funny thing about Paige is that she’s had IT since her first college game. it looks like it all comes naturally. special player that could be an all timer (health permitting)
Paige is an incredible teammate. She is respected and adored by her teammates. The fans are in love with her. She and Caitlyn don’t have the same game but they will both lead their teams to championships.
Nicely done and I appreciate the work you put into this. And, may I add Paige deserved all this work. I have 3 concerns and here they are: 1. Off Dribble 3 PT: Paige and UCONN's game plan will dictate when and if she wants to take such a shot. It leaves the defense in a vulnerable position and it gives the opposition an opportunity to make transition points. Thus, UCONN chooses not to play that way. She could hit 10 3's a game if she chose to, straight up or moving. 2. Defensive pressure on one on one coverage: Again, we must consider UCONN's approach to that kind of defense. Switching defense well is a mandatory 'must do' for UCONN if the player wants minutes on the court. And, if a defender, let's say like Paige working as a guard, induces a player to drive around her to the right or the left she knows help will be waiting and she will go into what you call the 'roamer position' anticipating where a pass might be headed. Again, UCONN's style of play dictates how a defender should react. 3. Injuries: Of course it is a major concern and rightfully so. So, what conclusion can we come up with? Well, during this last major injury (from 2022 into 2023) Paige not only did everything she possibly could to rehabilitate successfully but at the same time she strengthened her body and she is much stronger than she has ever been. She is already understanding she needs to be stronger when she enters the WNBA. Thanks, again, Hunter. All the stats, the video's, your explanations and opinions, well done. Take care.
I really hope the Sparks get her, I think they can be a contender in a couple of years with her, cam and kea would be an amazing big three. Hopefully she stays healthy.
@@Hamilton47 It would be an ideal scenario for Paige, but more importantly Brink. In her years at Stanford, I felt she was misused, and the lack of a guard who could get her the ball in position held her back. Rickea is a pure scorer & the three of them are young and could provide a solid nucleus for the next 10 years.
Great video,, but if she gets another low leg injury, i dont think her stock will be as high as you mention in the video ofc. (same applys for Azzi Fudd) WE have had similar prospect in the past both NBA and WNBA, where they have 2 big injuries and about 8/10 dont make it potential wise, some become rotational players, some make it really good first year/two get injured (Derrick Rose/Brandon Roy ) etc.Even this year WNBA draft Elizabeth Kitley was in the first round for every mock draft, eventually went as low as 24. Without promoting other people work, there was article in the past week talking about WNBA injury problem, and that about 36% higher then in men in terms of knee/lower leg injury, 238 games (the most )was missed because of knee injury, and second is ankle at 141 games missed with 41 injuries. Referees this year have also not called many of the shooting landing fouls they should(the ringer calculated about 4/10 are not called correctly compared to NBA so that's ALOT 40%), we even saw in playoffs a player getting injured ( the defending player) because landing foul works both ways, if you step on the shooter leg you can get injured as the case here, they need to do much better job and call it and respect shooter landing space, and teach defenders not go into it, we lost 3 players to it alone this season, not good. A study published in 2020 reported that 195 total injuries resulting in 1,352 total missed games occurred in the WNBA between 2015 and 2019. However, this data was collected using publicly available injury reports after the completion of the seasons and minor injuries that did not result in games missed and/or appear on an injury report were omitted. As such, the data is likely incomplete and does not truly paint a full picture of injury occurrence and severity in the WNBA. (prime example Aces being coy/quiet about injury status and recovery, they will have player suited up in the bench who will never play but to play games like they are healthy)
@@faflafaflev3899 I agree. If, G-d forbid, she sustains another such injury, her stock would drop. Speaking of Kitley, how is she doing? Has there been any public word on her? A very talented player
One thing I don't think you mentioned is her passivity sometimes when she plays the 1. She hasn't been an aggressive scorer the way Caitlin is, she's unwilling to take control of a game. But she's talked about this and said that she's hoping to get rid of "passive Paige" for 2025. So we'll see!
This is a good point. I also see this passivity with other talented scorers like Rickea Jackson. Scoring ability isn't equally distributed and the better scorers should be more aggressive and look to take more shots. It's definitely an asset players like Clark have over them. But it's good to know she also sees this as a problem and is looking to fix it.
