to switch to sumo because it seems to put less stress on my lower back. It seems like our class is loaded with me being the weakest lifter based on prior results. Third weakest lifter has 1155 total, so I'm not expecting much in Mongolia.

@@fitman046e Sumo deadlift? Respect!, I don't think my body will stretch into that shape any more.😀As to the lifters in our class, I'm sure there will be many/most who lift more - some far more - than me. I'm just going to do my best and let things turn out as they do
