I’m usually all about bracelets first. But the white dial seamaster just looks better on black rubber for me. I’m thinking of buying the white dial one and going for it on rubber which I’d never normally do. But the contract of the black and white is awesome!
that white dial is something. went to my local AD today to get the ball rolling on a Submariner (if such a process exists) to celebrate a recent milestone but left with this watch on my mind. interestingly enough, I had been checking out the Seamaster divers online prior to my visit because I knew I'd take a minute to look at them, I completely disregarded the white dial. Changed my mind when I saw it in person, what a fantastic watch.
I appreciate how modern Omegas and Rolexs have captive endlinks on the bracelets. Makes strap changes much easier and lessens the chances of losing track of endlinks. I have learned the hard way for sure. --Michael
Man! You're always one step ahead of me. I purchased the same white dial SMP 300m as you have Rob and was just thinking of sending you the link to Zealande. I have my SMP 300m on their white rubber strap and like you, I was VERY impressed by the quality, fit, tolerances and just overall quality of the product. Alexandre seems like a nice stand up guy. I chatted with him a bit after my purchase. I've not taken the watch off this rubber strap, haven't even sized the bracelet yet. Im in Florida, so will see how it holds up to sun and sea water. Great video again sir!!
Hey Manaz101 , could you upload a short vid of yours on white rubber? I have mine on Omega black rubber but thinking of adding white for summer. Here’s mine: ruclips.net/video/nWfddteRR7I/видео.html
Hi Rob - welcome to the Omega-on-a-rubber-strap club. You are exactly correct...don't be cheap on straps for a nice watch...$175 for a nice strap is about the market rate for Omega straps...not outrageous though not $9.95 either. Omega's own natos run $160...extremely well made and of high quality.
I bought two fitted straps for a couple of divers (Islander and NTH), and can’t get them seated properly to save my life. Also stupidly removed the fitted strap that CAME with another diver and now can’t get it back on. Watched this video hoping to see if there was some special trick to doing it, but you made it seem SO DAMN EASY. And you had a damn camera set up in your way too. Love your videos Rob, wish I could figure out how to do what you did.
It really does change the whole look so much, thats a really nice looking rubber strap, I think it looks great on your Seamaster, it gives a nice contrast to the white dial 👌
Hey Rob, great strap. I bought this strap about 3 years ago when they were cheaper. Got it for $82 plus shipping came out to $100. It’s my preferred strap for my Seamaster. Recently, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this strap also fits my Tag Heuer Aquaracer as well. Also, I’m not sure if you still have the baby marine master, but just tonight, I found out that it fits as well. Is not a perfect fit, but really close.
Enjoy , gives the piece a new dimension . I can’t wear rubber it irritates my wrist and regardless of the price I always find them uncomfortable. When slack watch feels really top heavy and wobbles around my wrist . tight strangles my wrist and feels very clingy..
175 usd no spring bars included wtf. sorry but for that price i would expect a lot more. where is it made? anyways i plan on getting isofrane for my seamaster.
How does this compare to Horus black rubber? I have the same watch and looking for rubber straps. Yeah..this white dial is meant for black rubber strap. The SS bracelet doesnt give it much contrast unlike black straps.
Rob I could use your help. I have a Omega Seamaster in black that I purchased the Zealande strap for. My tool (bergeon 6767) is just a little large at the u end. I have ordered some thing smaller. But I have noticed that both ends retract. With the tool I saw you use , how did you accomplish this? Did you use another tool ? I don't want to have to run back and forth to the jeweler. I also want to purchase the red strap. Can you help?
Well, this is vulcanized rubber and not silicone, which means that unlike the Barton it won't get gross, sticky, and attract dust and lint. It's also more flexible. That being said, hell no it's not worth $175. It's just rubber. The one thing you could say is that the curved bits at the end are reinforced with plastic to ensure a proper fit and strength, but still...no. I've had a ISOfrane (which is also ridiculously expensive) and yeah...not worth the price. There are clones that are nearly as good for a fraction of the price. What you're paying for is their "exclusive" rubber compound and hey, you've got a $5000 watch...don't you want a premium strap to go with it? People who buy Rolex and Omega will feel weird putting cheap straps on their premium watches. Which is why Omega's NATO straps are $180. Is it worth that? Of course not.
It’s the same diminishing return of a timex vs a Rolex. Sure the Timex works and tells time, Rolex is premium and luxury. If the price bothers you then buy the Timex.
I’ve been looking at this strap for my blue smp but keep on obsessing on the fact that the buckle is generic and doesn’t have the Omega logo on it. Would the Omega tang buckle fit on it?
I can't believe watch companys still don't incorporate quick release braclets for people to change over there straps, instead people just end up damageing there watches.
Man that strap makes the difference. Nice job! What’s the size of your Seamaster? I got my Black face 42, but yours looks a little bit bigger. Now I’m not sure if I wanted change it for a 45
I'm rocking mine on an Omega rubber strap. I wanted to preserve the metal bracelet. It was expensive, but looking at the flexibility, pound for pound I'd go with this aftermarket one tbh.
@@RandomRobReviews I bought a Tempomat of Madrid Rubber strap for my SMP 300 and the quality is good but I wish it was a bit longer. Covid-19 delayed shipping from Spain so it took 5 weeks to arrive but that's not their fault.
Anyone compare the Z to the OEM directly? Much better price, and easier to obtain! Looks great to me, but the reviews on the OEM are also fantastic, but for twice the price the OEM should be nice.
why don't these companies put a little nub on the inside for the keeper like Omega does on the OEM rubber? It's an absolute game-changer, I simply refuse to wear a rubber strap without it because I have smaller wrists and I would spend all day fixing the strap if not for that little nub!
This watch is absolutely brilliant. The thumbnail is easily enough to draw me to any video online. Just my biggest crush on any watch ever.