@@SinisterAristotle totally disagree. You dont need to shoot 27x a game to lead your team to victory. If you had actually watched her play you’d know she has been the reason for victory in untold games, not just by scoring. She makes a D play, or a great pass or a clutch shot so often people get used to it. She does exactly what they need, WHEN they need it, which often isn’t the end of the game. I could point out literally dozens of games where she broke the other team over a several minute stretch . She’s uncanny. She can completely take over a game scoring like she did against USC, or S Carolina as a Frosh, or Baylor in NCAAs or NC State in the Elite 8 to keep UConn’s final 4 atreak alive(maybe the best clutch performance in womens basketball history, go back and watch it), or practiclly every post season gamr last year. Moreover in 2/3 seasons she had to sheppard freshmen who had to play key minutes and without whom UConn had no chance. Paige worked very hard to get them involved, and give them confidence by setting them up in their favorite spots. When Freshman are scoring and confident, they play much harder on D, which where she knew UConn had to dominate to win. If CC was on UConn last year instead of Paige, she still would have shot 27x a game , maybe more, they would have been a .500 team. People who dont deeply understand basketball always underestimate leadership, clutch play and intangibles…they see a player scored the most points and assume they are the best player, regardless of efficient, ball security, defense or intangibles. That’s ignorant. You will never see a Paige led team not make the post season, she takes all the pressure of other players and allows them to thrive. If Paige shot 27x a game last year, instead of 17, UConn would have never made it to the Sweet 16. It was critical that she played the 4 and involved everyone, set the tone on D, and took every critically shot in crunch time. CC just bull dozes her way by shooting so much and being ball dominant, but she is terrible at protecting the ball and is low efficiency and a dumpster fire on D.
Excellent analysis. I came here based in Quita’s recommendation. One very small thing: I think she is 6’ 0” - but I might be wrong. Yeah, her elevation is very impressive.
Thanks Hunter 👍 Enjoyed this video feature of Bueckers. I think you covered alot of areas very well and projected with great accuracy. Paige is an Overall versatile and outstanding talent. It’s going to be very interesting to see how she adjusts in The WNBA. I think realistically, She will be Consistent carrying over her Solid game into The WNBA all being equal- However there are a few factors of how Successful, or not Successful, that I personally think will need Factored in. A. Physicality of The League- It’s not that Paige cannot Necessarily handle physicality, I’m just personally interested in seeing if Paige is going to face the Degree of Physicality along with Double-Triple Teaming by Opponents Defensively, Similar to what Caitlin did, and if so, I’m gonna be real here and just say, regardless of what anyone thinks, that such physicality and Being Doubled and Tripled up, is definately going to affect Paige’s Production and other things in her games. And that’s not to mention that with such physicality, we’re going to have to factor in the possibility of injury, or reoccurring injuries of Paige. If she does face Such Physicality and Opponents Doubled Defenses, It would free up other players on the Team, just like What my Team, the Fever Figured out and Utilized With Caitlin being used as a decoy of targeting, so that other players could get open, and also Caitlin Creating her own Space(s) and Lanes for Scoring as well. Caitlin is an Elite passer, and I’m sure wherever Paige ends up playing, they might utilize such Strategies as well. B. I think where page will be going is also going to be a factor., I say that, Not in the Factor of the Teams success, setting Team Success aside- Factor in Paige’s own means for success, and production. Because, depending on where Paige goes, and what Key Teammate Players are around her, it would be wise for them to build around Paige To give her, and the Team as well, the best chances at Success. And Paige is Most Definately a Caliber Player that a Franchise and Team would Be Best Suited to Build Around for sure. C. Defensive Trajectory As you pointed out Hunter, Does her Defensive Trajectory Continue? I think this part ‘Defense’ is important, Realistically, there’s No question Regarding Paige’s Offensive Production and Scoring Abilities, But she will have to be solid on defense or that’s going to leave a gap on whatever Team she’s playing, Unless they figure out a way to ensure that won’t factor in for her Defense. These WNBA Players are much Bigger, More Durable, Faster and Much more Physical than most college players. And At 5’11” Paige is similar to Height as Caitlin. Caitlin figured out How to Adjust, Endure and Overcome Those factors of College vs WNBA. Short Overview- Clark Finished The 2024 Season with 19.2 PPG/5.7 REB/ 8.4 AST / 1.3 STL / 213 Total DR Defensive Rebounds/ 53 Total Steals/ 27 Blocks / and 337 Total Assists. Will Paige also be able to do so? I mean, yeah realistically Factors, Abilities and Stats vary from players to players, But there are alot of similarities between Clark and Bueckers. And I’m sincerely wondering how Paige will Realistically Perform in the WNBA.
