    Just the kind of review I was looking for. Great video :)

    Good video!
    Btw, the description reads "Defince Mini C [...] A new Micro ATX case [...]".
    This is the larger variant, isn't it? Just a little confused because I thought this is normal ATX and not micro

    Finally someone who specified the fan compatibility in the front without removing part of the psu shroud

    This video was exactly what I was looking for. I'm thinking about the Define C case for my next build. I love the tip about the USB cable, thanks. I'm thinking about a CPU cooler instead of AIO water cooler, also. Great video, thanks again.

    Very good case, I had to get one myself! I had the option to go itx, but would mean a new board and chip. which is costly.
    Ended up getting this as its so small and compact + sound dampering! . my old case was nearly double the size of this and only had one dust filter.

    10 screws on the mobo sounds like a non-standard thing. I guess the standard number is 9.
    Plus, you don't necessarily need all the standoffs/screws installed, just the ones that might have pressure when installing cables and expansion cards on the mobo.
    And the one standoff w/o screw is pretty neat IMO, as you can place it into a spot that is not accessible with a screwdriver, like under a cooler. This way your mobo is supported but van remove it more easily later on, as you don't need to necessarily touch the cooler.

    *THANK YOU!* After watching *many many* reviews of this case, I still didn't have clue that the HDD-cage was slideable, although I knew Define-R5 has such feature, but most importantly, *no other reviewer told about the bottom-mount!*
    It's actually mounting holes for 3,5" HDD, not sure if SSD would fit the same holes.... and thanks to you, I'm now sure I'll get this case :) It fits me perfectly now that I know that I can remove the cage and still have 1 HDD + 1 SSD!!
    Sub'd

    Great build. I had a node 804 last year but it was just so boxy. I did downsize to an itx and I love it. but if I had the option again, I'd totally pick this one up.

    is there any room on the inside of the case for cpu-watercooling (240)? seems like it's not enough space there.

      thx for answering! so i actually have to put the watercooling in front i guess? like an H115 i or sth. cause i don't think it would fit in the top of the case cause of the motherboard and the ram?!

    I was wondering if this case support DVD or CD drive slots?

  • @OscarFernandez11

    Great Review, I really like this case for how compact and elegant it is and would like to use it for my upcoming workstation build. Do you know if an "SSI CEB" motherboard would fit like an Asus X99-E WS which is the one I got (12"x10.5") basically just 1" wider than a regular ATX motherboard.

    Love the review. If you still read the comments then I have 2 questions.
    How does the RM850x fit WITH the HDD slots in the case? I'm thinking of getting the Define C and an RM750x which is 180mm long but Fractal says that 175mm PSUs are the max.
    And any idea how well an nhd-15 will fit with Corsair's LPX ram? I know it will be a tight fit but will it fit at all?

  • @SBFRuggedYou

    Hey I’m going to be getting the fractal design define c TG edition, and I have the same powrler supply that you used in the build in the video. My concern is that on pcpartpicker.com it says that the psu exceeds the max length of 175mm of the case. The psu is 180mm. My question is were you able to fit it in there without any issues? Also were you able to keep the hdd cage with it? Thanks.

    • @Speed_7545
      @Speed_7545 6 лет назад

      StrugglePuff I'm guessing those 5mm will just make it a bit harder to manage the psu cables, atleast with the HDD cage.. altho u can slide it. Just a guess though

    question: is this the Mini C or normal C? in the video you say that the case has fullsize ATX board in it, so im abit confused :/

    • @WilliamRozear
      @WilliamRozear 8 лет назад +1

      It's the normal C. Mini C can't fit a full size ATX mobo.

    • @Eggrole85
      @Eggrole85 8 лет назад

      William Rozear Thats what i was thinking, but it looked so small, so i got confused 😝🤔😃

    • @WilliamRozear
      @WilliamRozear 8 лет назад +1

      Yeah, it's a super impressive case from fractal. Doing a system transfer once I can find one to buy XD

  • @johngaudy
    @johngaudy 7 лет назад

    Thanks for the helpful review. Totally what I am looking for--small case that still fits an ATX and built for high air flow.
    I have one question though!
    I recently bought with my current build a new PSU - EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2. It states it runs lengthwise 180mm, but the fractal define C specs on its webpage list the max recommended PSU size at 175mm. Is this going to pose a major problem? Or does it just infringe on the space where an optional floor fan can be put in?

    • @osvldo
      @osvldo 7 лет назад

      Kyle Kenny hey, I was asking myself the exact same thing today because I'm planning on getting that PS you mentionned as well as this case. Did you managed to find an answer ?

    • @johngaudy
      @johngaudy 7 лет назад

      osvldo not yet. its a real popular brand model so i have hope it will sit fine. worst case just omit the floor fan or jerry rig a smaller size fan in?

    • @osvldo
      @osvldo 7 лет назад

      not a fan of that solution, have you considered calling Fractal design to ask them as they would most likely be able to check it given how popular that PSU is

    Is this the Define C or the Define Mini C??

  • @MSTechie
    @MSTechie 8 лет назад +1

    Would you suggest this over the S340? (Not in terms of ATX vs MATX but in terms of build-of-ease and features)
    Side Note" I had a similar problem with routing my cpu 4-pin cable in my case. Didn't realize I'd have to route it before I installed my motherboard so now its just stuck in front of the window...

    • @rivaanranawat4405
      @rivaanranawat4405 8 лет назад

      S340 is one good case

    • @Signaworks
      @Signaworks 7 лет назад

      Just curious, did you end up with S340 or Define C?

    • @MSTechie
      @MSTechie 7 лет назад

      @Signaturisti I wasn't asking for me. Was just curious but if I had to choose, I'd go with the s340 anyways

    • @Signaworks
      @Signaworks 7 лет назад

      MS Techie S340 elite (not sure if normal as well) are quite a lot louder cases. In reviews S340E has been louder on idle than Define C has been under load!! And I dont personally like the ssd mounting places on the shroud, they should atleast be optional because not all of us have 2 or 3 SSDs nor do we want to show them (might not be of same maker etc...)

    • @Speed_7545
      @Speed_7545 6 лет назад +1

      The define c is superior in every single way except, opionative aeshtetics. Some may like the look of the s340 and some define C
