As a beginner I really wish I had found your channel sooner- I love how you explain everything so calmly and thoroughly and show every step :) thank you!
Yes ma’am! I love how you made it in two separate pieces so you could mix and match. I would have loved to see the yellow sleeves over your navy top. 😍
I really like this one too! I'm going to my closet after watching these videos to see if I have some sweatshirts to work with. Really enjoying these videos.
I love this, and like you, “I don’t give yellow enough credit”. I also wanted to say, that not wanting to stop, and try on things, isn’t lazy. I think it the acknowledgment, that it’s a disruption to the creative process. Who wants to break their flow? Of course we understand how important it is to the success of the project, but we’re still not lazy, for having second thoughts about doing it. Finally, I love your enthusiasm, and excitement over your creations. You’re such a good example, of loving ourselves, and basking in our accomplishments!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I run an extra bobbin of the same thread when I use a twin needle and use that on my second spool pin. I wish I was as creative at seeing things the way you do. So inspirational!
I’ve seen the reference pin you used for inspiration, and I actually pinned it. I think this perhaps would have looked better in a stretch or performance fabric, or even if you upcycled leggings? I actually think upcycling legging like this would be pretty cool. I do like your end result though, good job
Yassss! This is my favorite!! I totally love this and this is the one I chose. I wish I can sew. I recently bought a Singer and right now it's on the floor. I am inspired and I'm going to try this. Wish me luck!
That library card catalog cabinet! We used to have them (yes, I taught kids how to use them, lol) at the school where I teach. When they converted to computers I wish I had asked to have the old cabinets :(
My goodness, how gorgeous! It would also be dope to have a hoodie attached to the top piece when you just wanna have a hoodie day without a full hoodie & not changing your outfit! Love love this! 💛💛
Wow this one was complex! I loved ‘will I be smart or will I not be smart?’, I’m going to start saying that. I liked the sleeve bolero piece, you’re on to something. Thanks for making me laugh with your cute clavicles! 😉
I think YOU are my favorite! Guurl, you are inspiring and entertaining to watch. Thank you for your time and great videos. New subscriber. Been Watching your vids for weeks now.
i relate on the thread part hahaha. i've been doing upcycling because of your vids and i'm running out of threads already (lots of different colors) XD
I enjoyed how you made each of these "hoodie" upcycles your own. I liked all of them, but it's cold where I live and cut outs just mean a cold breeze! LOL. I like the bolero jacket from this a lot. And I will need to try the double needle because knit fabric and i are not friends at the sewing machine!
Ohhhh emmmm geeeee girrrrl thank you so much new subscriber!!! I have been feeling guilty getting rid of clothes and trying to upcycle, you even gave me the idea for my kids clothes, my daughter's winter shirts that won't fit her next year but the material is still light and flowy, I cut the sleeves to make tank tops and can now use for summer!!!!!
I loved this one...I want to do one with a hood. I saw another youtuber suggest using a thin elastic when turning in the edges on stretch fabric. They said it helps prevent some of the over stretch or rippling.
True story, I don’t sew and I’m not sure I truly have a desire to. I often have no idea what you’re doing until the final product. But I LOVE your upcycle videos! Thanks for the great and entertaining content.
I totally feel you! I love choose your own adventure books, and this is definitely my favorite! I was excited to see you do this upcycle, then you started with that jacket and I was like, WAIT! I have one of those style jackets that I don't enjoy wearing as it is, so now I totally have to try this DIY 😁 I think I would prefer sewing the two pieces together and treating it as one, but we'll see how it goes.
I love how you can copy something & make it your own!! I wanted a top to go with my Van shoes. I had a white t shirt & 1 that had the black/white checkered border square. So I cut out the square & glued it to the white t shirt. Vola! I got the top I wanted. Found a checkered shoe string & attached it to my sweatshirt on the sleeve. Got another top to match my Vans.
So excited for this series. I hit the thrift store yesterday n found what I need. Paid $1.10 per clothing item! Should be able to make 2 sweatshirt/cable sweater items & 9 shirts like your white mens dress shirt tunic!Turned around & donated all my items slated for Goodwill & just in time. Cali is locking down again sunday so I'll have projects to work on - my Christmas gift to myself! Yaaassss!
Tip for when you run out of thread like you did and only have a short distance to go. Fill up a bobbin from the remaining spool of thread and use the bobbin as your second spool.
Get that coverstitch machine. You won't be disappointed. Every machine has something to figure out, so what 😊 I think you'll be joyful in the end! Have Fun! 😊
Guuurrrlll you did it AGAIN!!!! I LOVE IT!!! I don’t know if I’ll be trying this one because I’m still teaching myself how to sew, so I know I’d be saying some not so nice words and throwing my machine on this one lol.
As a beginner I really wish I had found your channel sooner- I love how you explain everything so calmly and thoroughly and show every step :) thank you!
Thanks so much!! 😊💕
Yes ma’am! I love how you made it in two separate pieces so you could mix and match. I would have loved to see the yellow sleeves over your navy top. 😍