I was thinking about this too. I also think it was smart for her to go back to school from a mental perspective. She's never had a healthy offseason, so it was always rehab rehab rehab. Obviously she was still working this summer, but having that time away to travel was probably so good for her -- esp considering she won't have a free summer for like ... *hopefully* two ish decades
I can't wait to see Paige get deafted into the WNBA. O believe she could immediately have an winning impact be a ALL WNBA caliber player in her rookie. And I known people want her to go the Sparks but Paige to Msytics would be really cool. They almost made ths playoffs last year, ans Paige with the team can be really good quickly.
Nice analysis. What is your projection for Paige’s rookie year? Closer to Diana Taurasi (17, 4 and 4) or closer to Caitlin Clark (19, 6, 8)? I think these are pretty good benchmarks since both of their teams finished .500 in their rookie years.
Thank you, and good question! DT was first-team All-W as a rookie & finished 3rd in MVP, so I'd say like my projection for Paige's rookie season would be closer to All-WNBA caliber (Jackie Young for example) than just a solid All-Star (Jewell for example)
@@HunterCruse14 All-NBA Jackie Young’s stats (in 2023) were 18p, 4r, 4a with a 60+ TS%. Incredible efficiency! I could see Paige’s rookie stats looking similar except closer to 50 TS% due to her size not as much of an advantage. I noticed Paige’s height and wingspan are both 5-11 vs JY and CC who are at 6ft with 6-4” wingspan. Assuming these are accurate I think this will dampen her efficiency around the rim. She’ll still be great for a rookie but I can’t see All-nba until her sophomore year.
@@diamondintheback1970 I would have to see more from her this year to put her on the Taurassi level. Certainly not Clark level after she broke like 70 rookie records for the same position Paige is coming in at. No one should expect Paige to take over the league like that. I think if you averaged Rickea Jackson and Caitlin Clark this past season, that would be about where she lands in her rookie year. Paige has a good shot at being the top producer in her class, I would actually be surprised if she didn’t earn ROTY though - barring injury.
My biggest concern is her previous injuries. Being this young with injuries and going into a way more physical league, the WNBA, how will Paige hold up physically. These vets are going to test her ability to take a hit. Some players say she white privileged which is another thing Paige will have to deal with in the WNBA. Everyone is expecting Paige to be a number 1 pick for the draft. A lot of pressure.
Question marks? The physicality of the W and if she’s explosive/twitchy enough to compete with the quick pgs. But her strength is not her physical gifts, but her mental toughness/high bball iq. Also, she’s a fantastic team leader that fosters team unity. Hope she goes to the right team.
As a guy who grew up with Pat Head Summit being the head coach that brought me to this sport, I agree about Candace Parker. I see her possibly ending up at the Aces, which need a new coach. They have the team, but coaching and front office are atrocious.
Strength has nothing to do with injuries. Muscle strength may increase injuries, because stronger muscles tear ligaments more easily. Nika was hitting leg weights very hard and look what happened to her.
I was glad you talked about how Paige’s defense is impressive, but not a DPOY level as everyone likes to make it seem (generally in a bad faith effort to favorably compare her to other players). I was also glad you brought up off the dribble 3 pt shooting. There’s so much hand wringing about Caitlin’s “lack of midrange game,” and it feels like people don’t realize it’s not that she doesn’t have a midrange game, it’s that she can create at the three point line in the way Paige creates in the midrange, and threes are obviously worth more than twos. Paige may have a better three point percentage, but that doesn’t actually make her a better three point shooter because of the creation factor (as in, a half court pull up is a bit different than a catch and shoot three, plus the volume). Because of the three point creation, and Clark’s clear superiority as a passer, I do feel that Clark is the better prospect - I also value three pull ups more than twos, and while I do agree Paige is so automatic it feels like it doesn’t matter, I do think their efg% was the same and obviously CC was a higher scorer. Add to that CC’s edge in facilitating, though Paige is great there too, I think she has the edge. As I think Lincoln said in yalls Locked On video, CC is both the best PG and best shooting prospect of all time. But I definitely respect your opinion to the contrary! There’s definitely been an argument to made for Paige’s position versatility. As always, great video Hunter! Your bball IQ impresses me so much
Speculation about which WNBA team will get Paige is meaningless. Whichever team wins the draft lottery will get her. End of story. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the new Golden State team will get a choice in the 2025 draft; rather, they will be allowed to draft one player from each of the 12 exiting teams AFTER each team protects six players. This doesn't set them up to do well their first year, though I think they could compete for free agents.
Lucy Olsen has a better midrange game and she also was 3rd in scoring behind CC and Juju and ahead of Paige at 23.3 pts per game average. So let's not get carried away here.
