I went natural three years ago and stopped going to the hairdresser. Your hairstyles and techniques give me the inspiration I need to to create amazing hairstyles and keep my hair healthy-for not a lot of money! Thank you for sharing your craft.
Both worked well... but I think I’ll stick to cornrows... it wasn’t enough of a difference to spend more time on threading... glad i got to see a side by side comparison.
My granddaughter has the same strong, beautiful hair as yours. She is 11 years old and she wants to stretch her hair and wear an Afro. I did a technique like the string technique you used, but I used large covered rubber bands. It stretched some but not as much as yours did. New subbie here and I want Ride with you. I'm showing my granddaughter how beautiful that thick curly hair she has is and we will get the products her hair requires and get it in its best condition. I'm sure your channel has other videos that can help me learn and teach my grandbaby how to take care of her hair. She has hair like my son who is her father, and he has dreads flowing to the middle of his back. You cannot stop his hair from growing, LOL. I'm happy she isn't asking for a perm!
I'm probably 50 years late but qick question, i recently just went natural and my hair doesn't seem to be growing much. Any tips ideas or advice you might have for me? My hair is kinda thin and soft defo not 4C maybe 4A/B
I love love your channel. Can you do a tutorial on how to protect your hair at night after each styles? also products and hair you use. You rock girl..
I have 4c hair. I did 6 cornrows and kept it overnight; loosened it in the morning and it stretched just a little bit. By the end of the day, my hair had shrunk completely. What do you think may have caused me not to yield the kind of result i expected? Our hair is about the same length.
Can I just braid it one by one without using the african thread? My hair is low porosity, the hair is thin, and part of my edges are balding and am trying to regrow the edges back, and I want to care for my hair without using heat as from now and I think I found a better option🤪😉😆😁🤩❤ Thanks
You are my hair mentor... You inspire me to learn how to style my own hair and now am getting better... Thanks dear keep up the good work.... More blessings.. Lots of love.
Do you ever have breakage at the root where the cornrow is parted? Or at the base of the treaded hair? I do but idk what to do. I only keep my hair in small twists because of this

Nice videos, well done. I also use rubber bands but not too tight so my hair doesn't break.