Love your realness! That part at end, running outta thread......GIRL SO ME!!! I felt you right there. Takes me a hundred years to sew one seam.
I love more warned separately. I will definitely dyi the bolero. I imagine a flashy color like neon for summer time
I think the lace up 2-tone sweater is my fav but this one turned out top notch, super professional.
You are absolutely right ! The inside out is how my mom used to do it
Your spatial skills are incredible. Love the little top to wear with other things. I am off to listen to the other 3 vids. Stay safe.
Thank you!! 😊💕
I enjoy your realness even when you make your mistake as we all due. The outcome is always on point love your up cycles and FB group👏🏾❣️
Thanks so much!! 😁
This One! I’m here for it and all that it can coordinate with!
When I’m sewing my kids run and hide because I swear so much when things go wrong.
🤣 It sure brings the angry out of me sometimes.
😉😀
🤣🤣💀
Amen
I really like this one too! I'm going to my closet after watching these videos to see if I have some sweatshirts to work with. Really enjoying these videos.
Love the way you take an Awhh Man, and turn it into an Ooo Wow.
That is a cat walk outfit. Three outfit for a weekend away. All made by hand. So good. Great work.
I like this one and I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who talks to themselves when they sew! You are refreshing, honest and inspiring!!
Yayyy, I'm not alone! Thanks so much!! 😁

I love this, and like you, “I don’t give yellow enough credit”. I also wanted to say, that not wanting to stop, and try on things, isn’t lazy. Wow that's an interesting piece. I like how you just get in there, and just do it.
That yellow would look great with the navy top you're wearing too.
Ooh yes! I didn't even think of that.
You have such a warm, positive spirit.
Thank you!! 😊💕
Just AWESOME!!!!
Thank you!! 😊💕

The zig-zag-stitch tip is amazing! I didn’t know that! I hope Santa heard my wishes for a sewing machine🧑🏻🎄
I run an extra bobbin of the same thread when I use a twin needle and use that on my second spool pin. I wish I was as creative at seeing things the way you do. So inspirational!
🤦🏽♀️ That makes so much sense! Thank you!! 😊
Love it Angelina ! As time goes on you will have more favourites too ! Thats how it should be, thanks for showing and sharing.
I’ve seen the reference pin you used for inspiration, and I actually pinned it. I think this perhaps would have looked better in a stretch or performance fabric, or even if you upcycled leggings? I actually think upcycling legging like this would be pretty cool. I do like your end result though, good job

Cute! I love yellow.

I totally feel you! I love choose your own adventure books, and this is definitely my favorite! I was excited to see you do this upcycle, then you started with that jacket and I was like, WAIT! You have me so inspired!!!

Yes, I love how it comes out completely unique too!
The planning of all these videos. We didn't deserve this😭 also you killed this:)