You ask people to comment, I play basketball and football in school and I'm a sports junkie, this is hated, "PB" is 2- time better defense player than "CC", but Paige is 80 and Caitlin 80, make it make sense, A'ja is a better than Aliyah Boston, A'ja grade - 80, Aliyah grade- 70.
Caitlin is slightly better for me but if Paige comes out this season & makes pull-up 3s at a legit level, I may reconsider if she is a better prospect pre-draft
@@HunterCruse14 I’d argue Paige is a more complete scorer, as she can legitimately score at all 3 levels. Caitlin as good as she is can be predictable with her scoring at times, and she basically only scores from 3 and at the rim. And Paige is a LIGHTYEARS better defender. Caitlin is going to have to be protected defensively to win championships. I’m a Caitlin fan btw.
@taurlen Nah, you don't sound like a CC fan. She's better than Paige. The only thing CC needs more to be better than anybody in WNBA is her floaters. More floaters and that's the end.
y'all hyping Paige Bueckers because y'all want her to be number 1 draft pick playing in the Big East only enhance her chances of going against lesser players
Pleasee...she is going to uconn which is in the big east so they have to play against teams in the big east duhhh she cant do anything about that ....also uconn play non conference all the time and will play against teams in other conferences in the NCAA tournament.
*Clark's basketball IQ is high and she understands how to draw fouls very much like James Harden. It would make sense to the casual viewer that she is being "bullied," which is a credit to how well she sells it*
Caitlin was the best guard finisher in the W as a rookie lmao & Paige was the best finisher in CBB last season, regardless of position. I'm not worried
Why didnt we hear about Aja Wilson n other WNBA before Clark???? Why didnt the media promote them like they do Caitlin??? They wanted the attention then like they do now. But now they blame CC 22 for taking the attention away from them. What was the excuse for no attention on them before CC22. Just curious
@syds8752 oh great. So the viewership will not take a nosedive because Clark is out of the playoff. Aja loyal supporters and fans will break the wnba viewership number.
Caitlyn just wants her points. She’s selfish. Paige could easily score that much if she wanted to be a ball hog. Paige is a better all-around player and everybody in America likes her more than Caitlin. Truth.
Mate, she played the whole season as UConn's 4 due to a never ending stream of injuries to key pieces. She had to score more and pass less, but her passing remains elite.
The UConn roster situation was rough. She filled whatever role Geno needed out of her & it's not like you could make Nika a full-time off-ball guard -- just was much easier to move Paige around because she's elite in so many areas offensively
Hunter brought up Paige Buecker’s pull-up 3 point shooting at 25.7% as a weakness, then pointed to Caitlin Clark. However, Caitlin Clark’s pull-up three % is only 27.6% on 32 of 116 shooting per the WNBA site (her pull-up 2 % is only 28.5%). The only real difference in their pull-up 3 point shooting ability is volume. Clark took a little less than 3 per game vs Bueckers’s 0.9 per game. But I’m not so sure Clark shooting those at 27.6% is as much of a strength as Hunter makes it out to be. Yes, she it can space the floor, but Clark tends to be very streaky (eg, several games of around 10-15% 3 point shooting or even 0-7 in that allstar game).
She shot over 40% from 3 on pull-ups less than a year ago in college & the volume is important. She took more pull-up 3s as a rookie (and the deepest) we've ever seen. The percentages will come
@@EkulePrecious A couple points. 1) Analysis isn't 'bringing someone down' or 'hate'. Assessing performance requires comparisons, and comparison requires comparison to other players (whether some abstract aggregate or to actual concrete players, but the abstract aggregate is based on actual concrete performances). Otherwise, how do you know that 50% FG% shooting or 35% 3-pt shooting is 'good'? It's because you compare it to what other successful basketball players on successful teams are able to do. Numbers by themselves without reference to actual concrete performances are meaningless. 'Hate' implies that you actively wish players perform poorly / badly, even if you don't support the other team. That's completely different from critique. 2) Basketball is a competitive sport based on performances where accolades are zero-sum (even playing time is zero-sum) and winner takes all (there can only be one championship team, one MVP, one ROTY, a few All-WNBA players, etc). This is a completely different domain from something like parenting. Do you think Hunter comparing Paige's and Caitlin's score of 80 to Jacy Sheldon's score of 50 mean he is 'bringing down' / 'hating' on Sheldon? No, of course not. Do you think Hunter was 'bringing down' / 'hating' on Paige when he brought up pull-up 3-pt shooting as a weakness for Paige when compared to Clark? Your comment certainly didn't indicate that. But of course it's only because you're presented with inconvenient facts that you don't like that you care. God bless!