Rob, I'm so glad you did this, I just got a Great White myself and I've never had a watch as beautiful as this.
Looks much better on a black strap. Stands out more with great contrast to the white dial. It really pops. Nice job! You made it look simple.

Mines on rubber and will probably never be on anything else, it’s so comfy
Same here.

Mike D I’ve been rocking the Omega’s strap and it feels solid. No regrets
Looks great with the lovely white dial SMP!
Looks great on the rubber. Love Omega, just not any of their bracelets.
I’m kinda like that with Tudor. I have 2 of them but neither have a bracelet.
Can’t agree more. From 2 seamaster to moon watch. Omega bracelet is trash. I use OEM rubber and leather on my watches.

Why not the Omega black rubber strap? Saw great reviews !

That looks really great! Thanks for sharing the experience
Nice but then so is the awesome bracelet! 😁👍
Great video Rob, a white strap would look fantastic for summer 👍
I have the white dial 300m, I have just ordered this in Orange with the larger strap option, hopefully it fits as my wrist is 8.1 inch
Good looking watch I have all rubber straps i always put the buckle on the 6 side easier to put on wrist and more comfortable for me
This is exactly the band I will get on mine. I love the watch, but I don't like the band all that much. It looks freaking badass with that strap.
It looks dope! Thanks for sharing!
thank you! wow what a beautiful watch

That looks Awesome!!🤓
Beautiful strap

Swiss made. This premium strap is not for you. I get it. Many won’t go this level. It doesn’t make sense for most people.
Try the OEM price! Around 250 to 300 for the strap online and another fifty to two hundred for the buckle. No spring bars included!
@@benevolentautore4463 more, in France it's not available online, you have to go to the AD

its nice...too bad the buckle dosent have the omega logo
Rob for your viewers this is available in the Uk for £135 can I name the supplier?
Hi, I'm in England,, who's the supplier then, ?? Thanks,,
Looks great
Why the heck didn’t you put some tape on the watch lugs? Mental. Thanks for showing that strap option. Cheers. Why didn’t you buy the Omega strap?
The Seamaster just looks better on a rubber strap & it makes it very comfortable.

Hi Rob. Do you think this would potentially fit the Christopher Ward c60 trident pro 600 40mm?
Bruce needs to get a blue one for his 300 lol... The new Seamasters look so much better on mesh and rubber
That watch belongs on a black rubber fitted strap!!! Looks the business
If the price is less than $4k is that a good deal. Rubber strap comes with it not the stainless steel. Thanks
Funky. With all that white dial and ceramic black bezel and red writing it looks like a distant cousin of a Rolex ceramic panda Daytona.
Does this fit 2012 model? Is deployment clasp an option?

Looks great Rob I think better than the Genuine one to be honest 👌
So, the Great White is a keeper?
Yes
Until he flips it, maybe not as quick as the CW he just flipped without even wearing it.
I hope he keeps it. We'll see if it's around in a month. $5k could pay for a lot of watches but that one has pretty much everything you'd want.
caomhan84 Hes not getting $5000 for that watch if he sells it.
Kevin Wagner I wore the Ward plenty until the Omega arrived.
How can these possibly be worth $175? What is the difference between one of these and a barton silicone strap?

The OEM is way better. The zealande is too thin and flex too much. For a little more money. I use my OEM strap+ tang buckle as my daily.
Last time I priced the OEM online it was approaching $500 for the strap and buckle. Also seems hard to come by.

I got it too, and it wobbles a little too much in my opinion