@@HunterCruse14 Good stats. I guess we'll see if that pull-up three % improves, or whether there are indeed structural differences from WNBA defenses and defenders (vs college defenses and defenders) that will make it permanently harder (which also makes Paige's numbers look all the worst). Only time will tell.
Paige will be attacked by the black girls in the WNBA as much as Caitlin has been. But Paige will snap like a twig (or like Cameron Brink did), and Paige will be out for the season in no time.
You didnt mention that she scores from anywhere on the floor and can turn mid range into a finish at the hoop. She also shoots OVER players at the rim and in mid range. She is also the best leader and passer in transition of any female ever. Her IQ and clutch performance is better than anyone. Also, she was elite on D out of position, and she was much better as a shot blocker than Maya. I also disagree about her D, her impact on D is absolutely elite, that’s what matters. Off ball 3? She shoots a much better from 3 than CC, oull 3 shooting is a choice and when you have options like Paige including the rest of her game and teammates. CC shot 37% from 3 and 44%% from the field, WAY lower than Paige. Paige also was an elite D player vs CC who was a dumpster fire. CC is all hype, she wasn’t even the best 3 pt shooter on her own team and ALL of her “good” stats were volume based, but efficiency and effectiveness. I dont understand her and CC having the same grade. Paige literally does everything better than Clark on O, and is WAY better on D and is far mire versatile and clutch. CC is James Harden, drive to her stong hand or shoot a step back 3. CC made 15 mid range shots ALL SEASON!! Terrible on D and off the ball, a ball dominant low efficiency scoring guard who chokes in the post season, has an incredibly predictable game, has poor intangibles ( technicals, Fights, whining, teammates who wont back her up, etc). Paige’s teammates woukd walk through fire for her. She led a team of 7 freshmen, as a freshman, to the final 4 and would have made the finals ( with a good chance if winning) if UCOnn’s bigs hadn’t missed 17/22 layups!! As a Sooh, ahe missed almost the entire regular season and came back from injury lead her team to the finals where no one else showed up. Last year Uconn lost 3 starters and more games to injury than an team in D1 history…and played 4 and carried them ( with 2 freshmen starters) to the Final 4 AGAIN, and was robbed of a chance to win the game on a very questionable call. CC made 2 Final 4’s in 4 years, one when Paige wasny playing. When Paige was, Paige was 3/3 and CC 1/3. Sorry, putting up low efficiency volume numbers like Harden, being a complete on D like Harden and choking at the biggest moments like Harden Does not make you great…it makes you Harden to Paige’s MJ. Dont forget, we just CC shot 35% and 18-% from 3 in her playoff debut and got swept
Lol. Paige spends more time in the hospital than the bb court. Bro you desperate with some Clark hate fo sho. Skinny Paige ain’t even play in the league yet. Can she even hang w the physicality ? BIG questuin mark
@cbrend22 The fanboy strikes again, thinking Paige has no weaknesses and is better than Caitlin in every respect. The only surprise is that you did not already award Paige most valuable player and rookie of the year before she played even one professional game. You might even move the Olympics forward so she can get her gold medal sooner. I wonder how you could have been so right about Caitlin while the rest of the basketball world was so wrong. Blindness must be your superpower.
lol valuing the midrange over the best 3 point shot creator ever is insane. And why don’t we see how Paige actually does in the W before you start waxing poetic about how much her teammates there love her and comparing her playoff performance to Clark’s?
Wokeness or sexual orientation has nothing to do with CC’s treatment this past season…that’s just the narrative the trolls want you to believe. The WNBA vets (and some retired players as well) were jealous that a rookie like CC was getting endorsement deals before even getting drafted, then brought all this attention to the league that they thought they deserved from way back, and then to top it off, filled visiting arenas with her fans everywhere she went, making practically every road game feel like a Fever home game. Paige has a chance to be treated a little better than CC, just because she’s from UCONN and the most influential people in the WNBA are UCONN alumni. Paige and CC are both white, straight, and despite what some of CC’s fans might want to believe, CC is not a Republican either, despite being from Iowa. It was just rookie hazing dialed up a notch, because of CC’s high profile.
Woke and also UCONN. Them pretending that means nothing is laughable. She'll have it 10 times easier than Clark and they'll cry she had it 10 times harder.
Lol this class going to suck. Only decent player is pagie but she a gamble. Injury proven player. She relys on her age and youth. She hasn't work on her body to take the bumps and bruise. Everyone else is question make. I doubt how many will make it to wnba.
@HunterCruse14 trust me bro this class 2025 gonna be on your worst to last draft class list. Is what it is. Other than uncon prospect I dont see others doing well. I will be watching your updated worst class draft next two years. This class 2025 will be on it.
I like Paige. But, she is fragile. If the treatment of Caitlyn Clark is any indicator, the bullies in the WNBA will knock her out for the season in the first game of the season.
@@steevee1945 I don't think Paige will have the noise surrounding her that Caitlin did. Plus she comes from a prestigious program in UConn. She will get hazed a bit/need to adjust to bigger stronger players but I don't think it will be to the same degree. She does need to be careful with her slight frame, though, physical defense or not, because all injury prevention is important.
@@smoothblink she’s built like matchsticks. Any GM looking at her must be VERY CONCEREND about durability. Injury prone players …look at most of the ones , they end up being role players or on bench too much in rehab
she'll have to adjust but what makes you think she'll get the "Caitlin treatment". from what I can tell people seem to like her and her followers aren't insufferable weirdos. we'll see what happens this upcoming season, but she's shown herself to be willing to combat that type of attention.
I guess I'm one of the few that is not real high on Page. The way she was beat back door and IMHO her lack of quickness and speed. I think she will be a middle of the pack rookie. Her inability to shoot the transition 3. Not sure she can defend the guards in the W on the perimeter. I don't see her as that volume scorer. With the defense getting tougher in the W and God forbid they defend her like they did Caitlin this season.10p 4 rbs and 3 assist rookie year.
@@mariettedorobis6967 didn't know we were speaking about Caitlin Clark. If we are, she does have quickness and can shoot the 3. Just completed 1 of the top 3 rookie seasons ever in the W. If not the top rookie season ever. Also went to the league and tried to get spot bonuses for players at away games when the arenas sold out. Away being the home team when the Fever was away. The league said no.
@@mazzas-OZ She might snag the rookie points record or the record for threes. Idk if I see her getting a triple double in her rookie year, but who knows. CC put the assist record on a high shelf, that's for sure. But you don't *need* to break records to have a phenomenal rookie season, or to become a great player.
Don't worry man,, she will thrive in the WNBActivist, players and teams will welcome her open arms, no harm will come to her I assure you.......,shes woke

@@byranwitherspoon5369 this will be a good rivalry. Wishing paige the best!
Nicely done and I appreciate the work you put into this. And, may I add Paige deserved all this work. I have 3 concerns and here they are:
Take care.

Great video,, but if she gets another low leg injury, i dont think her stock will be as high as you mention in the video ofc. (same applys for Azzi Fudd)
WE have had similar prospect in the past both NBA and WNBA, where they have 2 big injuries and about 8/10 dont make it potential wise, some become rotational players, some make it really good first year/two get injured (Derrick Rose/Brandon Roy ) etc.Even this year WNBA draft Elizabeth Kitley was in the first round for every mock draft, eventually went as low as 24.
@@faflafaflev3899 I totally agree with you about the landing space fouls. The league should care about keeping their players healthy.
@@faflafaflev3899 I agree. If, G-d forbid, she sustains another such injury, her stock would drop. Speaking of Kitley, how is she doing? Has there been any public word on her? A very talented player
@@written12her recovery is going pretty well, and she will probably start/come off the bench as a big to help out A’ja next year
One thing I don't think you mentioned is her passivity sometimes when she plays the 1. She hasn't been an aggressive scorer the way Caitlin is, she's unwilling to take control of a game. But she's talked about this and said that she's hoping to get rid of "passive Paige" for 2025. So we'll see!
This is a good point I forgot to mention. Paige's usage is weirdly low for a 20+ PPG scorer
I think the issue is the opposite. she's too passive when she plays off ball, she's more aggressive when she's at the 1 and has the ball in her hands.
Great stuff, Hunter! Any chance you could do Lucy Olsen, Iowa’s new point guard who transferred from Villanova?
her latest training vids makes me so excited, she looks more healthy too working on her body 💪
C. Defensive Trajectory
As you pointed out Hunter, Does her Defensive Trajectory Continue?
This is Paige’s first healthy offseason through her college career. It’s crazy to see how much she improved without an offseason
If she can stay healthy. That is a HUGE QUESTUIN MARK.
I hope she gets selected by a good team. She's a well rounded player.
Yes Paige is Special And I hope for everyone who enjoy basketball she can stay healthy cuz we will be witness to one of the great ONEs
Easiest scouting report you've ever done...
Paige Bueckers = Zero Weaknesses

Except injury prone
@@danielgattuzo3065imo paige is a better player than CC… less holes in her game
My biggest concern is her previous injuries. Being this young with injuries and going into a way more physical league, the WNBA, how will Paige hold up physically. These vets are going to test her ability to take a hit. Some players say she white privileged which is another thing Paige will have to deal with in the WNBA. Everyone is expecting Paige to be a number 1 pick for the draft. A lot of pressure.
She’s a beast! Her game is so smooth
Question marks? The physicality of the W and if she’s explosive/twitchy enough to compete with the quick pgs. But her strength is not her physical gifts, but her mental toughness/high bball iq. Also, she’s a fantastic team leader that fosters team unity. Hope she goes to the right team.
Banger
As a guy who grew up with Pat Head Summit being the head coach that brought me to this sport, I agree about Candace Parker. I see her possibly ending up at the Aces, which need a new coach. They have the team, but coaching and front office are atrocious.
I hope you’re right about Paige
I don't know how many times I have to correct this but she is 6 feet tall !! Listen when they announce the starting line up !!
She needs to improve her strength as she’s injury prone.. worried about the physicality of the W
Strength has nothing to do with injuries.
Muscle strength may increase injuries, because stronger muscles tear ligaments more easily.
Nika was hitting leg weights very hard and look what happened to her.
She has put on muscle weight… have you seen her recently?
This is her only weakness. Thankfully it can be fixed with the right help.
Your bball IQ impresses me so much
Clark's a superior passer? Dude, you sound silly, no she is not.
Agree
@@javigar133 she very much is, if you think differently I don’t think you’ve watched either player
Hunter can you PLEASE do a video ranking the worst GM's in the W... starting with Greg Bibb 🤦
Come on, you know she’s an exceptional talent.
Maybe a nit, but I'd like to see her shoot lefthanded shots with her left hand.

I'm looking forward to watching Paige Bueckers Playing in the WNBA with the Dallas Wings.
Lucy Olsen has a better midrange game and she also was 3rd in scoring behind CC and Juju and ahead of Paige at 23.3 pts per game average. So let's not get carried away here.

She’d like LA better than repressive and misogynist Texas.

Her getting injured is the reason why literally everybody discovered Clark😂
Paige Buckets will definitely be 1/1 in the 25 draft 🥇🏆👍 she a baby CC. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
If Paige and Caitlin Clark were in same draft, health concers aside, who is better prospect to you, and why

Did you take into account Caitlin is face guard 94 feet and double teamed and guarded even when she doesn't have the ball.
Caitlyn just wants her points. She’s selfish. Paige could easily score that much if she wanted to be a ball hog. Paige is a better all-around player and everybody in America likes her more than Caitlin.
Truth.
HOW CAN SHE BE CALLED A P.G. With only 3. 8 APG ???????? A Combo Guard yes but not a true P.G..........
Mate, she played the whole season as UConn's 4 due to a never ending stream of injuries to key pieces. She had to score more and pass less, but her passing remains elite.
The UConn roster situation was rough. She filled whatever role Geno needed out of her & it's not like you could make Nika a full-time off-ball guard -- just was much easier to move Paige around because she's elite in so many areas offensively
she was not their point guard this past season. she played off ball and sometimes even played the four position.
Why don’t y’all actually WATCH games instead of asking dumb questions?
Sounds like your afraid of mentioning Caitlin Clark
She's 6'0"
Bueckers going to the LA Spark and like Kamilla Cardoso of the Sky.... none input for the team
Social justice warrior like Paige will fit in the woke WNBA perfectly.
Social Justice is important. Being passionate and empathetic and inclusive is very important : thats woke. WOKE = GOOD.
The percentages will come
Just because you like paige, don't bring down CC. I love them both, but don't bring down CC to uplift paige. It's just not fair. God bless
@@EkulePrecious he’s just a hater obviously. Prolly a UConn Stan. Ignores how Clark has the all time assist record as a rookie and all time points.
Paige will be attacked by the black girls in the WNBA as much as Caitlin has been. But Paige will snap like a twig (or like Cameron Brink did), and Paige will be out for the season in no time.
So the white in the WNBA don't attacked no one.

Clark 8.9
I must have missed when Clark was playing the 4 for Iowa or when she was playing next to 2 other point guards on the roster.
CC has always the ball, Paige doesnt play that way. Who was Fresman of the year? Check your statement
FOOL. SHE PLAYED small forward last year with 2 other starting point guards, Nika & KK.
Terrible on D and off the ball, a ball dominant low efficiency scoring guard who chokes in the post season, has an incredibly predictable game, has poor intangibles ( technicals,
Fights, whining, teammates who wont back her up, etc). Paige’s teammates woukd walk through fire for her. She led a team of 7 freshmen, as a freshman, to the final
4 and would have made the finals ( with a good chance if winning) if UCOnn’s bigs hadn’t missed 17/22 layups!! When Paige was, Paige was 3/3 and CC
1/3. Sorry, putting up low efficiency volume numbers like Harden, being a complete
on D like Harden and choking at the biggest moments like Harden
Does not make you great…it makes you Harden to Paige’s MJ. Dont forget, we just CC shot 35% and 18-% from 3 in her playoff debut and got swept
This was edited and you still ended up with this???? Yikes.
Talk about hate. Got you writing an essay ❤
Why not uplift paige and don't bring down CC. God bless

@cbrend22
The fanboy strikes again, thinking Paige has no weaknesses and is better than Caitlin in every respect.
Paige is also Woke , so she will be welcomed .
*Irrelevant*
Still it’s a physical league w BIG BODIES. she’s built like a stick.
She is a true social justice warrior.
Go to Europe Paige. Save the lesson in hate and intent to injure in the W.
RACIST
@@shortaybrown The knee jerk reaction of unthinking leftists.
@@garymacmillan Fascist traitor trump voter says what? Enjoy 8 years of Kamala Harris. See you in 2033.
Paige does not have the ability to take over a game and lead a team to a win.
You’ve never watched Paige play, because she has done this countless times. This is one of the main reasons she won NPOY as a freshman.
You have not watched her play many games dude, just a CC Fanboy
Hahaha. She does that better than anybody.
Has Paige enrolled in a butt kicking class before she enter into the WNBA-they’re waiting on her-😊sisterhood is very strong-WELCOME ROOKIE
PB will be ok as she is at UCONN & already bent the knee
@NigelCooke-o5x Yep , she is woke , and comes from a woke state .
She praised the Black women when she won an award .
Sheeesh y’all sound miserable. Being a decent human is called woke these days
@@bennybenson5 Being woke, present day meaning is not being a decent person.
@@NigelCooke-o5x what does being woke mean since you like using it?
Lol this class going to suck. Only decent player is pagie but she a gamble. Injury proven player. She relys on her age and youth. She hasn't work on her body to take the bumps and bruise. Everyone else is question make. I doubt how many will make it to wnba.
This is far from true lollll. I have over 30 interesting prospects on my watchlist for this class
@HunterCruse14 trust me bro this class 2025 gonna be on your worst to last draft class list. Is what it is. Other than uncon prospect I dont see others doing well. I will be watching your updated worst class draft next two years. This class 2025 will be on it.
@@HunterCruse14 the next super star draft class with juju and them. Im going to sleep on this 2025. Draft prospects
This was a joke! You refer to PB AS though she is already in the WNBA.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
If she makes a whole season healthy I’ll be extremely impressed
@@ShaolinPrince718So, your saying this hazing that Clark has endured is justified targeting?
Another CC Fanboy hating on Buckets for no reason whatsover. You are worse than Curry fanboys
I definitely think her defense is overrated, and I do think it’s interesting her lack of three point shot creation isn’t really talked about
Caitlin could defend nobody. Like at añl
@@scottendicott3249 I was talking about Paige, not Caitlin
Je z, middle of the pack??? 😂😂😂😂😂
Paige Bueckers miss the Big Wave, one in the life time.... in the Rookies WNBA race.
Can Paige break all of Caitlin's rookie records 🤔
one can dream... get it "Dream"... team
If they don't treat her like they did CC, she will break some.
Can she stay healthy at all is the questuin ? Her usage rate so far has been abysmal
No, she isn't a ball hog
Don't worry man,, she will thrive in the WNBActivist, players and teams will welcome her open arms, no harm will come to her I assure you.......,shes woke
What does woke mean to you? Can you define it?
So? We are talking hoops here, and let me tell you Fanboy, she can hoops like no other
Ur like 50
Look at CC her defense is lazy she will give up on a play's and will not even try. Look at the video's.
Paige Bueckner is head and shoulders better then overhyped LeCaitlin Clark for sure not sorry LeCaitlin Clark fans 💯
Page will ride bench in W
😂
Her main weakness by far is her healthy ness. She always injured
No, she won’t.
Nonsense
